His solo stuff is really good too I'm alive, kicking & screaming, All my friends are dead, Temptation, etc. Sebastian is my 2nd favorite singer of all time almost tied with Amy Lee at first lol.
Let me fix that for you..... "You can't think of dying when the bottles your best friend and now its....." I grew up on Skid Row, was my favorite band in 8th grade.@@uttasyda9746
Sebastian just had that voice. It was a Rock voice, it was nasally and pitchy at times but that dude could make you FEEL the emotion connected to a song. He was a ROCK STAR.
I’m almost 42 years old and have heard this song so many times, but that “I love you” always makes me catch my breath. They don’t make music like this anymore.
The solo in this song is absolute perfection, it fits so perfectly in to the theme of the song and the vibe of the entire piece. Not a solo that is there just for the sake of having a solo there, it does what a solo should do, enhance the entire piece!
*Skid Row - "Wasted Time", "In A Darkened Room", and "Quicksand Jesus" are absolute musts to check out (if you haven't already of course). Sebastian's voice is amazing, beautiful, powerful, emotional, raw, and any other positives you can think of.* ❤🤘🤘🤘
I remember when Skid Row's album came out. So many great songs. Back then, we never knew these songs would become classics. It's always nice to see someone discover these great songs. Thanks for the reaction Aileen 🙂
You should totally check out Skid Row's "Wasted Time" - a vocal masterclass, written about their friend Steven Adler, the original drummer of Guns'N'Roses and his addiction...Also check "Quicksand Jesus", "Monkey Business" and "In a darkened room" by them...
Loved your reaction. Skid row is one of the most underrated bands of all time. They were amazing. Sebastian's voice was one of the best one's out there.

This might be one of the best songs I've ever heard. It's truly amazing the way the music blends seamlessly with the vocals. But Sebastian Bach's vocals on this song are perfection! That last note he carries for like 10 seconds, are you serious??? Love it!
It really warms my heart to see someone from a younger generation appreciate this music so much. This song brings tears to my eyes because it takes me back to a really hard time in my life. There are certain songs that bring you back to that place. This song speaks of heartache and love. Thank you for appreciating our music!
Sebastian Bach, the singer, has an incredible voice. So good that he was lead in least 2 Broadway musicals, one of which was Jeckyll & Hyde. He's still around and singing, rocking hard.
The days of the power ballad, screaming leads and a singer that could crush your soul. I love watching people hear the last part of this one for the first time.
Being 24 years old my parents got me into some great music. 18 and Life and I Remember You are two of my favorite songs from Skid Row, glad you got to listen to these songs ❤
Sebastian Bach really was a treasure. He was way before my time but I grew up with my pops and this is what he listens to still to this day. His voice made me emotional depending on my mood. Very few artists are able to do that.
I love watching first-timers to music like this. I grew up with music like this. The 80's 'Big-Hair Bands'... They taught us that... Sometimes we're happy. Sometimes we're sad. Sometimes we're mad. Sometimes we're right. Sometimes we're wrong. How we feel changes ever five minutes. We aren't perfect, but we can love someone else regardless. That's what makes us beautiful, our beautiful imperfections. I really hope you enjoy this, and get to appreciate other great music from these time periods.
Aileen, recently I have been going through some serious things forcing me to re-evaluate my life. Watching your reaction to this song took me way back to my teenaged years. I could not hold back the tears remembering how I felt the first time I heard this song. I kind of felt the song was speaking to my younger self….thank you for sharing this experience. ❤️
Aileen, your reaction to 'I Remember You', is THE BEST on the net... A lot of us can relate to your reaction first time listening to it in the 90s.... 😊
Yes The 80s Metal was the Best. I was in my 20s when this song came out. Those where the Best years. I'm in my 60s now and still Love the 80s Metal. PEACE OUT.❤
Hair Metal was big. But speed Metal or Trash Metal was in High gear. Like the Big 4. Megadeth/Matalica/Slayer and Antrax was getting Bigger and Bigger.. I Love them Day's Long Live Metal..
I was in high school when this came out. It's difficult to describe how huge this song was. All the guys loved Skid Row in general, and all the girls loved this song. It was huge. Got so much radio play everyone started hating it after a while. But it really is a beautiful song. A similar song, if you haven't heard it yet, is Fly to the Angels, by Slaughter. Came out in the same time period.
I was in high school too. I totally agree, Mark Slaughter had a fabulous voice! Jani Lane from Warrant too! “Uncle Toms Cabin” is a great song. Back when singers could sing, before auto tune killed real music!
It's a fantabulous song and album. My personal recommendations for Skid Row would be "Youth Gone Wild" and "18 and Life". Phenomenal songs, and thank you for doing some awesome music from my youth.
I love her reaction videos she is so lovely and classy and she has real heart and emotion about her kind of woman you hope to meet someday thank you for the reaction video❤
This song came out when I was 17. And this was part of the soundtrack of that era for me. Every time I hear it, it takes me right back to those days. Great reaction! If you haven't already, check out Wasted Time. Easily one of the best vocal performances ever.
I’m so glad I grew up in the 80s and got to listen to all the fantastic music of that era. Glam Rock, Metal, Soft Rock, Alternative Rock, New Wave all of it. What a great time to be alive. Gen X forever!!
Skid Row is actually a New Jersey band, discovered (or at least promoted) by Jon Bon Jovi. This is their trademark power ballad. “18 and Life” is perhaps their biggest and one of their most powerful songs.

