I'll one one better..I'd be so respectful knowing know what the heck can be in those creeks...I wouldn't be caught dead close to the shoreline 😳🤦♂️ haha just kidding but this is some gnarly stuff here.
When you were crossing the creek, I was thinking, Tyler, have you ever seen the huge snapping turtles that you catch in the creeks and rivers where you fish? 😳
@@TheDetroitman20 I live on the Gulf of Mexico, in the Mississippi Delta. I grew up in Florida which probably has the best saltwater sports fishing. It's not too bad here at all. Lots of big fish. You would love fishing here. I don't know anything about Wisconsin. You'll have to take a vacation one day.
@@SurfingWithAliens That sounds awesome. I have a fear of big bodies of water though. I could fish from a pier or shore though. I've seen some big fish caught from there.

That was the coolest, calmest snapper ive ever seen!! Like you two are old fishin buddies and have been fishing together her more than a few times together lmao!! Every single one ive ever caught (no intentionally of course) wants to do a circle and snap dance with me to grab the from behind to pull the hook.
Road to 500k 💪 Let's goooooooo! Awesome video as always 😊 I caught my very first channel cat last summer. It was almost 8lbs....caught it on a crappie minnow. 😂 he put up a pretty good fight.
It must be scary wading in a creek where you could potentially trip over one of those massive snapping turtles. Hard to believe there are so many big catfish in such a small little creek. Great video as usual!
Got my first kitty of the year today, just weighed about 13-14 lbs less than the teener you landed😂😂I need that new PB this year! Videos are always rad man🔥
Fishing, these days... I would have flipped catching a fifteen lb catfish when I was fishing in my younger days. But we didn't have UA-cam. I remember learning to put whole baitfish on huge hooks for lingcod and rockcod in the ocean. The bigger the bait, the bigger the fish!
Love the snapping turtIes, we don't have alligator snappers, just commons but they get pretty big too. Feisty attitudes from some of them 😂 but I respect aII of God's critters & try to keep them from getting hit on the roads when the femaIes are Iooking for a pIace to Iay eggs. ❤🐢 Great video as aIways !
You guys are truly blessed. her we live we have to pay almost a $100 a day to catch fish like that . Thanks for sharing your fishing. Keep well and tight line.
I was fishing on a pond in the 1980s and caught a cat fish that was in the 20 lb. range and he had about 50 fish hooks in his mouth with broken line on many. I put him on a stringer and took about 7-8 hooks out at a time, placed him back in the water on the stringer for a few minutes at a time and continued the process until he was hook free. I can't confirm but I think he waved at me when I released him. It made me feel good too.
Not getting on your case with that big one you lost but your trying to horse that big catfish in like a bass or peacock. When you pull that hard and they spin, thats all it takes to rip that soft lip. Play the big ones down. Never force a big cat to the surface. If it's a blue he will come up on his own, if it's a flat he's gonna dig. I know the challenges of being on the bank in a creek with challenges everywhere. Tight lines brother
That happened to me once using chicken gizzards. It was easily 40-50lbs and I was going for catfish. Luckily I was using a large med-heavy rod with 25lb test line. It nearly bit me also, decided to just cut the line.
My PB kitty is 25 or 30lbs(didn't have a scale) flathead and caught on a Zoom Ol' Monster worm lol. When I try to catch catfish I don't get a bite since I have no idea where they are at the lake. We have huge blues and flatheads here, would love to catch one someday
I have a request for your Sir. I WANT TO SEE YOU DO AN EPISODE ON NOODLING FOR A BIG CATFISH!! That would be cool. I haven't watch all of your episodes but don't remember you doing one. I realize it's not sporting catching a fish by hand but just a suggestion. You might get a million hits.

Dude you caught an ankle-biter-asaurus! W00! Funny tho… I get that they’re locally plentiful but overall endangered… but man you catch a bunch of them!
@TyPigPatrol I was a kid. Knew no different. Native ancestry. Fearless then. Not now. I'd be fishing in the big creeks. Lots of monster snappers. Father brought one home that barely fit in the trunk of a 1976 Monte Carlo around 1980. Wish they had let him be. They ate em. I do not.
I was fishing on the polecat and a guy come walking by me with a basket full of turtles. There was a flooded pool back behind me from the creek and he said he traps them turtles and sells them on the internet. I think he said most of his foster Mets was in Michigan I think. He said he got his trapping permit from the state for 25 bucks a year and then got license to sell them. He ships overnight on dry ice and after they pay for shipping he charged 5 bucks a pound and this was 15 years ago. Whole turtle x 5 bucks plus shipping
Try using a bridle rig to attach your circle hook. The hook won't spin back into the bait and you'll increase your hook up ratio by a ton. It's usually used for live bait but it works in chunks as well. It leaves the entire hook exposed to turn and do it's thing.
Your consistent encounters with genuine biggins involving numerous species is quite rare. Great work Ty...
Reminds us all of our youth I think

I fish to eat to hell with throwing the eating size back.
Subscribed because of how he treats the fish like they are delicate gently putting them back in the water
Thank you very much!!!
