Sabastian bach is so amazing. Used to cruise in my 5.0 Mustang cranking the shit out of these guys. He did a lot of acting in the trailer park boys as well. Very funny.
Skid Row was formed in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey, by bassist Rachel Bolan and guitarist Dave Sabo. The pair recruited guitarist Scotti Hill and drummer Rob Affuso through newspaper ads.
Skid Row exploded onto the scene and the gig where they supported Crue on the Feelgood tour is still to this day hands down the most energised and amazing gig out of anything i have ever seen since to this day. Sebastian Bach is just amazing
Annie. Enjoy and appreciate these times with your Dad. I remember Rocking out with my kids back in the days. When you get older you'll understand. Great work Dad!!
He was in Gilmore Girls!? lmao I met his son once and he told me he was hooking up with a chick and, right as he was about to hit that home run, she whispered in his ear, "I hope you're as good as your dad". so messed up lol
My name is Joey Cowen, I saw Skid Row in Brisbane, Australia in 1990 at Festival Hall , I jumped on stage and sang with Sab , later I went back in the car with Dave Sabo, Sab and the rest to the hotel the Park Royal in Brisbane, partied till Dawn , it was the best time , Sab and Dave loved my Guns N Roses tattoo and Sab showed me his Youth Gorn Wild tattoo , love those times , I saw them again in 1993 at the Guns N Roses concert at Eastern Creek in Sydney, Australia, Sab remembered the party in Brisbane in 1990 , wow sooo miss those times !
It's okay! In time she WILL really appreciate it one day. My dad introduced me to "old guys" like led zepplin, black sabbath, pink floyd...bands that were big in the 70s (I was born in 71). I had this collection of ALBUMS I rarely listened to. Now, now that I no longer give a crap about what's in, what's cool, and making sure I am cool, I love it.
My husband and I introduced the music we grew up listening to when they were 10/11. We are Gen-Xers, so we grew up with ‘70’s & 80’s music. Our boys fell in love with these songs. They still like music from their own generation, but appreciate and thanked us for introducing this music to them. I wish your daughter had more of an open mind. Maybe she’ll revisit them when she’s older.....her reaction may change.

Sebastian was such a pretty girl with his natural flowing blonde locks. He had the best pipes by far also and that’s saying a bit for the hair metal era. Resist the urge to do 18 and Life like everyone else does and go with Youth Gone Wild instead.
Maybe she's never heard a real voice before? Just accustomed to auto-tune and rap maybe?? How can a young person appreciate real talent when they werent around in the 80's? :P ~80's, best music decade~

One of my favorite ballads. It's good seeing you trying to introduce 80s music culture to today's generation. I'm from Indonesia, this song was popular too in 90s.
It's a shame bands like this, GnR, Van Halen, CCR, etc, couldn't stay together because of burnt bridges. And that isn't even including deaths. So much talent and potential great future music wasted, and families torn apart-.-

@@dedo7326 Yeah. Idk how true it is, but I heard a few things. One was, when asking the other members of Skid Row, they were adamant that a reunion was never possible because Sebastian burned them so bad. I don't know the circumstances. I have a story about them not meant for young ears so I'll refrain from explaining it:P I heard about GnR that Axl basically tricked them back in the day and got all the rights so he could get all the money. Further, I heard Van Halen tried a few times but cut their tours short because they simply couldn't get along. I also heard Eddie wanted out mainly because he married and David was a womanizer. Then there was the whole Fogerty thing with him sounding too much like himself, getting sued, but getting the songs in the end. I'm no expert, so it could all be simply heresay, but that's a ton of drama for only 4 of the great bands:P

INCREDIBLE voice! First of all. Met him in person at a little club in Brooklyn called L'Amour. Metal club we went to often because it was the only venue that had "our kind of music". While waiting for the headliner we went to see, King Diamond (NOT recommended for your daughter given her previous reactions) I happened to bump into Sebastian at the bar. He was there to see King Diamond too! We chatted for a few minutes, SUPER nice guy, bought me a beer and a shot (He didn't know I was only 18, with my fake 21+ hand stamp). Then, as usual, King Diamond didn't show due to immigration issues (like THAT would be an issue today!) but the rest of King's band (Andy LaRoque!!) was there, got up on stage, and called Sebastian up for a few songs! He kindly said "sorry dude, looks like I'm wanted onstage, get yourself another drink on me". He left a $20 on the bar for my next drink! I know he's had his issues, and people can say what they want, but the guy I met was genuine, PERIOD! The world would be a much better place with more people like him, instead of those that criticize people like him!
