Part 1: • Zab Judah on Being Und...
In this clip, Zab Judah talked about being introduced to boxing at the age of 5 by his father and his experience as an amateur as he amassed an impressive 115-5 record. Zab also revealed why Micky Ward was the toughest fighter he ever faced.
“You was the best out of all them”
“Nah I just went the furthest”
Like how he ain’t shit on his brothers
Fuck off mate
5 1310 He said he likes how he didn’t shit on them
5 1310 Man shut up
5 1310 that's literally what he's saying.
+5 1310 You one of them niggas who read a lot of books to feel smart but don’t actually understand any of the shit you read
It is refreshing to hear a boxer talk about how hurt he was and how he intentionally avoided the guy around the ring. A lot of boxers won't admit they were hurt no matter what. Good segment.
Now that his career is over ya. You don't hear about non "major" injuries while a boxer is still fighting.
@@PhilipOII247 Yeah, they're only going to openly admit to it after their career is over
Floyd got hurt once but beat dude every round after floyd never avoided he just had defense n countered
Yeah because if they admit it then the next boxer they fight will do their homework and attack your weak spots. Its actually a defense Mechanism as a boxer .
@@Jordanelev3n Barrera trashed Floyd bad and they gave him the decision anyways... Floyd buffed up his defense after that fight
I like that he's honest and humble about wanting to stop the fight and running away. Most people would never admit to this.
He keeping it 💯
RamsestheGreat yeah bro he definitly keeping it real all the way
Thats a fact. Nothing unmanly about being honest at all, its when people act tough and knowingly lie that i see them as weak.
There’s nothing like taking a mean liver blow or kidney shot.
Comfortability in your own skin is the utmost pleasure one can experience in their livelihood.
#Ramsesthegreat super facts
Zab you won me over. The way boxing portrays you is totally opposite of who you seem now. You are truly inspirational.
100 percent agree. Boxing/media portrayed him as a thug. Man has real character.
Zab was never a thug. He was just young, dumb and didn't handle some forms of pressure well.
He's chilled out with age but make no mistake Zab was his own worst enemy & he did plenty of ignorant shit.
Hell he'll tell you better than anyone.
"I didn't do the best, I went 4the furthest..."
Humble.
New respect 4 him.
"Use your other ribs" is the sickest thing ever said to a kid 🤣🤣
Lol
David Wight yooooooooooooooo 💀
@dwight 88 the day I would've ended it all 😂😂🤦🏾♂️
LOL....How about "If you Lose, don't come home"
Smfh!!!
Lmao best line ever
it says a lot about his character that he chose not to flex on his brothers and said he wasn’t the best just went the furthest
Rico Alexander even though Zab has lost his cool in the ring a couoetimes, at other times he’s been a pretty genuine, humble fighter, I met him during a fight he was promoting on the Miss coast after Katrina and I walked right up to him dapped him and thanked them for putting on the fights for the gulf coast and he seemed genuinely gracious of the exchange.
U gota realize too this is a older humble Judah as well....a younger zab more in his prime might not had responded the same way
I REALLY LIKED THAT ANSWER!
Says a lot about the interviewer

@southside312 yup very lame
Mickey Ward was a true ring warrior and gave everyone a tough fight
Gabe Lopez he had a tough life to. He preserved thru a lot of shit. I couldn’t agree more!
Micky lost to emmanuel agustus tho. The judges didn’t see it that way tho
@@tlawson5787 Emmanuel is criminally underrated
@@elbowgang9715 the drunken master
Stephen May Floyd Mayweather was asked the same question as zab here and Floyd said emanuel was the toughest guy he ever fought in his life. His style and he kept coming. Floyd never praises other guys but he spoke highly of Emanuel a few times on interview

He's probably got a front row seat to Ali vs. Marciano 🤯
RIP to grandad
RIP!
Jaction Johnson lol wow
RIP to ur grandpa dude I know the feeling
Zab has come a long way. I've followed his carrier and he was always too emotional. He looks good and he's been giving real and honest interviews. Still sounds clear headed. I wish him a long and safe life. Thanks for the fireworks!!
