LSV, I was wondering if our game was going to end up here on UA-cam. I was the last game and up until that point, I was at 6-0. Disappointed that my deck had its worst showing up to that point, but honored to play against one of the greats. I did recover and ended up getting 7 wins with my own detectives fortunately!
My draft deck last FNM had 3 Novice Inspector 2 No More Lies 2 Case of Pilfered Proof 2 Private Eye 3 Cold Case Cracker 1 Cryptic Coat 1 Ezrim, Agency Chief felt like a constructed deck lol
I've noticed him miss this a number of times but this is the first time that it's absolutely clear that it's just a mistake. I'm assuming he thinks that either the artifact loses its abilities when it becomes a 0/0 creature, or that clues need to tap to sac & draw. Either way it's a bit of an odd mistake since the clue bird is clearly lit up, indicating that it has an ability that can be activated.
@@LunaLasceriaI was surprised to learn (thanks to this set) that clues don't tap as part of their sac ability. The other evergreen artifact tokens seem to tap (except Gold which is mostly replaced by Treasure now.)
@@LunaLasceria Nah LSV knows clues don't need to tap to activate; he mentioned that in the Limited Resources set review when they talked about Red Herring
I think the biggest things to learn from this draft are when you took Novice Inspector 1 over Makeshift binding and Novice Inspector 2 over On the Job... then Case of the filched falcon over On the Job after having 3xNovice inspector. I know that I have definitely taken the opposite pick in the same situations before.
Did I overlook something or did you have lethal on board Game 2 if you played Out Cold instead of Ezrim? He had 2 creatures on board with 2 life and you had 2 damage on board, no?
What a deck! Kind of a shame that the draft was so clear cut and easy though, I always try to learn from these but even I could've gotten this deck together, maybe with a couple of different picks. It's the really hard drafts where it's most valuable to learn from you.
“I’m gonna draft like I’m at the pro tour!”
*Gets passed 3 Novice Inspectors*
Thraben inspector and Mana Leak? This is vintage cube!
Novice Inspector is even in the newest Vintage Cube currently on MTGO (alongside Thraben)!
"Innocent Bystanders gets completely dunked on by the Novice Inspector." Sounds like police brutality to me.

At 37:16 wouldn't it have made sense to sac the clue creature since it would be taken out by their removal spell anyway?
A painful misplay from LSV?
"You haven*t aged well, Snake"
There were a few spots he missed it. I think he's assuming tap is part of the cycle cost.

"They are rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic" That quote killed me XD
Just wanted to say that we appreciate the extra effort you put in to cut out the waiting times.
The burden of proof at 44:17 would have made Ezrim even buffer wouldnt it?
The WUBRG polygraph orb deck with.a polygraph Orb out of mythic #396 needs to get studied in a lab
Love the content LSV. Glad you are doing a mix of vintage and recent set limited.

37:12 you could sac your 5/4 to draw a card right?
Seen a lot of people make that mistake, important to remember that your falcon still has its clue ability.
10:33 :))) Make them moves Luis GL at the tour.
Why did you not sack the animated clue when it was galvanasied?
Are the 4/4 clues off Case of the Filched Falcon not still clues? Luis never sacced them in response to removal.
They are still clues and can be sacked to draw. He just missed it.
You'd think a workforce of novices is bad, but at my workplace the novices are often the best workers as well...
gl at the pro tour!
The branch as the 18th land was really interesting, cool to watch that decision making
at 25:00 why didnt he just tap down the flyer with out cold?
They could make another 1/1 thopter with the orb so it would have been pointless.
@@RobJT ohh thanks
@@christianroot6287would’ve worked the previous turn though if he had tapped down the blockers instead of playing Ezrim
God it was so satisfying to see you beat the lucksack with double Aurelia
Was the real lucksack the person with double Aurelias, or the guy with three novice inspectors and an Ezrim? Food for thought.
@@fjordojustice you do have a point, but the dude with the double rare is probably edging him out with luck
@@TFedits85 Aurelia is great, but not vaguely close to Ezrim
Spoilers for the PT
Congrats on the 6-0 limited performance at the PT. Sorry you couldn't make the top 8 but am happy you'll be back for the next one.
Less cube! More drafts! Less cube! More drafts!
If you animate a clue, you can still sac if to draw, right? Lime in 37th minute when it got galvanised
"Rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic", nice :-)
Congrats on the successful PT drafts!
I would love if you did a story time draft on your PT experience. Like do a MKM draft and just go through how your weekend went.
37:17 you can sac that clue no?
37:00 should have sacked the clue bird in response to Galvanize.
Okay but how do you feel about Novice Inspector??
Did I overlook something or did you have lethal on board Game 2 if you played Out Cold instead of Ezrim? He had 2 creatures on board with 2 life and you had 2 damage on board, no?
The Living Conundrum has hexproof, therefore he couldnt tap it
@@kristofferh.nielsen9789ah, missed that thank you!

Love seeing your Arena drafts!!!!!
I first picked novice inspector over judith today, was probably wrong but its such a house
10:43 sounded straight out of Donald Trump 😂
The answer to the video title is probably around 10?
Novice inspectors and mana leaks like it was pauper.
my drafts: no clear signals, colors all over the place, packs drying up super quickly
LSVs draft: 7 people passing all blue & white cards
I tried to enjoy drafting this set but I was frustrated with it. It wasn’t as bad as phyrexia but it was new capenna tier for me
37:18 You could have cracked that clue, right? Its not a tap ability.
i have never seen white be this open in any draft ive done haha
Love the set drafting
Nobody talking about the triple rare p1p1? I didn't even know that was possible!
Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic 💀
At 44:14 Opponent "I'm going to give Ezrim +2/+2." LSV "no thanks." Burden of proof gives Detectives +2/+2. Ezrim is a detective.
It's gives +2/+2 to detectives the opponent controls. Otherwise it becomes a 1/1 creature
@@Lefeux I even Googled it to make sure I wasn't wrong. Still missed that lol. Thanks that cards a lot better than I thought.
Missed lethal at 24:55, could have just out cold that thopter then swing for 5
I love how his logic was "sometimes you just don't draw a plains" instead of "sometimes you don't mulligan when you should" lol
I really miss the interactions you had with chat while streaming. Is there any chance you'd bring that back?
Seal clubbing. Ouch!
How many Novice Inspectors is too many?
damn what a draft lol
Stark hits first 🎉
Definitely not a novice when making so many moves.
Aurelia never triggers off an opponent’s attack in paper
It does if you read the card
uhh 6 i think
That's not vintage cube. ❤
So Many Moves and Zero More Lies 🫡
