- In this Part 2 video I'll be wood carving the gill and fin detail for the Rainbow Trout. My 4th ever fish carving was a rainbow trout about two years ago so this is the second rainbow Ive attempted. It will have mistakes I'm sure, but it will be far better than the first one.
I'm actually doing this one in an online course taught by world renown master wood carver Josh Guge. Josh has won multiple world titles and best in show with both fish and birds. I met Josh in 2022 at the World Taxidermy and Fish Carving Championship where he was one of the Judges and also taught a seminar on habitat bases for fish carvings.

I use a Foredom SR for medium to heavier wood removal and I use a Marathon High Speed Rotary Tool for detail.
