Say what you want about Verstappen but when the cards are down his team can rely on him to perform. McLaren were clearly hesitant to prioritise Norris because he wasn't performing on race day, then when he finally got their backing he messed it up again and proved all the doubters right.

Next year when we start fresh 0 points it will be Norris playing 2nd supporting his team mate letting him passed ,it takes one year for a new driver to settle in and gel with his mechanics and has already shown he is more of a complete driver than Lando , in Mclaren its equal opportunity for both drivers unless one has a large point lead and next year he won't have #1 status like he has had this year

Max said other drivers had the skill to be champion in Lewis' car, but he also defended Lewis when a journo asked if it's just the car, saying that you still had have the skill to consistently deliver to become champion. Also, when he got a race winning car he backed up his statements, unlike Lando.