I absolutely LOVE the story. The very first time I heard Sebastian Bach was Skid Row opening for Motley Crue. I was 16 years old and obsessed with Motley Crue (specifically Nikki Sixx) back then. My best friend and I snuck out to go to see Motley Crue. We thought we were so smart. We waited in line forever, we're feeling all rebellious and adult and we finally work are way up to the entrance gate where the cops are patting everyone down for drugs & weapons and realize that her Mom & Step-Dad (who are both cops) are two of the 3 cops doing the pat downs at the gate. We had to dive over into the 3rd cop's line at the last second and literally walked in right under her mother's nose. We did all of that because I was obsessed with Motley Crue and the only thing I wound up remembering about that concert was how amazing the opening act (Skid Row) was and how crappy Motley Crue and Aerosmith sounded compared to the new kid.
I've raised my daughters on 80s rock/metal. I'm 48 now. And my girls are 21 & 27. And they LOVE this Metal of that time period. Bazs' voice is one of the best to come out of that time. Not many frontmen had the range and training that Baz had.
Thank you, I Just added this to my 'love songs' anniversary list. Which is fast approaching. One of my favorite songs. Ps, I had No idea Sebastian Bach was in Gillmore Girls. Apparently I didn't watch enough episodes. I will now. Thank you.
This was my first time on your channel. I absolutely love Sebastian Bach. This song gets me right in the feels. However I'm not sure I will be back. Your daughter seems totally disconnected like the usual teenager and really doesn't seem interested. (I have 4 daughters so i get it.) This was a complete turn off for me. Why video her reaction or lack there of? You can't force them to love our music. Trust me I've tried. Very boring. No offence. Also before sharing stories you may want to research them. Sebastian is Canadian. As for the Nikki Sixx story. I doubt it. I am obsessed with 80's hair bands and I have read all of their books about LA and The Strip and the parties the drugs the girls and I've never read that one. Anyway good luck with your channel. I'm out.

The young 17 yr old guitar player got screwed out of his royalties on the music he wrote i think it was kicking and screaming .
So one thing the dad got wrong was that Sebastián isn't from Australia, he's from a town called Peterborough, Ontario Canada which just happens to be where I am from and currently reside and his dad is buried here as well
Her reaction “ wow kill me now please “..lol
Sadly, the young people of today have no clue as to what great music us OLD people had access to in the 70's, 80's, and part of the 90's. Concerts rocked, and the music was played with real instruments. This video played non stop on MTV. Thanks for posting.
If you want to hears his "Pipes" listen to "Wasted Time"
Also in "18 and life".
Or Quicksand Jesus
Or his cover of Children of the damned.
In a Darkened Room and Livin on a Chaingang🤘🏼
We are going to cover their entire back catalogue at this rate. 😂😂😂
When this song came out, I was in my early teens.
At first I couldn't comprehend what the true message was about, but now that I'm going to be 50 y.o. this August, I still get goosies every time I hear this song!
Thanks so much for the memories!
Enjoy
When Skid Row broke up he went and performed on Broadway and hit it big with Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
It's awesome that you show your daughter that there are many things to experience and it's cool that she has an open mind about this. You get a honest opinion and that's what you asked for. Everyone has their own likes. It just happens that I like Skidrow, and this is my favorite song. That's what caught my eye as I was scrolling through this section. Awesome father, daughter time! Mahalo for sharing.
Sabastian bach is so amazing.
Used to cruise in my 5.0 Mustang cranking the shit out of these guys.
He did a lot of acting in the trailer park boys as well. Very funny.
Don't lie.....it was Vanilla Ice. C'mon you know you did in your 5.0
🤘🏻🤘🏻
She looks like she wants to put her eyes out with dull pencils.
Nah she just looks like a typical 14 yr old being forced to listen to her dad's music lol nothing wrong with that! We were that age once!
Lol, "he's way younger here".... yup, he was a whole 19 years old when Skid Row's debut was released
Skid Row was formed in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey, by bassist Rachel Bolan and guitarist Dave Sabo. The pair recruited guitarist Scotti Hill and drummer Rob Affuso through newspaper ads.
You’ve got to show your daughter “Wasted Time” by Skid Row... Sebastian Bach was so under rated in my opinion... phenomenal voice...
The 70’s 80’s NO decade can beat that time! Thank God that I was in my 20’s and lived through it! The best of times ! Great reaction!
