  • First ride on Wolfe Island Ontario with my new Cycliq Fly 6 Pro that just shipped in the day prior.
Great (and free!) 20 minute ferry ride over departing from Kingston travelling on the Wolfe Islander IV.
Footage is mostly unedited to provide a short sample of the Cycliq image stabilization and video quality recorded in 1440p.
Plan to put out a Fly 6 Pro review video once I record a few more rides testing the various settings and image quality variations.
Overall I’m pretty impressed. Let me know what you think of the Fly 6 Pro and if there’s any features you’d like to see tested.
I plan to release a Wolfe Island ride video as well.

It was a crisp 2 degrees celsius, and with the sun it felt awesome!

How do you get vids down?

Transferred from the Fly6 Pro using the CycliqPlus App on iPhone. When the App is opened it first connects via Bluetooth and once you go to video downloads it seamlessly creates a direct private wifi connection between the phone and Fly6. Transfer rate is about 2 minutes for a 4K 5 minute video. Pretty slick.

@@SanManCycling Hmmm, for practical purposes, that still means you have to use a card reader. It's a nice feature for downloading videos on the fly from the camera, though. Not quite sure what to make of the video quality, compared to my Fly6 Gen3, although that comparison is hardly fair due to how much data was lost during your downscale to 1080p and UA-cam twiddling around with its compression...

I rarely use the card reader as I transfer over wifi to the CycliqPlus app on my phone. It works great.
As for video quality I suspect there is marginal improvement between your Gen 3 and the Pro @1080p. I’m coming from a Gen 1 Fly 6 so for me naturally it’s night and day.
On the Pro the quality at 4K along with image stabilization thus far has been excellent. Check out this unedited clip from a ride this past weekend.

Make sure to change your UA-cam settings to the highest resolution.

@@SanManCycling Oh, if I got the Fly6 Pro, I would of course use it at higher resolutions. Your other video shows a clear improvement in quality over the Fly6 Gen3, even with UA-cam's compression, so it definitely has that point going for it (and I'm not just talking about resolution, your video shows quite difficult conditions for any camera and the Fly6 Pro does deliver great performance there - the constant bright dark chances from the relatively low-standing sun constantly disappearing behind trees is the most difficult situation a camera can encounter).
As for the wireless video transfer, it simply takes too much time IMO. It's just quicker to pop the card out and into my computer, than wait for a single file to transfer over Wifi. But like I said, it saves you the hassle of having to carry a card reader for when you need to get videos off the camera on the go. Now they just need to update the Fly12 to have similar features. :D
