- NEW CFA STORE creekfishingadventures.store/ I was surprised to see what I saw in this tiny creek that flows in between all the roads and buildings of the town. Can a coosa Redeye bass really live in this environment?

Man gets just as excited to fish a ditch by the auto shop as he does fishing big lakes. He’s just happy. Love it.
Jesus is the reason, I bet.
So am i, love every fish i catch
@@outdoorsforachange no, being humble is the reason
That's fishing
Nothing better than fishing, while your car gets repaired. Most places just give you stale coffee and dollar store cookies.
I like these little creek and unusual waters videos. They provide an answer to a question man has asked himself for thousands of years, "I wonder if there's any fish in there"?👍👍
We used to fish creeks like that all the time when we were kids. Back when we still had an imagination we could wade through a culvert that ran back behind a busy shopping center and, in our minds, it may as well have been the Amazon River. It seemed like every corner of world was teaming with life. Those creeks were full of frogs, snakes, crawdads, minnows, and bluegill. I remember catching a catfish in a little drainage ditch once. It seemed huge back then. Fun video. I might throw my rod in my work van today.
No matter how old, how many or how big or small, catching a fish never gets old!!!
❤❤❤
You make these adventures so fun by getting excited over the smallest fish, which is a great find, now you have another place you can get a guaranteed bite at least in the spring! Thanks John 🎣👍
This guy reminds me of when we were kids, exploring all over town with fishing poles strapped to our bikes. Love it.
@@MiltonRoe I don’t know if you know
We should be feeding these areas like we feed birds.
Ong
Good idea! I like to pull trash out of the water, but feeding fish never really occurred to me.
we should feed birds to the fish
FRRRRR. PLEASE I DO THIS ALL RHE TIME,!!
I've caught multiple 2, 3, and 4 pound largies out of small concrete urban creeks like this. Theres always something fun and unique about catching fish out of these environments. They can survive what sometimes seems like such negative living conditions. This was a fun video. Keep it up man.
Great video. I love the small creek fishing. It never ceases to amaze me the number and variety of fish in these small streams.
Best kind of fishing there is...small streams, cement creeks, etc. Thanks for taking us with you.
You just never know when a good Creek Fishing Adventures is going to pop up. Hey why not try by the mechanic's shop. I got almost as excited as you did brother. Such a blessing John
you have so much fun in those little bodies of water. reminds me of my early childhood fishing in a 3 foot wide crick and catching trout on worms on a maple stick with a little fishing line and a hook...more power to ya
Truly wild native brook trout in Freestone creeks in Salem Connecticut some over 12"....like you I caught them using a branch and piece of discarded monofilament line and random found hook (or piece of tie wire shaped)....creeks are still on Google maps.....
Ive never seen anyone so excited about catching fish no matter what size like this guy. Well one thing ive learn from Him is just enjoy fishing even if they are small fish. I always got upset if i didnt catch bigger fish but now i just look forward fishing for any size now.
John is such a pleasure to watch. Just loves to fish and it shines through
Awesome video John. The little creeks can be gems. Those old ponds could have some nice treasures. God bless you and your whole family...🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
Watching creek fishing to pump me up right before I go creek fishing!!
CONGRATULATIONS you are a very successful fisherman, your fishing equipment is fantastic.👍🎣🥰
I loved the video.
Hug!!!
Love this one! Unfished territory right infront of everyone. I also Never worry what people think while we enjoy what we do! Great job
Classic John fishing....didn't realize how much you I'd missed watching him fishing these little creeks.
Really inspiring me to see what I can dig out of the small waters!
You be catching fish in the cuts! 😀 So many anglers would never thought fishing in those spots. Good stuff.
I've been fishing forever and I have never heard of a redeye bass. I love learning about new stuff like this. wish we had them in south MS!
Awesome video. One things for certain. Always keep at least one rod and reel in your vehicle.😄👍
I outfished my dad all the time being excited by small lil fish. I still get excited seeing the small ones swimming and just dippin’ the hook in!
He is living my MMO experience's in real life.
I normally play games that have fishing mechanics in them and finding random ponds people over look is so much fun.
homie over here living the dream and happy as can be.
fishing is amazing.
Those little local creeks and ponds can be so much fun.
