Thanks for the content Dave. I’m the same way about my Ranger Raptor, but what helps me keep the love.. I stay away for work at sea a month at a time. When I get to my truck and get that 3 hour drive. I fall in love all over again
I'm glad you got to have fun with your Raptor. A trip to the southwest will get you all the desert you need to open it up and catch some air. I have loved the Maverick and think they are a lot of truck for the money. A good all around vehicle. I like the lowered look.
Had my RR just over a month and I've driven all of Padre Island, raced sand dunes in New Mexico, and even did Hell's Revenge in MOAB. Get out in this thing It's a jack of all trades. Although that 107 limiter really annoyed me passing with short passing zones. Still way better than the 4 bangers with other manufacturers. Poor truck has had a very hard first month of creation 😅. Still trying to get all the tar off the vehicle. Storms brought alot of tar onto the beach. Now I really want to trade my tundra in for a bronco but I still need to haul a trailer so maybe a RHO in the future? Try to take time next year and attend the Texas Raptor Run
Man you're getting me VERY excited to pick my truck up. It's my dealers 3rd allocation for the year to be built in july. I got the color I wanted, shelter green, no graphics package beadlock capable wheels. I might get some method racing wheels immediately. I perfer the ranger raptors look over the gm twins. It looks smoothed out and functional. I've heard the performance headlights are some of the best performing headlights in the business. How do you feel about them at night? They must be good to be able to drive fast in the wide open desert. The whole truck looks like a good blend of form/function which i perfer over the GM twins.
@tylerdurden9391 I'm pretty sure there is an updated phaser that ford made to solve the issue in newer vehicles. Have you had issues with it before? I wouldn't be suprised if auto start/stop played a big roll in this issue. I can't stand that system on any car. It accelerates wear on so many parts in the engine
Finally happened with my ranger raptor too, cam phasers were toast at 1200 miles and it’s been in the shop for over a month now getting a replacement engine with no ETA on a left side turbo. Built Ford tough
I have a Maverick along with my Base Squatch. As far as the gear knob, I'd rather have a column shifter if I can't have a console shifter. Last weekend, I brought home fifty pieces of Saint Augustine sod and the little Maverick did just fine (grass stacked up to the top of the rear window).
I looked at a 24 Toyota taco first but just not impressed and my god was it expensive for what it was. Test drove the 24 Ranger Lariat and remembered why I have owned 2 previously. Gonna park my new one next to my 93 4x4 Splash and name it Blue 2.0.

I’m not sold on the straight 6 just yet but the TRX was a nice drive so I expect that to to stay the same
I dropped by my dealer here in Kentucky and they had a Ranger Raptor. Test drove it. I love my Tremor but man what a level up the Raptor was!

With everything you now know about the ranger raptor, would you buy it if your only option was 6k over MSRP?
I really like the truck but I would not pay over for any of them
@@AllTerrainNation its tough out here in California 😂 lol

Do you have trouble closing the hood?
Haven't but I've only opened it a couple times
