So many highly talented singers in the eighties metal bands. Sebastian Bach being the best. I'm so glad I was a teen in the eighties and got to witness all these talented musicians blowing the roof of arenas with their music. Today's vocalists could learn a lot from watching these metal Gods perform. Everybody seems so monotone today lacking the range and ferocity that these guys delivered.
Hi Goochma! I both agree, and disagree with certain parts of your comment... I TOTALLY agree that being a teenager in the 80's was the best! Metal Gods... Pop Gods... New Wave... EVERYTHING was popular, and socially acceptable... HOWEVER... Sebastian being the BEST is what I disagree with... Yes, he had amazing range, both natural and falsetto. And yes again to re-iterate, the 80's had some of the "COOLEST" and most powerful voices in the music biz... BUT... as far as the 80's go, listen to Geoff Tate from Queensryche... Truly one of the most talented vocalists in music period... Sebastian could never sing a classical opera concert, then rip off his tuxedo and blast the most amazing rock vocals of all time... Same with Bruce Dickenson from Iron Maiden, or God forbid we forget Freddie Mercury... Sorry to pick apart your comment... but... the BEST... Nah, not really
@@scottdillin1322 I was a big Queensryche fan as well. I loved all metal. Still do. I agree Geoff Tate is an amazing vocalist. Operation Live Crime is evidence of that. But we are talking two different styles of metal. Queensryche was like a rock and roll opera and Geoff Tates voice reflected that. Skid Row was more of a fun and in your face, party band and Sebastian Bach's voice reflected that. Both singers are great at what they do. But opinion is subjective, and we all have one.
Wow!!! You absolutely nailed it!!! Sebastian going from soft voice to rock voice, is very difficult to do that well, and especially doing it live. I like the little things that you pick up on. Great reaction!!!
I know this is about the vocals (and Sebastian Bach is awesome), but I'm very happy that they electrified in the middle to let us hear Scotti Hill's wonderful, bluesy, bendy solo. It's one of my favorite guitar solos from an era that had no shortage of amazing guitar solos.
Not a guitarist, but noticed how perfect it was!! I was hoping it would go from acoustic to full band because of the solo. His harmonies with Bach were awesome, too!
Easily one of the tastiest 80's rock solos bar none. So many players butcher their solos live because they want to change it up...if it ain't broke don't fix it. He nailed it!
Don't Let Her Speak Y’all do know that song is about Duff from GnR don’t you? The two were very good buddy’s then. (Maybe now too?) So maybe could be one of the reasons he did that with voice?

Late 80s and early 90s was epic. Well from what I can remember lol. We had a blast back then before we had to adult. Hammer jacks in Baltimore was our venue to see these bands when they first hit the scene.

People talk about technical capability so much but the thing about Baz is that he really FELT and MEANT what he was saying. He was as intense and honest emotionally as he was powerful and technical. He is easily the most emotionally powerful vocalist of that entire era and one of the best ever.
The first reaction vid of yours I saw was Slaughter. Then I searched Skidrow on your channel bc I knew if you heard them your reaction would be genuine pleasure. Bach was amazing and I miss that era of music bc of vocalists like him. Damn these onions 😭
Oh lord...in his prime, Sebastian Bach's singing was simply UNTOUCHABLE. And with those looks, that hair, the charisma and height to go with that ridiculous voice? They couldn't have made a better rock frontman if they carved them out of stone.
I got to party with him and some of his buds back in the late 80's groupies in Phoenix AZ. TIMES I WILL NEVER FORGET! I will never forget you Bruce Kaiser!
Rebecca, great review once again! You must be reading my mind with your choices, love the bands and the songs you choose. I know the fans are requesting them, but you're ultimately making the choice. Anyway, I think skid row was quite underrated. They had so many good songs, but this is probably my favorite. The instruments, the lyrics and his delivery is perfection. Sebastian Bach is full of energy, but you can really sense the emotions in the words. Beautiful, brilliant song!

I liked the sound of this live performance better than the studio recording.
