His teammate was payed to not overtake and defend from anyone behind and they found illegal parts on the car (all cars are supposed to be equal spec in F3) He bought his way through F3 which makes his comments about people buying their way through the junior series even worse!

In his autobiography Nicki Lauda wrote about how the super license was created to stop people buying an F1 drive. Stroll cheated in F3 to qualify for a super license and then bought a seat. If his Dad didn't own the team I don't think anyone would have them on their team.
The Strolls don’t care what you think. Lance is in F1 on his own merits and will stay there as long as he wants. Saves the team more than he costs them as only driver not drawing a salary

It's not a matter of where you come from, but of what you plan to become. Ayrton Senna came from a wealthy family, but was a super humble man, just like Hamilton, who had a complicated childhood due to his parents separation. On the other hand, if you are assigned to interview him you know that you'll be out of there early enough to catch the full happy hour. So there's that.
He's a legit F1 driver, below-average relative to the grid but not ridiculously out of place like Mazepin, and never was the worst or even second worse on the grid on any given year. Drivers of his level usually last for 3 or 4 seasons (think somewhere in between Paul DiResta and Esteban Gutierrez, but probably a bit closer to DiResta) and then loses their job to someone with more potential.

Not to defend Stroll but the only inputs to this video are what’s shown on TV. Which is like 0.01% of the guys time in a day. I’d rather see inputs from crews, drivers, etc. That may never happen but it’d be more worthy info than a series of well-worn snippets.

bruh honestly, He is decent and is actually very quick on his day. His consistency is a problem. He has been great recently.
No one really cares if he’s decent, he didn’t earn his spot and shouldn’t be there. There’s a driver out there 100x more talented and hard working who doesn’t have a seat because of this rich kid. And tbh I could say this about some of the other drivers. That’s why I’ll genuinely root harder for someone like Ocon than someone like Lando. But at least Lando has the decency to be good, Stroll does not 😂
