I loved when Gatti ko'd joey Gamache. That was brutal knockout. Yeah man Gatti was a true peoples champ. Gatti vs Cotto would of been a good one. Wish that fight could of happened. When I went to the Canadian Junior Boxing Nationals representing my province of BC in 1990 in Hull Quebec I saw Gatti fighting for Quebec. Amazing boxer. Smooth, slick and a powerful puncher. Back in the 80s and 90s we were boxing ever few weeks. Mike is right. Boxers back then were always fighting and we visited and sparred against other fighters from other clubs. Boxing ain't the same anymore. There are some great fighters but the culture isn't what it used to be.

I like this guy, Mickey Ward. He talks like a man. No fluff. No bullshit.
You can tell that Mickey and Mike have a different communication and connection than the other guy. Nothing against the other guy in the interview.
But you can just see that Mike can say a lot to Mickey without using many words. And vice-versa.
Takes a lot of heart to forgive a piece of shit who smashes your hand up on purpose.
Who cares that he’s a cop. He is a human being and did something bad. But the fact that Mickey forgave him shows his character. Smart to not let it eat at you.
