I drove a F-450 as a delivery truck for years...when I changed jobs the truck had 689,000 miles ya'll should have this beast for a couple of decades.

@@sabastian151 and it still ran like a monster, fully loaded (11,000 GVW) it would run 72-75 all day lomg...a and we drove 'em like we stole them!
Fantastic series! How many young men your age or even older would even dare to take on a project like this...that's what amazes me about this. Most wouldn't have the backbone to take on a project like this. Beautifully restored! Congratulations!!
I'm wondering how many more times they're going to dissemble and reassemble the front of the truck.
Or are they tired of putting on and taking off parts on any of their rebuilds?
Gotta stretch out their builds. That’s why we get wax and wash montages every other day. Ughhhh!
@@jonsmith6496 probably spend tons on wax and buffing pads i know they are not exactly cheap

@@Tim_3100 buffing pads are not cheap. Pads are 25-30 bucks a piece, compound $130/gallon, polish $140/gallon, ultrafine polish 130/gallon. I stand and buff every car that comes thru our shop. I do between 10 to 15 cars a day depending on what was painted, sometimes more.

There's an episode of Pimp My Ride, where they put a panoramic sunroof on a Blazer, and Xzibit says, "That's not a sunroof. This is a solar system roof." This reminded of that, lol.
The front rims that got scuffed when loading it can be repaired the same as paint. Sand the grooves out and work your way up to 3000 grit and then buff them
Nice job but put some Auto Magic bc2 on it and it will shine like a piece of glass I use it all the time

It never ceases to amaze me, how many times these guys will tear something down and put it back together, just to make sure they do a job right. It's inspiring when D.I.Y'ing. The extra effort is worth it in the end, you get faster every time, and you learn more about your project for any future work.
Best project so far! One of my favorite UA-cam channels! Keep up the good content. Been watching since the Mustang when you were working on the concrete slab outside. Looking forward to the shop build.
never heard of you guys before clicking on your first episode with this truck. For two young guys, you have amazing energy, work ethic, and such a positive attitude especially when things always didn't go as planned. its great to see these qualities in you 2 young men when a lot of the youth out there wont even come close to the goals you have set forth. Hobodeluxe960 no my buddy has one and he was flying at 50 straight up wasn’t paying attention and came up to a dead stop and the truck literally forced itself to stop befor it hit the car in front of him, someone had to hit the driver that got this thing

@@Hobodeluxe960 Imposible to calculate the number of work hours they have in it. Who else in their right mind would disassemble and assemble this many times and put this many hours into a project?
This is my favorite build so far... I guess it's because of the size and knowing ya'll said it would be a work truck to haul future builds.. It's a black nugget for sure! Best of luck.

i may be a 15 y/o girl who does not know a lot about cars but this is definitely my favorite channel. y’all have the BEST energy and are so good at making things make sense.

I actually like the chrome on the PLATINUMs... I generally prefer the blacked out theme on a lot of trucks, but Platinums are a luxury /premium model that pulls off the chrome just fine IMO 👍

Ya there is already ALOT of black on that truck as it is, leaving the chrome and polished aluminum makes it what it is- PLATINUM!

You can wash, just not wax for a couple weeks.
Jonny KingBlood Reese it’s ok to wash fresh paint but it’s NOT ok to wash it with a fricken pressure washer!!
Been painting 40 years and that’s one of the biggest taboo’s you can do. The paint is still to green (soft) and you may not blow it off the first couple times but you do loosen the bond between clear/base and base/primer and will cause premature paint failure at some point
Not fresh truck though I’m sure it’s got a few sun hours.

I’m 43 and don’t know half of what you guys k no ow about vehicles. I’m impressed. I have a son going to Texas A&M and me and him are doing more and more work like this. I can do a lot of basics but not real good and body work and especially painting. My painting always turns out bad! I build houses for a living.
That truck is proof of how good you guys really are. Making all the right moves all the time, even got a companion dog for your older dog.
Finally the dog gets some attention. How do yout get any work done without stopping every five minutes to pet the German shepherds and your cat?

Nice truck! Great work! DO NOT delete the chrome! The murdered out black has already run its course! All black and Bell Bottom pants were a repeat. (next you will be playing New Kids music in the back ground) Model T's when all you could get was black and the 1960s for Bell Bottoms. I've some of both...LOL!

11:30 all the water spots are back on the fender for a second episode appearance.
I'm thinking they didnt sand/buff/polish that area as it will be under the fender flare.