The clarity isn't there but his charisma makes up for it imo
I think it is safe to say the Heavy Metal produced the best voices of all time. LONG LIVE METAL!!!!!
I was a high school senior in '91, playing this same music in a hard rock band for all of my friends. The girls didn't mind it either... I almost got a bit teary eyed watching all of your reactions to this. It makes me happy to know that you've experienced the same emotions we did back then. It was a great time being young and full of rock and roll energy. I loved this video.
DutyCalls73 i was a Senior as well in 91 and a drummer in a band with my best friends. I agree that was a time to remember.
"What a specimen." Yeah, in rock and metal the talent and hotness is often found in same guys.
Sebastian is a trained Opera singer ..One of the most amazing voices from 80's metal
Bruce Dickinson,Ronnie James Dio,Rob Halford...:hold my vocal-cords🤷♂️
You forgot Miljenko Matijevic.
@@jhutch1470 True, Miljenko was tie with Rob... but Rob today has better voice. Best of them all.
Michael kiske
@@istvannagy7946 - Geoff Tate, hold my vocal cords!!!
The Best concert, man I wish I was there!! I Love Sebastian Bach so much!! It says Youth Gone Wild on his arm, another Great song!! I'm obsessed with Sebastian!! Omg!!!
Oh I love all of your reactions Rebecca! I’m sure I had exactly the same reaction when Sebastian walked on the stage, holy shit! He was beautiful! 🔥😜
One of the best voices from 80s rock. He’s still amazing. I believe he was all of 19-20yrs old here. Amazing vibrato. Just stunning.
I saw them with GnR 3 times that summer. One I had seats right up at the stage and Sebastian got down and sang this to me. I was 18 years old and it was a dream come true 😂 My boyfriend (who ended up my hubby) was so mad. But it was part of the act Im sure. An amazing memory from so long ago.
I saw them twice on this tour. So impressive…what a time to be alive 😁
I seen him live in October 2019. I was 10 feet from the stage and he still sounds really good.
You should analyze Wasted Time. Uhhhhh it's a roller-coaster
YESSSS and his vocals
Oh and 18 to life
Wasted time is amazing!!!🙌
YES!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wasted Time is unforgettable!
As a rocker who grew up loving Skid Row, I love her reaction and analysis of the song. Saw them in concert when this came out, loved it then, love it now and love that someone else whos hearing this song for the first time loves it! Rock on !
Other girls: He's cute.
Rebecca: WHAT A SPECIMENT.
Well shes a woman not a girl muahaha
Rebecca is a bit of a speciwoman herself.
Yeah, Skid Row in their prime were amazing.
Sebastian Bach: Real Life Disney Prince 🙏♥️
Sebastian Bach is a LEGEND.. HANDS DOWN
If you haven't already...I highly recommend listening to the studio release of this song. Such a powerful overall composition
It's pretty iconic, and he manages to put about every trick in the book into a short solo without making it cheesy.
I miss the rock ballads of those days. LA Guns were my jam
@@madddog6790
He sure does.Unison bends, muted sweep arpeggios, vibrato, and, I believe, a whammy dive bomb. In under 30 seconds.
He really does have an amazing voice. I swear I've watched this live video before but I just now picked up that he did a Jeff Keith at the end of it.
I was there. 1st gig as a 16 year old. Great day!
Skid Row - Wasted Time, his best vocal performance.
FYEAH
Yes but quicksand jesus too!!!
In a darken room as well that whole album is top notch.
Don't Let Her Speak
Y’all do know that song is about Duff from GnR don’t you?
The two were very good buddy’s then. (Maybe now too?)
So maybe could be one of the reasons he did that with voice?
I have been Skid Row Fan since they started out when I was 14 years old. I still listen everyday to the music.. Today im 49 :)
My daughter is starting as an undergraduate major in classical voice at Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music this Fall. I've got her hooked on your channel! She also thanks you for being such an enthusiastic promoter of music!
Rebecca you are a sweetheart and I really appreciate your honesty. That's what make great teachers and coaches. WINNER!
You should do Love Song by Tesla. I noticed in that live version Skid Row ended with that melody.