Lol I use to be washin people with Micky Ward on Fight Night, he was a beast
Forcas I use to love that game. I liked the one on ps2
Fr he could take a million punches to the face and still be good lol like in real life
Lmao him and Pernell Whitaker was beasts
@@bugg2032 Lol Yep. People who I played that didn't know about Micky, swore I put in a cheat code because of how much damage he could take
@@Forcas00 whixh fight night
This is a good light hearted story......it's rare when one of the best and toughest boxers out there can express himself like that
Its amazing how humble and gracious he has become. Hes kinda like Tyson. He was a crazy wild champion from Brooklyn with kind of a bad reputation and now hes humble and wise, and... great.
Zab: He broke my ribs!
Zabs Dad: I dont give a shit about your ribs you know what I'm saying? Use your other ribs.
(8:33)
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
😂 I was dead when he said that. His father a g for that tho.
7:33
Maaan, I'm so shocked at how humble, honest and likeable he seems to be....During his prime, all I saw from him other than the talent was the typical cockiness and trash talking that we seem to see in so many boxers over the years....Stoke for this full interview...
you talking about a alpha male in his prime years. of course hes gonna be cocky. it comes with the job. most fighters are humble but wont back down when push comes to shove.
zab is past all that now. hes super chill just like most fighters after they stop. he has nothing to prove anymore.
All that cocky stuff is about selling tickets and creating hype. A fighter needs confidence but they are always fearful and humble as they know defeat, failure, serious injury or worse can visit them anytime in the ring. It's a good point you make though, i love listening to boxers outside of the ring and away from the promotional hype as they are more often than not some of the most respectful and humble people you will ever have the pleasure of listening to.
LoL I like how he willing to admit he was ready to quit 😂🦾
Julius Byes 😂😂😂😂
These are the type of interviews Vlad should do not low level rappers who incriminate themselves in interviews
LOVE boxing but damn i HATE seeing the damage it does to them...
This interview cracks me up every time he speaks about the Mickey Ward fight. 😅 Shout out to Zab.
These amateur records look like perfectly rounded numbers. I still love you Zab
I could listen to Zab all day. Glad he retired intact. Keep smiling my brother 😀
This is one of the reasons why every kid needs to have ther. Father in ther life.
The only guy to knock Floyd down. He did it with a simple, clean, timed check hook.
Real niggas from the 80's are like a national treasure, I swear.
Too funny. Never wouldn’t imagined Zab was so Humble.........Love this
Dad: “Step to it son, let’s go “
Zab: “I can’t, he broke my ribs”
Dad: “Fuck yo ribs, use your other ribs”
That part was funny
Zab seems such a chilled out guy, it's hard to imagine him acting crazy like he did sometimes in the past.
I thought the same thing. Dude is mad humble now. Respect.
He's high.....
@@jgil64 Haha, could be I just think hes not in War mode anymore definitely since he retired and now hes older and wiser Zab "ZEN MASTER" Judah, lol
Yh it's like Tyson they smoke weed to take the aggression they have had to have in the boxing world
He looks/sounds well, seems like hes in good spirit. too many boxers lose it all once theyre no longer in their prime whether it be all the $,fame, health or all of them. Glad to see dude doing well
Everybody need a dad that would push them through hard times
That is some real ish, my man said dad stop the fight😂
Ward vs Zab was intense
8:38 LOL. I've never heard that before. "Use your other rib"
I would never expect him to say mayweather was his toughest fight....he did good the first 5 rounds and ultimately may adjusted and stole the show. Zab was faster but May was smarter. Zab you the man , went in with killers👌🏽
I remember Zab judah spinning rims damn time flew by
Good story. Always liked Zab. He'd make a great fight commentator.
Mickey ward was a tank. That guy can seriously take abuse man. And also dish it back out. One of my favorites of all time. Respect to zab too. He seems alot more humble and down to earth now thank god. If you know you know!!!