I love the way the dad is all excited reminiscing and enjoying the time and his daughters face is like “ugh, old people” ... “can’t relate” 😂
Happy to had the blessing be part of the 80's.
Bach had such amazing voice & talk about HOT AS HELL! Damn he was gorgeous & talented.
Skid Row exploded onto the scene and the gig where they supported Crue on the Feelgood tour is still to this day hands down the most energised and amazing gig out of anything i have ever seen since to this day. Sebastian Bach is just amazing
Sebastian was only around 21/22 years old when he made this recording. His vocals are insane and he really did have the pipes back in the day.
Annie. Enjoy and appreciate these times with your Dad. I remember Rocking out with my kids back in the days. When you get older you'll understand. Great work Dad!!
He was in Gilmore Girls!? lmao
I met his son once and he told me he was hooking up with a chick and, right as he was about to hit that home run, she whispered in his ear, "I hope you're as good as your dad". so messed up lol
guitargodthor2 yes he was in Gilmore girls, he played the guitarist that replaced Dave in lanes band, his name was Gil.
😂😂
Seems that she has no interest in connecting with the music you love.
Literally ever video.
@@veilexor4165 So true!
Peer pressure does not allow her to love real music.
One of the best rock songs of all time. That's what got me here...been a fan since 1989 of Skid Row and Sebastian Bach.Still sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it!
You should show her Love Song by Tesla. One of my favorite intros ever.
fuckin love 80s tunes
Love Song is amazing.
That’s awesome you teach your daughter about the 80s and 90s music. i do the same with mine. Best era of all time man.
Skid Row live at Wembley Stadium is a great concert. Worth checking out.
this video title should be changed to
14 year old DOESN'T react to skid row i remember you
what's wrong with kids today, it's like they are numb or something
Great reaction. Also a great band. Love your videos.
She’s watching but thinking about Bieber
Michael Cunis 😂
ROTFLMAO
Who the f**k is beiber?
Cit. Ozzy 😂
18 and life was another favorite of mine! Great Reaction, huge fan of you guys!!
Sebastian was such a pretty girl with his natural flowing blonde locks. He had the best pipes by far also and that’s saying a bit for the hair metal era. Resist the urge to do 18 and Life like everyone else does and go with Youth Gone Wild instead.
LoL I just posted and recommended Youth gone Wild lol... great fucking song...
Yes He is a Legend, and the vocal range is Incredible!!!!!
Maybe she's never heard a real voice before? Just accustomed to auto-tune and rap maybe?? How can a young person appreciate real talent when they werent around in the 80's? :P ~80's, best music decade~
👍👍👍
Wow dude, as if we haven’t heard this tango a million times already
Great video. I just love listening to skid row . Awesome band
Man, I miss the power ballads of the 80s.
It must've felt like a lifetime achievement to be able to get your teenage daughter sit through what you love to listen to.
Warrant - Uncle Tom's Cabin. May be a fun one for the both of you to do, also if you do more movies Rock Of Ages (Extended Version). I'd love to see Annie's take on that.
I hated warrant growing up because of the "Down Boys" song it seemed to gay to be honest... But Uncle Tom's Cabin is fucking amazing. I jam to it all the time...
Uncle Tom's Cabin is a fantastic song and video.
So much talent and potential great future music wasted, and families torn apart-.-
wheresatari at least gnr has slash axl and duff I think with in the next couple years we will see Izzy back idk about Adler since he had the stroke they were letting him play a couple of songs during a set so that’s a step in the right direction.
I love this band. They look so cool, and that voice.....Dad is loving it, daughter looks like she couldnt care less. Im very proud to say that my 19 year old listens to tons of my music... but not only when I make her sit down and do a youtube video with me...lol
One of the greatest rock singers of all time, and you dimmished it. You both have no clue.
she BLINKED when he hit the high note.. that's high praise from this gal lol.
Ah reminds me of my high school crush. Man I feel old now
Awesome song. This is the song that got me into Skid Rowe, after I heard this I bought all their albums and got into their stuff.
\m/ Stay Metal \m/
No offense to your daughter, but I'd honestly prefer a video with just you doing a solo reaction
That's kinda rude.
