So I made your Nutella Semifreddo with my daughter and although it looked simple we had a lil challenge and our nutella did get hard :( I did not want to throw away all that yummy Nutella so I decided to do your custard step with the water to soften my nutella so that I was able to add it to the heavy cream that we whipped , lol lol I just hate throwing things away so I hope that it works and I have not yet tried the frozen part of it yet; since it is still in the freezer; but did try the mixture and the mixture alone was to die for so we shall see . I made a video of us putting it together it was definitely fun doing with my girls and they enjoyed it very much and are growing a big love for being in the kitchen which is nice, So God Bless and thank you for your awesome you tube channel. Best of Wishes in all that you do . will reply again ounce I try it tonight .
Tried it, fantastic! the extra thing that I added was smashed hazelnuts in the pan before adding the mixture. Looks amazing, tastes amazing. Thank you!
I made this about 3 times, and every time the nutella got hard. No need to throw it away. I just roll it up in little balls and drop it in the semifreddo. So, it's nutella chip semifreddo instead of nutella swirl. So good!!! Thanks Laura.
Xanxei I know you probably mean well and are trying to be helpful, but sometimes it's best to just let people do their own thing or find their own way when it comes to diet. The high protein/fat and low carb diet does not work and is not sustainable for everyone. For some the high carb and low fat is what works best for them.

Buonissima ricetta Laura, grazie!! Just a quick tip with the Nutella, even though my cream was cool it still seized up. Best thing to do is add the Nutella slowly in small amounts so it creams nicely. In my experience anyway x
I just realized you can use vanilla extract as a sub for the paste. Some places do not sell the paste because it is rarely used. Try wholefoods, but the extract should suffice

It happened me the same problem with the nutella. When I mix the nutella with the rest of the bowl the nutella was very hard... :((

where do you get your vanilla bean paste? I always find the pods only but not the actual paste which would be much more convenient! great recipe :)