Those are some beautiful fish! Love the city fishing
I enjoy that you enjoy fishing so much. Not everyone gets it. I have caught goggle eye or rock bass in inches of water. Instead of casting jig near rocks and concrete you never know what's hiding under there. Love your show. I fish streams in Missouri.
Yep, these guys wash into these ditches from city pond washouts. I've seen it tons of times! It's always fun what you'll find. What's sad is that when it dries up, they all die out.
I just love it John have fun!
I tore my Achilles and I cant go out to go fishing yet, but man, you got me so excited to go fishing. I'll be out there soon, Great video, keep it up! Keep fishing 🎣😅
The wall holding the pond back, next to the creek, is amazing. How did the old timers make it so strong? Interesting adventure. Thanks.
I always think it cool to see you fishing in spots that most people would not give a second thought about. Keep up the good work.
Small water fishing can be so much fun! Thanks for the video!
When I start my channel yours will be the first I shout out for the inspiration to do what you love and spreading your faith. Consistency. Thanks John
I appreciate it
It's like Stardew Valley in real life. Great stuff.
Awesome! Love the little creek. Glad I stumbled on your channel. Thank you.
Finally!! This is the type of content I've been looking for.
I'm watching 👀 the whole video. 99% of the time I do. I didn't know it had an impact on the analytics. I enjoy your videos. Congratulations on the 1M views. Wish you much more success in the future 🙏
Awesome! Ive fished a few creeks in the middle of Austin TX. Shoal Creek in central Austin will be dry for several days and then after a good rain there are lots of sunfish, small bass, and even some rio grande cichlids
That’s some quality urban fishing right there, you gotta explore that creek further….😮
Your videos always reminds me when I was a kid fishing in every small or large body of water I can see.
Your videos inspired me to get out and fish. This urban fishing can be lots of fun. Thank you brother, keep the content coming. #Creekchubconisuer
It was a fun video to watch.. Thank you for sharing.. all the way from Albert Lea, Minnesota. Land of 10,000 lakes.
Watching you from klamath Falls Oregon thanks for taking me along for the adventure
My favorite kind of fishing! A micro-light rod and 2lb test, a Mule Minnow on a 1/60th Oz jig head. Pure fun!
Was that a mule craw he was using
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time lol the miracle how life can thrive in the weirdest places🎉🎉
Ditch near me in UK is full of Roach and Rudd, rare for UK now. We have so little wildlife left. Just if you know where to look, there's always fish !
This Is my fav kinda fishing right here! Love it!
Great video small creek some nice fish it is so much fun just to catch some you make it interesting and you give tips to us that not so good at bass fishing and trying out the tip you have given me thank you john
Great video! I'm now convinced that you could catch fish in a mud puddle.
I think he did that once
That’s pretty awesome. Now you know if your at the shop you can kick around a little. So cool.
...cool vid.. I used to drive around denver hunting for little spots.. creeks and ditches full of water are everywhere.. and bass. yep. BASS. really big one once in the LEAST likely spot... it was really exciting and fun to hunt and get hits... awesome vid, bro.
Have couple creeks like that in my town, now I have faith to fish them!
Thanks man!
Got to try them out
This is the video that put me on your channel and made me start creek fishing
Get down there and cast underneath the bridge back in those shadows there’s probably fish just laying underneath those bridges man. 🤙🏼 Have fun ! Like your videos.
And that's pretty awesome that a train went by as well
This kind of fishing is what you do best . Great video
I was there in November visiting family. When you said the locals will know where this building is. I show my son and he said I know where that is. Lol. 😊
I love these little in town creeks
Looks like a very old town you live in.Pretty cool place to fish. Thanks 🙏
Enjoyed as always John, that last bluegill you caught we will have to call him sir🐟🎣🐟🎣
I always enjoy your off the cuff, middle of town videos. I have come to expect that you can and will find fish ANYWHERE. LOL ! Ask Chris about "Oh, this fish has been caught before". One of his latest vids was at that Old Mill. You thought you heard a snake in the grass, well it's that time of the year. Please be careful ! Randy B.
I love the location, definitely urban paradise.
Love your videos buddy. Every upload makes me smile. Thanks friend 🤘
That was a real adventure..thanks
Thats a cool little place you found there John. I just ordered some stuff from Ethan and got me some of those Burrow Bugs. They are gonna catch alot of creek fish when I start wading. 👊👍
outstanding content , waterway and area . this video is similar to urban fishing videos in the UK . Those Bluegills have been living there for years unmolested .i hope you went back after the biggun Bluegill . Thanks
I always find fish in the strangest of places. I love urban micro fishing.
