Cycling Wolfe Island - Full Ride Video from Marysville to Port Metcalf and back to the Ferry
Переглядів 622 місяці тому
I thought I’d share the full ride video and a portion of the ferry ride. Departing Kingston on the Wolfe Islander IV at 7:00 am and arriving at Wolfe Island at 7:20 am. From the ferry landing it’s a short ride to Marysville. From there it’s about 27 kilometres to Port Metcalf along County Road 96. The video illustrates how smooth the road is from the ferry to Marysville. However pretty rough on...
Cycliq Fly 6 Pro - With Strava Overlay!
Переглядів 3943 місяці тому
Short video review illustrating the Cycliq Fly 6 Pro setup in 4K 30 frames per second with electronic image stabilization. Brief hill segment included comparing the IPhone 15 Pro Action Mode 1080p 30 fps with the Cycliq Fly 6 Pro. Used CycliqPlus to generate some amazing Strava overlay visuals. Incredibly easy to use. Really good video quality and sound. Thus far a great rear bike camera light ...
Cycliq Fly 6 Pro First Ride on Wolfe Island
Переглядів 3293 місяці тому
First ride on Wolfe Island Ontario with my new Cycliq Fly 6 Pro that just shipped in the day prior. Great (and free!) 20 minute ferry ride over departing from Kingston travelling on the Wolfe Islander IV. Footage is mostly unedited to provide a short sample of the Cycliq image stabilization and video quality recorded in 1440p. Plan to put out a Fly 6 Pro review video once I record a few more ri...
Glenorchy Climb - Testing iPhone 15 Pro Action Mode

Filmed with an iPhone 15 Pro using Action Mode. Edited with Garmin Virb to add speed, cadence, power, elevation, grade.
What's the real world battery life if you don't mind me asking? even if it's a partial like 3hrs to get to 50% etc. cheers
Based on my Tuesday 2h 15m afternoon ride of which the Fly6 Pro was at full charge when I started recording, I calculated with used and remaining battery percentage the total operating time would be in 6h 51m range. +/- 1 % this is in line with the Cycliq advertised rate. Will be interesting to see how it performs in cold conditions and how the battery holds up over time. Here is a breakdown of conditions and settings: Outdoor recorded ride temp: 29c Fly 6 Pro: Light: Pulse Low Video: 4K 30fps H.264 EIS: On Sound recording: On / Medium Hope you find this useful.
@@SanManCycling Very much Sanman thank you!! 6hrs is decent given any longer and I probably need to take breaks so I'll be able to charge it up again. Really appreciate the vid and reply. Many thanks and safe cycling!!
I gotta ask how do you get the strava data overlay on the video?
Using the CycliqPlus Desktop App for Mac. Authorize it to link to your Strava account. Then whenever you import your Cycliq ride footage it automatically imports and overlays the Strava data synchronizing based on timestamps. You have the option to add/remove Strava data and choose between different data metrics - power, speed, cadence, gradient, heart rate etc - based on how you want the final video to look.
@@SanManCycling top man thanks. I had no idea you could do that.
Cmon man, why you posting in 1080p if your phone and camera can record in 4k. You did so well with the footage but screwed up the video processing and upload.
Thanks for the feedback! If you’re looking for 4K footage check out this ride: ua-cam.com/video/k4JshWZKYv8/v-deo.htmlsi=PNmHjeuLWlagPZM4 If you’re looking for 4K with Strava overlay you’ll have to wait. The CycliqPlus Desktop App v3.00 on Mac is failing to export in 4K. Tried every setting. If anyone else is experiencing this let me know. I have reported the issue to Cycliq. I also plan to test using my Windows PC.
@@SanManCycling My apologies, it’s still a great review! Maybe I was not paying attention, but I didn’t hear you explain this in the video. Hopefully it gets fixed in the future as I am keen on buying one! I will hold off for now until it gets fixed though!
Would be interesting to see how HDR could improve on those shadow/direct sun/shadow sequences. Not to mention how well the camera does at night with HDR on. Thanks for the upload!
Beautiful roads!
Omg
How do you get vids down?
Transferred from the Fly6 Pro using the CycliqPlus App on iPhone. When the App is opened it first connects via Bluetooth and once you go to video downloads it seamlessly creates a direct private wifi connection between the phone and Fly6. Transfer rate is about 2 minutes for a 4K 5 minute video. Pretty slick.
@@SanManCycling Hmmm, for practical purposes, that still means you have to use a card reader. It's a nice feature for downloading videos on the fly from the camera, though. Not quite sure what to make of the video quality, compared to my Fly6 Gen3, although that comparison is hardly fair due to how much data was lost during your downscale to 1080p and UA-cam twiddling around with its compression...
I rarely use the card reader as I transfer over wifi to the CycliqPlus app on my phone. It works great. As for video quality I suspect there is marginal improvement between your Gen 3 and the Pro @1080p. I’m coming from a Gen 1 Fly 6 so for me naturally it’s night and day. On the Pro the quality at 4K along with image stabilization thus far has been excellent. Check out this unedited clip from a ride this past weekend. ua-cam.com/video/k4JshWZKYv8/v-deo.htmlsi=NAhexfMtRTPsGuVD Make sure to change your UA-cam settings to the highest resolution.
@@SanManCycling Oh, if I got the Fly6 Pro, I would of course use it at higher resolutions. Your other video shows a clear improvement in quality over the Fly6 Gen3, even with UA-cam's compression, so it definitely has that point going for it (and I'm not just talking about resolution, your video shows quite difficult conditions for any camera and the Fly6 Pro does deliver great performance there - the constant bright dark chances from the relatively low-standing sun constantly disappearing behind trees is the most difficult situation a camera can encounter). As for the wireless video transfer, it simply takes too much time IMO. It's just quicker to pop the card out and into my computer, than wait for a single file to transfer over Wifi. But like I said, it saves you the hassle of having to carry a card reader for when you need to get videos off the camera on the go. Now they just need to update the Fly12 to have similar features. :D
Love the intro! Great vid
Love Star Wars !!!
@zwift
So cool!!!
Might need to get one for myself !!🚴🏻♂️
Great to know!!!!!
Loving the new vid!
love this gotta be my favourite so far!
love it need more!!
I just received my Fly6 Pro yesterday, and I'm having trouble connecting to Strava. Strava is not listed on the CycliqPlus mobile app menu, and the Cycliq Strava user guide has this notification - "Strava metrics overlay has been temporarily removed from the CycliqPlus mobile App. It will be reintroduced with better support for bike computer users". How were you able to do this?

Beautiful scenery, hope it wasn't too cold!
It was a crisp 2 degrees celsius, and with the sun it felt awesome!