She may not be into it but they're together. My girls are all grown up and I'd love to have one more disinterested moment with my little girls
My best day happened recently. We were decorating outside for Halloween. I was putting on some music and my 11 year old daughter asked to listen my 80’s hair rock. Proud mama moment. Yes, she grew up listening to it, along with a lot of Disturbed thrown in for extra flavor. 😂
She looks so disinterested...
lotz9001 she’s 14
@@chloenkitty and wouldn't know good music if it slapped her in the face..the BS that's out there now for these kids to listen to..pure unadulterated GARBAGE
she likes rap
She doesn't understand the music. She is a generation Z and therefore Rap and teen music is what they prefer.
@@taupulu that BS out there now is not rap..I honestly feel bad for kids now...I get it that it's all they know, but compared to what I had to choose from growing up.. there's no comparison..IMO
I looove this song, I play it on guitar everytime I can.
I think I was listening now whit the same face of yours... still surprised by the guitar solo
No offense whatsoever, but she doesn't say much so I don't get why her opinion matters. If this is a reaction video then she should expound. Not just i would listen to this on the radio
this is reaction not positive reaction..that's her reaction!
All these years and I still remember every word.
After you finish the Skid Row rabbit hole. I’d like to see her reaction to Cheap Trick.
Iam 51 yes old. No children. Love the 80's music. You are a cool father. I am sure your daughter appreciates you turning her on to good music. Well done
She's just not interested in any of this!!
So weird that this video would show up in my available ones to watch, when I have been working on a new video that includes me singing part of Youth Gone Wild and I Remember You with pictures for my radio show. Love the music!
Can you have her react to Def Leppard Bringin on the heartbreak or Hysteria?? I love your reactions! And it would be cool for me to see another girl my age reacting to my favorite songs🤟🏼🤟🏼
I recently showed my daughter a Metallica video from 1984 that she enjoyed - it wasn’t her response that matters to me. She’s 17 years old and still spending time with me at home, not because of Covid but because I spent a lot time with her doing things that she wanted to do while growing up. Good job Father!
We was also in Broadway’s
“Jesus Christ Superstar”
Typo sir
When everyone remembered his name as Gill.
SHE SMILES for the first time !
I love the reaction videos of younger people watching what we grew up with.
NOW let's see her , show you and us her favorites !
Would love to see her and her enjoyment of explaining today's music to her father.
You two's bond is solid !!
Now it's her turn to build on it !!!!!
90's Sebastian Bach and Rory Gilmore are pretty much identical twins.
Maybe you should try some new kids on the block or wham! Both excellent and I think they would be right up her ally.
This kid couldn’t give a crap. Her dad seems so cool and has so much to share with her.
Play Annie some Vanilla Fudge, "Keep Me Hanging On" see how she likes that one
That's a band name I haven't heard in a long time
@@patrickperry8951 that's old school heavy metal
I saw them in concert they are awesome one of my favorite groups
I think annie will like a bit of a parody band like the darkness. I believe in a thing called love would be interesting 😂
I'd have preferred: "18 To Life" Maybe you could do "18 To Life" one of these days, please.
That is one of my favorite Skid Row songs and my favorite ballad
PLEASE React to ONE MORE LIGHT LIVE by LINCOLN PARK TO SHOW UR KIDDO CHESTER AT HIS FINEST!!!! Xoxo newbie ~Dee
I've raised my daughters on 80s rock/metal. I'm 48 now. And my girls are 21 & 27. And they LOVE this Metal of that time period.
Bazs' voice is one of the best to come out of that time. Not many frontmen had the range and training that Baz had.
She doesn’t say much, just looks confused
I'm out.
I’m 16 and hair metal is my shit! I know more about it than some adults
I love that she's fourteen when being introduced to this song. That's how old I was in 1989 when I first heard it.
Did you sit with a blank look of complete disinterest bitting your nails when you first heard it too 😂
Come on parents let your children know that without Scott Hills guitar playing and songwriting there is no Skid Row. :) Sabistian was good vocalist but that's where it ends. I find Dave the snake Sabo more interesting honestly.
Skid Row was a huge success here in Brazil, back in the early 90’s. Check “18 & Life” live at “Apoteose Stadium”, Rio de Janeiro, which they included on their RoadKill VHS ... That concert was broadcasted live on TV also.
Great to see you showing your music taste and favorites to your daughter!
He's Canadian and His brother was a pro hockey goalie and one of his sisters is an actor. He was technically born in the Bahamas and raised in Canada. He's part of a very talented family. You have to do Monkey Business by them.
Raised in Peterborough and born in Jamaica wasn't it?... I heard he went back to Peterborough a few years after Skid Row broke up, got drunk and got in a bar fight, LOL... would be like us typical Canadians!