That was AWESOME!!!
We have an old mill building like the one your were fishing they changed it into apartments which I was glad to see because of historical significance. You find or they find you some of the dangest places
Fishing in town's always fun, I used to fish in DC a lot and there's a creek that runs right through the middle of town-very nice to be able to stop at a Nice Coffeeshop for some fancy popcorn and a beer on the way to fish (or to dry out from getting caught in a t-storm while fishing the Tidal Basin at a fancy little bar)
this is the type areas i fished as a kid in miami. we caught plenty fish.
These are the best type of videos. See some water, stop and fish.
I had never heard of coosa bass. I looked it up. The other name is red eye bass. I had heard of red eye bass, but since I don’t live in their range, I had never seen one. Trivia: they interbreed with smallmouth and create hybrids.
Like a Rock Bass?
@@christopherschley2646 I didn’t know until I looked it up that both are the same. We do have rock bass, and I have caught them, but it was 25 years ago.
Love the videos brother. Need to fish that creek more for the videos looks like fun 🔥
Surprise John, made another great video. Thanks for sharing
My dad kept a propiel picket fisherman in the yrunk of his car.ive probably eaten 500 fish he caught while driving home from work. Love your videos
As wore down as the old building's are the grounds are kept clean. Someone takes care of the property. Didn't see any other's or trash laying around. Looks like a cool place to explore and fish.
Just found your channel and subbed you. Really like this. Impressive fish for such a small little creek in an odd spot! Thanks!
Even in a few inches of water, life finds a way. Thats the beauty of nature.
Great video. Always enjoy a good urban fishing video.
Great video!!! I just got a couple of packs of the Burro Bugs, hoping to try them out this weekend!!!
Heck yeah that's an awesome way to spend in town lol.
That looked like it was once a really nice building complex with a nice pond / ice skating ring 50-75 years ago in its golden age. Too bad the wrong element had to destroy it. Glad to see the pond is still operating
Catching a fish in any spot is always exciting !
That’s crazy. Lol. Nice vid John
wonderfulll ...reminds me the creek near my neighbour where we just as kids goes for fish guppies for the aquarium
When I lived in San Antonio TX I would go creek fishing all over the town there's a mall called west lakes mall and there ponds with some big ol large mouth bass I caught one that was 24 inches long I couldn't weigh it at the time but remember it was huge big ol bass and those ponds you could see them water was very clear just throw your jig in there face and they would take the bait thanks fir sharing bsafe buddy 👍
I'm not gonna lie. I'm 35 in alot debt ,got a drinkin problem and don't know what to do with life. But man, you let me see or play near a creek and all that goes away. I'm 9 years old again with no worries and not even thinking about thinking. Thank you for the memories brother. ❤
i become a kid every time i fish a small creek, I cant help it and hope it always remains this fun
My home town. You wasn't far from our court house. And that pond was our old wood mill. Lots of creeks and streams around.
Some of the best times I had were catching shiners or chubs in the manner you were doing. They could really tear up a plastic lure. After we caught a couple dozen, we headed over to the lake and fished for pike or smallies.
John you should explore that abandoned cast away building next to the pond. See where the water goes into it. Would LOVE to see whats inside.
Good video!
It's always cool to find life in the most unexpected areas
Had to look up Coosa bass. Pretty neat!
Based on the books by Ed Zern, that water is a crick. Love that you have the moxy to grab a rod and fish such.
John, not to rub it in, but it's comforting to see that even you stick one in a tree now and then. Keep up the great work!
Fishing....sigh....happy place. Great video. Thanks
Great video man, we love the coosa bass
I fished a small creek in the middle of town as a kid and caught 3 plus pound bass. The bite is crazy as well because there is no pressure on them.
You do all the dorky stuff I did for 20 odd years ago in Virginia and Pennsilvania in the 2,000's in these noware water holes, and I have caught some monster smallmouth, surprising trout, and speckled, Huge brown trout, a chain Pickeral (that knocked my socks off way up in New Hampshire) When worse come's to worse, I will not tire from only hooking up a bluegill. Robert at 68.
