HI! How does inhibitor effect coating performance?
is the "Hold Blast" OK with epoxy over it.? another question...since you already put a rust inhibitive product on the steel could you just paint the steel without using a DTM paint...?
Part 1: It is approved for coating application and does not need to be sweep blasted unless the PDS or specification calls out otherwise.
Part 2: Hold Blast does not act as a primer and you would still need a base coat when applying products not intended for direct to metal application.
The dry blast would not have "flash rusted" had you not got it WET with the wet blasting.
So you're attributing the flash rust to the mist of the wet blasting water - that didn't rust the neighboring square that was drenched with it?
I agree with colourcodetools, bit silly blasting a square side by side of course mist will hit the dry patch😂
