Variegated snake plants are not propergated through leaf cutting as the variegation reverts. You are only able to do this through root division to guarantee 100% stable variegation.
YAY i’m so excited to see a snake plant video, people always write these plants off as needing zero care but they can flourish and be so happy when you do care for them 🥺 keep it up!!!
Great video! Love your lip color! My snake plant has been LOVING Liquidirt! It has been putting out new growth like CRAZY after having none for so long! So rewarding when our plants start to put out new growth just for us!
I never waite for my propogations to root. I leave them in water for a few weeks and then put them directly in soil. I have 100 percent success rate that way. I used to waite for them to root in water and would loose like 50 percent of them to rot. Just be very careful on the watering once in soil.
I’ve had my snake plant for literally 24 hours - I checked out of the garden center about this time yesterday with a snake plant, a maranta, and some pebbles
Great info! I found my snake plant cuttings rooted much faster in Leca with a lot of light. I could not believe how many roots there were in just 6 weeks. I cut them in Nov 2020 and now the plant is in soil with three pups poking up!
OMG I was just looking at my snake plant feeling like it could be better. there's wrinkles and the stems are so easily bendable! I knew something was off because every time I encounter a snake plant at the store it's really tough and not bendable. I wonder if my roots are dry too. I'm going to definitely take a look today and not lose hope in him :) Thank you for this! Love your content, you have a great little quirky personality and I love it! :)
I love my snake plants and have actually propagated them by making roots. I would put yours in soil now - I haven’t had a problem with them going in soil with roots the size of yours. Thank you for sharing! 💜
@@xanderpander9751 I know what you mean, I have a calathea and OMG it is much more demanding than my family put together hahahaha. I love her though also I wanted to get another one but I will wait for winter and see how she does then, before committing to get another needy family member hahahaha.
I love snake plants and I love this video! Sooo much helpful info thank you! I recently discovered while repotting my snake plant that it has 2 new babies and they have been shooting up! I'm so proud :')
Loving your videos! I just starting collecting plants and your videos are very helpful! I’m learning as I go and your videos are so informative and I like your layout! You’re right to the point on the topics
I've never had success with rooting snake plants in water. They've always rotted even if I let them callous over. I personally like to just stick the leaf cutting directly into soil and in a few weeks, there's roots and about a month later, pups start coming out.
I recently discovered your amazing channel and I've just been binge watching all of your videos! 🌱💗 In fact, I just bought a snake plant yesterday so the timing of finding this video is amazing 😁 Could you please do a Banana plant (Musa) video as well, I had a beautiful one that got like 4 little babies. Only, after I took them out and repotted them the mother plant turned brown and died really so quickly. There did grow some new babies that seem to be doing fine but I'm afraid they won't survive if I leave them all in the same pot.. I'd love to hear some tips on watering, light, humidity and repotting/propagating because I feel like I'm doing everything wrong 😅
Beautiful video.First time watching.I have 4 snake plants, fiddle bamboo plants 3, Zz plants and lot more. The soil you use can I use it on my plants? I usually use miracle grow soil. Thank you
Thank you for this my snake plant was not growing at all. Now I know why and it’s always dehydrated. Hopefully I can bring it back to life I have 2. In the same condition. Very helpful tips
thanks for making this :D i am getting a snake plant really soon this really helped but i have one more question in the leaf cutting part for propagation dose the wound grow back, not the part that goes in water the other one, anyways bye have a good day morning or night :D
i ve read so much contradicted information about snake plants and lighting...from your experience can they tolerate direct sun or not...i just bought a golden hahnii and i introduced her into really morning direct sunlight for about an hour...sending love from corfu island in greece and thanks in advance..
How do u water your premium larger snake plants? Mine barely has soil on the sides and I feel like I can never water it throughly because how dense it is
I got several different kinds of snake plants like plants are wonderful plants I used to have all different kinds of plants launch different kinds of Stickman
Seriously, if you kill a snake plant, you should not have plants. There's a well known saying: one snake plant is one too many. Only rabbits and rats propagate faster. Word of advice, never plant snake sansevieria if not in a confined area. They are great, I mean great plants to have inside of the house. They will clean the air from toxic substances, like no other plant can do.

thanks this is an important point i didn’t include :) i’ll pin this!
Ooohhhhhh! That explains why my Sayuri propagation is just green.
That is an amazing bit of info, I did not understand why mine was variegated and some were different until now.

absolutely!! that is something i realized recently and wanted to share with y'all 💛
I was gifted my parents 15 year old snake plants. I am doing my best to multiply them as much as i can. doing well so far.
My grandma gifted my mom (and baby me) a snake plant when I was born and I somehow have kept it alive all these years!
finally someone who will actually make a video about snake plants because they are “easy”.
i am so glad there is interest! was worried people wouldn't watch because they are "easy" lol
@@GoodandPlanty Ofc! I just got a Pepperomia Rosso!

You should watch Nick Alexander’s video „Bright indirect lies“ it’s iconic and also talks about snake plants
i've watched that video it's sooo good!!

My snake plant is the same age as me that is 16 year old
I have one that was given to my Mom as a gift in 1950!!
I'm forever calling my snake plant a "spider plant" 🙈
😭 this video was hard to film
I love your room 🥰
My family has had a snake plant for more than 20y. Recently, my mom gave me one of the pots and I'll try my hardest not to kill it.
Hello from Vegas 🌝💗
loving the lip
thank you 💛
Whats a baby look like
💚💚
Not the mighty snake plant? Surely it cannot be killed? Its most dangerous weakness is overwatering..........:)
💚💚💚💚🤩
Snake plants can be killed! I'm watering my plant with so much care and now I have two pots with new growth around a dying plant..

I have killed multiple snake plants! 😂
Why act so dramatic,,,, boring
Take half a step back, and lower the camera. Where you have it now is an extremely unflattering.
Go sit down somewhere. She’s very beautiful!
I've killed 3 snake plants 😳
Me too! I have three still. I am determined to make them live.
