if you get every legendary other than missigno, couldn't you then dupe a masterball with missigno, sell missigino, use a masterball, get misiingo to get MORE master balls, and repeat to get a shit ton of masterballs, which enable you to use them to dupe any other card you want at a even faster rate than perkeo? also, why not duplicate some colorless energy for upgrading any potential pokemon you get? or duplicate hte spoon to dupe any card you use
Yes. You can do this on this seed starting at Ante 2 Big Blind screen, at least with current joker RNG. Skip tag for Perkeo, play round 2 (flush), pick up Master Ball. Perkeo copies, gives Articuno. Play boss of Ante 1. Ante 2 small blind Perkeo copies Master Ball, which gives Mew, sell Mew. Ante 2 big blind Perkeo copies Master Ball, which gives Missingno. Sell 1 Master Ball in your Poker slots, use the other which gives Mewtwo, use another for Moltres and play the round. Ante 2 make sure you have Missingno on the left to create a new copy with Mewtwo. This gives you enough Master Balls to go infinite right there.
Around the start, with the Mew and Perkeo™ interactions, were there any merits to holding just a few more masterballs before using them as to have a higher chance or Perkeo™ hitting the masterballs rather than the random consmewables by mew Edit: I know it didn't matter that much anyways since we got a Missingno to copy those masterballs, but still.
A question about game balance. If a joker is OP in endless mode, how should it be reworked? Should it be reworked at all? You mentioned that the previous version of Gengar gave negative to non negative jokers, therefore the rework. By the same logic, shouldn’t Perkeo also be nerfed? Say, give a copy of a non negative consumable?
The vanilla game was balanced around 8-Ante runs on the lowest level of difficulty. Endless was added a treat for people who wanted that, but little additional consideration was given to balance. Naturally, there are going to be winners and losers, with Idol and Hack being lackluster in 8-Ante runs but top-tier in much longer runs, with time for more advanced deck building. But part of what makes Endless compelling and worth playing, run after run, is that the Blinds will always eventually outpace you, save for some wildly narrow circumstances. The limited number of Joker slots is super important for this. Ectoplasm used to only give -1 Hand Size every time, and you used to be able to use Invisible Joker to copy Negatives. You could, starting on any seed, achieve an unbounded number of Jokers. Ectoplasm and Invisible Joker were reworked/nerfed to prevent more runs from "breaking out of bounds," wherein the boundaries are what promote replayability. Gengar basically gets the same treatment. When you have no Negatives, Gengar will give you one after 5 Rounds, at no permanent cost to you. After 5 more rounds, Gengar will give you another Negative. Altogether, this saves you the -3 Hand Size from using Ectoplasm twice. In an 8-Ante context, Gengar behaves exactly as it did before. It's not until Ante 12, when you have 3-4 Negatives already that Gengar's "diminishing returns" actually kicks in. Perkeo is, of course, game-breaking in many different ways. But Perkeo is not going to show up in very many runs. The one time you get him; you're allowed to go nuts. In contrast, Gengar is everywhere and even stronger than Perkeo. We should have more reasonable expectations about what Jokers, even "Rare" Jokers, are allowed to do.
I thought this was the stream i saw and skipped it the other day. So glad YT's autoplay had my back there. Edit: i think i stopped watching just before the soft lock

1:21:15 - Gengar: "Never Lucky"
it's a shame the energy scaling doesnt work on perkeo's ability to create more negatives
what more do you want 😭
I love these absurdly broken runs with perkeo 🤑
if your handsize is so big / decksize is too small for only unique cards to appear in each pack, what happens?
WTAF is Astrobot? I’m writing to my MP today
Doc remember that the mr mime is better than the rattata!
Dang, the link for part 2 is in the description but it's private
