I heavily rely on structure and routines to make sure I keep it all straight - and I don't miss anything!
In this video, I go over my routines with new patients, annual physicals, follow-up visits and sick visits, so you can stay on track and make sure you've got all the info you need.

I have been an NP since 2015 but have been doing Home Health Assessments since that time and not really utilizing diagnosing and prescribing skills. I would like to move into primary care but I feel like I am almost a new NP given my work history... These videos are so so helpful! Thank you!

Would love to see ‘how to decide when to see a patient back for follow up’. I know it’s so different for every patient but if there is a general you or your clinic use. Also just in light of this year may be interesting to add in following up via telemedicine for the things that this would be appropriate for.

Hi Liz, thank you for doing this video! Your videos are super helpful. Regarding annual visits do you go through each of the patient’s problems and complete hpi or do you stick to med rec, screenings, any new problems etc.? I struggle with not staying within allotted time frame when doing annual visits for patients with multiple problems.

Is it typical for new patient visits to be a separate visit from the physical exam?
@@claytonrogers9290 It really depends on your clinic policy, I see that trend a lot and I'm not sure if the rationale is because of billing purposes for the clinic or managing overwhelm for the providers, think a combination of both!