Damn. This song always gets me in the feels. The guitar solo is so emotional. Almost as emotional as the “Love Hurts” solo from Nazareth…it’s been on my playlist since it came out in the late 80zzzz…such a lovely song 🤘🏽❤️🔥🤘🏽❤️🔥🤘🏽❤️🔥

Such a joy watching your expressions and the way you just match the music especially to the guitar solo 😭 So on point with how the guitar was pretty much crying out! If you had asked me about watching videos of people reacting to their first time hearing a song I've known for well over 30 years, I'd say you were out of your damned mind...and yet here I am, watching them regularly. It's quite interesting to see others react to a beloved song, kind of as if we were experiencing it as well thru you. I can't tell you why this appeals to me, but dammit, it DOES.
🥰Beautiful reaction!!! If you want to get to know Skid Row and the greatness of Sebastian Bach (lead singer) better... please check out the live performance of this song in Wembley Stadium 1991 (they were there with Guns n Roses)... it's a real treat with Seb's opening commentary and his INSANE vocal play mid-song. It will blow your mind!!🤯😊 Peace and light...💞

This song can make you feel so many emotions. It’s perfection. I’m an 80’s kid and those were the best years ever for great music. I definitely miss those years!!! Love your videos and take on the songs.
That is Scotti Hill, he wrote the solo...to this day he cannot believe people love his solo 30 years later...he did a video on his YT page because young guitar players want to learn it. I saw them live several times back then...The 91 tour was amazing.
The beautiful emotions that emanate from you are infectious. I can only imagine the magnitude of the emotions that you feel but don't visually express. I remember buying this album when it came out in 1989. Keep exploring, Aileen...there's much more!
Sebastian Bach had the most powerful and soulful vibrato. I heard from a good source that the producer pushed him so hard during the recording of this album, where Sebastian kept running out of the studio crying because he was pushed to his limits. I watched a few of your videos and this one made me subscribe. I shared your emotions while you were listening. I’m a touring sound engineer btw -Navajo Nate AZ-
I love your appreciation of the music that we grew up with! The ballads of the 80s were so beautiful and amazing! I personally believe that the 80s were one of the best generations with music in multiple genre's.
Great song! Done beautifully by a great band from the 80s. Sebastian Bach sung that song among others they've done beautifully! It's one of my favorite 80s ballads! Reminds me of some great days and memories!
This song is from my teen years. I tell people, if you haven't had a relationship that you can relate this song to, you haven't had a real love yet. I've always wished I found someone else who also made me feel like this song. Sadly, hasnt happened. Just the one did. (No she wasnt my first love) we're actually still good friends shes now happily married almost 20 years with 4 kids and admits she still misses me sometimes.
Thank you for taking me back to those years. I rmbr recording this song off the radio and playing this on the cassette every night. I was in love with Sebastian Bach 🥹 In my 40s now, indulging in kpop 😂 but rock bands was where it all started for me.
WASTED TIME BY SKID ROW IS A MUST! Seriously if you want to hear how amazing Sebastian's voice really is you have to check that one out! It's kind of a sad song too. It was written about Sebastian's good friend Steven Adler, the original drummer of Gun's n Roses. He got addicted to heroin and his playing got so bad he was fired from Gun's n Roses. In 1996 Steven suffered a stroke after taking a speedball which is a mixture of heroin and cocaine. He was in a coma but survived. He had paralysis on one side of his face and a lisp. He's he's battled with his Addictions ever since but he seems to be doing okay these days. He still plays drums he's been in a couple of bands. And in 2016 he actually got to play a couple of shows with Guns and Roses again. I don't want to give away my age and how old I am. But I saw Skid Row open up for Aerosmith at Nassau Coliseum here on Long Island back in January of 1990. I was 14 years old lol. Then I saw Sebastian Bach in the Broadway show Jekyll and Hyde back in 1997. The man can sing his ass off! But man this song brings me back to my first serious girlfriend when I was a teenager 😂
Of all the experts analyzing Skid Row, voice and music, you are undoubtedly the best. Not only do you focus on the wonderful voice of Sebastian Bach, but you feel the same thing that I feel, that match between his voice and the impeccable execution of Scott Hill's guitar, they come together as a whole that shakes 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I love your analysis, without a doubt from now on you have a new subscriber
There are a few songs out there where there are no notes. No comments, no tweaks, nothing. This is one of those songs. You feel the anguish, the pain, the anger, the sorrow, the heartbreak...all of it. Sebastian Bach's voice is ripping apart the fabric of time, but the band behind him doesn't get the credit they deserve. Dave's melodious picking and Rachel's immaculate bass fills support Scotti ripping the steel out of the walls with a solo that sounds like a guitar crying out in emotional pain. Truly a perfect song.
Bach’s voice was unbelievable in his prime. Great band that was so under appreciated just due to the sheer volume of bands making music at the time they got lost in the shuffle but as a front man his voice is so powerful.
Skid Row- Wasted Time is a must. You won't be disappointed 🔥🤘
This! If you wana hear great vocals it is a must.

