I hadn't thought about it, but the tri lands in this set are really more like 4 color lands with all the colorless requirements. very cool design.

Yes
He has four untapped lands and 9 spawn. 5 pings requires 5 Spawn for the Colorless, 1 spawn for the extra generic mana, and 5 Eldrazi. Since he has two non-Spawn Eldrazi, I think he ends up with exactly enough.
The issue I often find with first picking Chrysalis is that everyone seems to be forcing Eldrazi because of it regardless of whether or not their seat should be Eldrazi
Also as someone running a lot of quick drafts it seems to appear that people are dropping any pool that isn't Eldrazi maybe one in five or six matches is not eldrazi
@@grin_of_grimmsnarl1333 i think it has more to do with forcing green being decent regardless if you seem to be cut off or not and then you can always go for some 3-4 color deck with some eldrazis which is still good enough
@lordmatz3435 generally yes, but I've been seeing a lot of them elsewhere. The manafixing is definitely good enough. I just feel like I run into this conglomerate piles of draft puke sometimes because I'm trying to draft my actual lane and getting cut hard on both sides. It only seems to happen with Eldrazi. So I've learned to lean into Black and try to just cut that instead.
I’ve splashed chrysalis a lot and it’s still just very good. Even with no other support it’s a 4 mana 4/5 reach that ramps you or provides 2 additional bodies.
@ogolthorp thats a bold statement. Even in dedicated RG after first and second picking Chrysalis, I've still just ended up with a bunk top end (most recently passing Titan's Vanguard to guarantee the Chrysalis pick 1) and Chrysalis never compensates for that. At least, not for me. Maybe that's my luck with it but I'm not seeing the consistency and power that everyone is tearing their hair out over the card for. I don't like it on the splash. The fact that the card is apparently so powerful it skews everyone into RG on the off-chance one comes their way isn't good, either. The hell you think 2 4/5s are gonna do against someone who drafted all your top end?

I came here to see missing on Reverse Polarity flips, and I was not disappointed.
I think the first pick was 100% correct, but I do think nethergoyf is just a real card. It’s pretty easy to become 4/5 and is also good fodder for various sac outlets.

Yaaaaaaas more Modern Horizons 3 drafts 🎉 watching you draft this format is phenomenal and teaches us a lot.
I managed to score rank 600ish in this limited format and I'm pretty happy with it honestly. A very fun format. It kinda felt like playing a weaker cube.

A lot to think about in draft to end up in Jundrazi. Nice complicated boardstates - like the decision to play extra defensive and not die to several turns of trample damage from the linebreaker followed by lucky draws from Andy.
Draft is self-correcting; win rates (of 17lands players) for Gruul(+splash) has decreased 3% from the first week leading to more creative solutions like Jundrazi.

Any reason you're not doing some content on the current MTGO run if you're not able to get team drafts firing? I didn't mind a few MH3 drafts mixed in but there's been quite a lot now