I was a big fan of Zab dad Yoel Judah as a kid. I didn't even know they were related at first. I used to watch Zab fight and say damn he look farmilar. Looks just like his dad when he was fighting
Good to see Zab looking healthy and well
This guy has such a calm aura with him all the time
Zab was so slick. But yea Mickey Ward's body punch was the great equalizer. He stopped a lot of fighters who were outclassing him until he got 'em with that one liver shot.
Big Respect for Judah real Gangster!!👊
Who remembers that punch that gave zab the “wobble” legs & discombobulated
SouthEast Wink 202 yeah that was kostya tszyu
One of the best interviews. Shoutout to Zab! Talk about a straight shooter. Wow.
Zab is someone I’ll always respect
Zab almost gave Floyd the L. He just couldn't figure out Floyds adjustments. This man was a beast in that division.
Zab has always been one of my favorite boxers and his humble personality speaks volumes of his greatness not only as a boxer but as a human being! Zab was faster than lightning!
Micky Ward was a really tough dude
Zab is a really cool dude. I remember him hanging out in Justin's back in the day, and everytime I saw him there he was madd cool, entourage and all. NY stand up.
Ward-Gatti was legendary
His criteria of difficulty must have levels because he got beat bad a few different ways, lost to Paul Malignaggi (how!), KO’d by Khan (smh), out-skilled by Floyd, bullied by Baldomir & dog walked by kostya-tszyu (in his prime). Tszyu had to be his toughest fight besides Floyd. I just think it’s more frustrating to fight someone you can’t figure out
Zab your a class class act nothing but the highest respect for you honest and entertaining interview
Zab he is one of my favorite boxers of all time … homeboy was a gangsta
Mickey Ward was used to fighting guys way bigger than him... Goes to say he'd be a tough opponent for a guy his size
This was my favorite boxer still is fr
Stop the fight Judah you got laughing 😂 😂😂
a MICKY WARD body shot ain't no joke
"He broke my ribs. Use the other ribs". 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad to see Zab!
Never liked Zab for so many reasons, yet for some reason I pulled for him in so many fights. But he's very likeable here for sure. Mickey Ward's post fight interview after he demolished Shea Neary, they were asking him about how it felt to win again after the Judah fight, etc. and Ward said in his Boston Irish accent, "look, there's no shame in losing to Judah - I mean it don't get no better than that". That was when Judah was still an undefeated, gifted fighter who people thought would become the lb for lb #1 someday. That right hand from Tzyu changed everything, ugh.
Shout out ALL the real Father’s
Imagine if he was in his prime today, he would destroy Tank!
“He hit you in the Kidney” 🤣🤣🤣
Down on bended knee! Yep I remember seeing Mickey ward’s body shot finishes!🥊🥊. Zab #1
Awesome interview.. Great job Champ.
Zab has a lot of class.
Interesting...I would have guessed Kostya Tsu & I watched the Ward & Mayweather fights. Saw quite a few Judah fights. Never saw a Ward fight that wasn’t entertaining but I can’t really recall a boring Judah fight off the top of my head, either. As someone who primarily competed in kickboxing, I’m blown away to find out who his dad, is after all these years. I had no idea. Beast family!!
SMH, that Kostya fight didn't last long enough to be his hardest.
GREAT Interview!! What A Champion And Gentleman!!
Vlad really showcasing how bitter and petty he is here and there.
"F them ribs" that had me lmao.
Zab is the only guy i think was actually beating Floyd. He just lost his cool. Shout out Zab! He been amongst the best! Legend!
Yeah he had the tools to beat him just not as mentally strong nor durable like Floyd. That was the difference imo
Mickey Ward should have a the body shot section at the HOF.
Ward said in an interview that Zab was too fast therefore a rematch would never happen. If he had known the damage he had done to Zab.....
I just became a Zab fan. Great interview.
T.K. Kirkland bought Zab his first pair of boxing gloves and introduced him to the pugilistic art.
Zab: I BROKE MY RIBS!
Zab's dad: USE YOUR OTHER RIBS!
thAt was a GREAT fucking fight!!!!
