Do you mean the engine oil or the hydraulic clutch? If you mean engine oil then it would pay to drain especially if contaminated with magnet. But you can access the stator if you rest the bike leaning to the right hand side If you mean clutch fluid. No you don't have to drain it but would recommend pushing piston back slightly so it doesn't fall out and makes reinstalling a little easier.