Sebastian Bach is one of the all time great rock singers. Epic vocal range from gentle lows to face melting highs.
IMHO, this is the greatest power ballad ever made. Skid Row are spitting fire during this time of their career. Perfection.

This was the last of the 80s Power Ballads. It really takes me back to the era I miss that era so much.
I saw Skid Row open for Motley Crue in '89 in Germany. They blew MC away. Probably because Sebastian can actually sing.
So did WhiteSnake when they opened for MC. MC’s lead vocalist could never sing to save his soul.

Brings me back growing up!!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 I’m only 29 but grew up with this old rock days stuff haha. You react to Bad Omens ever? Sorry I’m new here
So good to see young current generations appreciate classic 70s and 80s rock. Thank you.
This song can make you feel so many emotions. It’s perfection. I’m an 80’s kid and those were the best years ever for great music. I definitely miss those years!!! Love your videos and take on the songs.
One of my favorite guitar solos of ALL TIME... SUCH RAW EMOTION 🥹😳
That is Scotti Hill, he wrote the solo...to this day he cannot believe people love his solo 30 years later...he did a video on his YT page because young guitar players want to learn it. I saw them live several times back then...The 91 tour was amazing.
People can chose to change, nobody can force you to change.
I hope those people on skid row find the will power to change and seek the help they need.
That guitar solo still gives me the chills. Scotti Hill is the man! ❤
He’s got the most beautiful mellow singing voice and then when he takes it high, I get goosebumps.
I haven't heard that song in years. Boy, it gave me goosebumps, got me right in my feelers 😂
18 to life is a great one!
The beautiful emotions that emanate from you are infectious. I can only imagine the magnitude of the emotions that you feel but don't visually express. I remember buying this album when it came out in 1989. Keep exploring, Aileen...there's much more!
I grew up listening to this song, and to this day it still gives me the chills
Sebastian Bach had the most powerful and soulful vibrato. I heard from a good source that the producer pushed him so hard during the recording of this album, where Sebastian kept running out of the studio crying because he was pushed to his limits. I watched a few of your videos and this one made me subscribe. I shared your emotions while you were listening. I’m a touring sound engineer btw -Navajo Nate AZ-
ABSOLUTELY NO ONE BRINGS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MUSIC TO ALL YOUR FOLLOWERS THE WAY YOU DO DARLIN OWN IT YOUR A NATURAL 👍
You must react to the live version of I Remember You at Wembley Stadium in 1991. It is awesome and Sebastian's voice is even better live!!!!
When you start smiling and head bobbing and such it is so darn adorable.
Of all the experts analyzing Skid Row, voice and music, you are undoubtedly the best.
Not only do you focus on the wonderful voice of Sebastian Bach, but you feel the same thing that I feel, that match between his voice and the impeccable execution of Scott Hill's guitar, they come together as a whole that shakes 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love your analysis, without a doubt from now on you have a new subscriber
I LOVE SB. Definitely one of the most amazing lives in Rock. Period.