Micky Ward was no fucking joke at any point of his career.
Great interview mayne!
Zab Judah a fucking beast very fast and smart boxer I used to watch him when I was younger he one of the best I ever seen
7:33 Never heard Vlad laugh sooo loud. Zab is going to be a regular like Boosie. 😂😂😂😂
Zab Judah seems like cool people. I know a lot of people dogged him out for his against Kostya. But he never dodged anybody and showed a lot of heart in all his fights. Horrible that Don King took his money too
Never heard Clas laugh that hard lol got me laughing lol
Zab seems to be a really good guy.
Crazy my friend from my gym back in the day, Champs Gym in North Philly, his name was Jermal Corbin fought Ward on Tuesday Night Fights on USA. I was hype, now this the first time I knew somebody actually on TV fighting professionally, a guy I saw training HARD, everyday. I could be mistaken but, I believe Mr. Naz (Nazim Richardson) was in his corner. Jermal put together an early lead, but Ward kept landing that left hook to the body. I was yelling at the TV for my man to get off the ropes, slide out, jab, because Ward even then could get close. In the 6th round, Jermal didn't come out, Ward broke his ribs they were saying. It didn't matter to me, win or lose Jermal was the shit to me that day. I was a young bol bout 14 15 maybe a year or so younger. So watching that fight that long ago, shit I know what Ward's power could do. Remember a body shot, I should say a body shot from a guy with power hurts, head shots that kind of power knocks you out, you don't feel it, a powerful body shot hurt, you talking multiple shots getting hit with them in the same area? Zab ain't less of a fighter because he wanted the fight stopped, Zab was great at one point. He imo just wasn't a hungry fighter once he got titles and money. This just shows how much heart he had. I remember his fight with Kosta Tzo (spelled all da way wrong) his head automatically told him get up, but his body was in shock. His foot and leg looked awkward and crazy but he wanted to fight. I think he won the fight with the ref, judges scored that a no contest.😂
The ref was right to stop that one. Recently Zab almost lost his life trying to fight again. That could've been tragic. All praise to Allah he is still here. Zab Judah was a great fighter. I'm a hard critic on boxers, I love the sport, I was a gym rat growing up, and Zab has my utmost respect. He was an artist the way he used angles to attack. When Zab was hungry, nobody could've beat him, well maybe Floyd. And that's a big maybe. I say that because of two things, 1st. Floyd mastered making adjustments during the fight, and 2nd. Floyd was always in great fighting shape.
I’ll always love Zab. Should have stayed at 135-140.
The effects of all those punches to the dome are there.
That was Dope and Motivational....
-I think he broke my ribs
Dad - Fuck them ribs! 😂🤣
Dude was an entertaining fighter
I feel for him 120 fights as a kid. CTE
Zab judah look like he took a parachute to the interview
Peace to Zab 🔥💯🔥 🥊🥊
Honestly I had never seen any of Zab’s interviews until several years ago. All I had seen was his fights and in the ring he was one of those fighters that I did not like at all. First fight I seen was against a tall lanky Mexican guy that he put a beating on he knocked him down like 3-4 times in one round but didn’t faze him much and he was being cocky and he rubbed me the wrong way. Seen a few fights after that and same thing so always rooted against him. I just didn’t like him. When I seen the very first interview of his I immediately flipped and thought this guy is real and honest. Liked the guy ever since. Rooted for him in all the fight I seen after that. Huge Zab fan happy that he had a great career. So devastated when he lost his 0 to Tszyu. He had a great career tho!!
Mickey Ward was the body shot king man😂
Zab sounding like he got that Drunk-dry tongue
I will never forgive Zab for quitting against Khan. That was some embarrassing shit.
"Right Jab like Zab Judah"
One of my favorite fighters!!!
Jab smoother than Zab Juddah in black Pumas!!!
Zab was in a era full of nasty killers in his weight class
Exactly
Talking bout KILLERS bro my favorite era of boxing
He fought everyone too
and he could beat them all for the first 6.....after that is when his trouble started
