We've been reading your comments and thought we'd answer some of the more common ones here:
Q: What happened to all that glass and paint?
A: With Dustless Blasting, the spent media and paint don't go very far. Water encapsulates the particles being removed, and they drop to the ground. When you blast over a hard surface, like this one, you can scoop or sweep up the spent media. Others choose to blast over a plastic tarp, which catches the media and can be rolled up and thrown away.
Q: Doesn't water cause the metal to rust?
A: By using a specially formulated Rust Inhibitor, you can prevent flash rust for up to 72 hours. Add the inhibitor to the blast water to prevent flash rust during blasting, and then use it as a rinse after blasting is complete. This will give you or the customer plenty of time to prime the vehicle.
Q: I once tried Sandblasting a car and the dust was awful. How is Dustless Blasting better?
A: The water in the process suppresses the dust plume and allows you to use far less media than traditional dry blasting. If you've ever sandblasted before, you'll know how dirty everything can get, Dustless Blasting helps solve this problem.
Q: Is it expensive to buy Dustless Blasting equipment?
A: Our turn-key mobile equipment is no more than the price of a nice pickup truck. And unlike a pickup truck, the Dustless Blasting system gives you the ability to earn, on average, $300/hour. And because it's not a franchise, you'll never have to pay ongoing fees or royalties - you truly own your business.
Imagine how much money you could make with this level of productivity. It's no surprise that new Dustless Blaster owners are calling it "magic". The Dustless Blaster is faster, easier, and cleaner than any other blaster on the market. We've been designing and manufacturing top quality blasters since 1941, and continuous improvement has brought us to Dustless Blasting. The most incredible advancement in blasting technology in over 60 years. Find out why the Dustless Blaster is the best abrasive blaster.

I have to ask, as a small business owner, what kind of liabilities there might be? If the media is recycled bottle glass, and paint is being removed, how is that all cleaned up at the end of the job? Can a child with bare feet run across that driveway? I'm not too familiar with that type of blasting media, but I know what having fiberglass insulation come into contact with skin feels like. Are the micro-chips of paint left to wash down the nearest storm drain? Again, I'm not trying to be critical, but if you stop to think that a bunch of contractors building a home are required to erect those fabric dust barriers - for digging dirt, what must the requirements for blasting paint with glass media be? I would imagine that at least a portable shelter with a capacity for containment would be required by most municipalities. I have 2 old cars, and this system looks awesome, compared to the time it takes to do only a small bit of sanding. I think that as a homeowner, if someone didn't mind having the residue melt in with their backyard, they might get away with it, behind a privacy fence. But I would really be careful offering this as a customer based service, without the capacity for containment and disposal.

In 1989 I dropped off my wife's car which was being repainted by the dealer under factory authorization for failure of the clearcoat and underlying paint.
A little more than an hour after Ieft the dealer I had to go back to get the garage door opener from the sun visor. The two-man crew working on the car had it 80% to the bare metal where they were located in the corner of the body shop and after seeing this video I believe that they using a process similar to what's shown in this video.
My wife, notorious for keeping her vehicles for a long time, admired the paint on her '88 Bonneville SE for the next ten years or so and the finish on that car was an outstanding feature since the dealer did an impeccable job on the repaint.

That annoys me when businesses are booked for months out. Buy more equipment and hire more people. You're inviting competition to move in. Having months of work does not mean you are successful it means you cant handle demand and you aren't satisfying clients. Who wants to wait six months to get their job done?
