hi danny! can you imagine to carve a yellowbass or walleye or pike? these are my favorite fishes. i dont know wheter they as popular as here in europe🤷🏼♂️ anyways.. even if not. always good videos, hope youre fine. greetings marvin🍻
Hi Marvin, I’m doing good thanks for asking. I’ve already carved a walleye a while back and I have a video series on it here. It was pretty much a practice run but I plan on doing another at some point. I’m not sure what you are referring to for yellow bass. The yellow bass we have here in the states are small only growing less than a pound (.4kg ) and are considered trash fish. So I don’t think many people would be interested in a carving of one. If I carve a pike it will be further down the road. There’s still a lot of popular local fish that I have on my “to do list” first and in the south here pike are not as popular as they are in the northern states.
yes, i readed that the yellowbass or perch in northamerica average less bigger is then in europe. that should be the reason why he is less popular than in europe. here its a popular fish to catch and also to eat. anyways, you already said it: would be a bad project for americans. I will take a closer look to the walleye video and I am looking forward to see a pike made by you sometime.
Yes I sell them. Right now it’s just word of mouth and people contacting me directly. I also take commissions. The largemouth on this project is a commissioned piece and the spotted bass will be for sale. I have 4 more finished pieces that will be for sale this coming May. Right now They are in a gallery exhibit at the Arkansas State Capitol and will be in a museum exhibit from January to May. You can see them on my FB carving page at “Wild Impressions Wood Carving by Danny Harris” if you’d like to follow me there. I post a lot of project progress photos as well finished pieces. Eventually I’ll do another website or Etsy page. If you’re interested you can email me at dannyharrisarts@gmail.com

I don’t see why i couldn’t. I don’t know what it would cost but depending on what you wanted I’m sure I could find out
Do you sell these fish you create? And if you do where? Your fish are amazing.

@@Danny_Harris-Arts sorry I meant the blocks of tupelo wood.
@@travishanson2884 woodcarversupply.com was the last place I bought it. But their sight is closed I think until after the 15th this month