Tesla had an amazing stadium show! They are a good choice
Shane Hansen That’s exactly what I noticed. And I was really surprised to hear it! Lol
Love Tesla, one of my favourite bands ever. ❤️
sparky thekid Did you get to see them live?
I haven’t ... breaks my heart.
@@sophiecat14 Yes they are great. They did a song a while back with the guitarist from Def Leppard Phil Collen. Save the goodness.
@@rd410pb that song had Tesla written all over it!! I wonder if Phil originally wrote it for Def, or if he already had Tesla in mind.
Sebastian Bach's vocals are unreal. hearing the studio recording is one thing but live and you can tell he has the skills.
Late 80s and early 90s was epic. Well from what I can remember lol. We had a blast back then before we had to adult. Hammer jacks in Baltimore was our venue to see these bands when they first hit the scene.
One of our best exports to the US. He was the best celebrity to play "themselves" on Trailer Park Boys. His model train rivalry with Patrick Swayze was legendary
As a teenager, I crushed on him so bad! I saw him on the strip in Miami and almost crashed my little red convertible.
He had the most gorgeous hair. That man was just beautiful.
@FatalPies you are have a laugh...Geoff Tate couldn't lace Seb Bach's shoes
"18 and life" would be a great reaction.
He's Canadian.
He's done Broadway.
He is an amazing vocalist.
That's Right
Really??? He's Canadian???
Yep, from the Toronto area
Even did some beer commercials!

Definitely, A Rock Vocal Angel, his singing brings me to tears.
I counted the times I watched this video and realized that I've already watched it about 78 times. It's addictive!
5:02 is how every girl looks while watching Sebastian. 😄
what a beautiful creature he was in his day.
"what a specimen!" is right. 💯🔥❤
He is my all time favorite rocker. I’ve met Sebastian twice, he is amazing. I will always love him. His voice is unlike any other
1:09 Dat feeling when you see Sebastian Bach for the first time 😂
bit different in 2020 though
Exactly!! 😂😂
Alcoholism takes its toll
@@4Realzeaz drugs as well.😞😒
Again, this woman needs a Cigarette after this video.
Shoot I'm a guy and I need one
She orgasms a lot seeing those metal bands haha
Hahaha, that's hilarious
😂 think we all need one watching him 💕
@florida suburban homesteading 110% Guaranteed.
OMG! I became your fan! I watched several videos, but in this one I laughed. I love Skid Row and have always been impressed by Sebastian Bach's vocal ability. I found it very funny how you were impressed not only with him, but with the whole band. They are really awesome. You too. I'M from Rio de Janeiro - Brasil.
This girl is a trip. I'll have to watch more of her stuff. She's a character.
Hahaha “what a specimen” you’re adorable. And I love how you gave huge credit where its due. Instead of finding some bogus thing to complain about.
Sebastian Bach. One of a kind vocalist. Such good memories. I wish you would have listened to the album track instead of live though.
Yep..... First thing I thought!!
I appreciate this so much because these bands used to be underrated musically in their time because they were filthy rockstars. Nut we always knew. WE KNEW these were proper musicians. I still hear this song and cry.
Rebecca!! You are amazing and out of this world!! Thanks for sharing your reaction and knowledge!! Regards from México!!
I get the chills when he raises his hand to brush the hair out of his face and nail that huge scream near the end!
"what a specimen!" is right. Tall too. Well worth the climb.
Agreed!!
I just turned 50... yeah, I'm still stunned, anyhow... This song is my DNA. Rock n roll and RIP.
I can watch him over and over again
"Quick Sand Jesus" / "Wasted time" / "18 & life" 👍🔥✌
May I suggest “Quicksand Jesus”, “Wasted Time” , “Monkey Business”, or “Slave to the Grind”
Bach has one of the greatest voices in Rock ever! Incredibly powerful and controlled.
In A Darkened Room
Monkey business live at SNL was one hell of a performance. Say what you will about "hair metal", that shit was entertaining.
Yup
Was fortunate enough to see Skid Row and Guns twice during that tour. Great times, guys
