I made 2 recipes that did not call for eggs and when took it out of the freezer 4 hours later it was hard as a rock, not creamy, almost like frost?? I’m churning it now in my ice cream maker as I type this and see if it will turn to ice cream regardless. Your receipt called for a bigger amount of whole milk. I usually do a heavy cream and whole milk ratio of 2:1 but I followed your recipe instead. First time my custard base seemed off after leaving it in the fridge overnight.

This is such a difficult process all you need to make a simple icecream is milk sugar and vanilla extract for vanilla icecream or cocoa powder for chocolate icecream mix those together in a quart size bag and put ice and 6 tbsp of salt in gallon size bag put quart size bag in gallon size bag and shake for 10 - 15 minutes depends how hard tou like it

If you dun have the machine, you can freeze the mixture in 30 minutes intervals, using a whisk to whisk a few times in between intervals. It wont give the same texture but it pretty much works the same way
I used this a few years back and the espresso makes the chocolate more rich and my wife and kids said it test better than store bought. Going to make it again.

Wait, what? It doesn't get any easier than 8 ingredients?? Try nothing but 3 cups heavy cream, 1 C sugar and 1 C unsweetened chocolate. Heat to dissolve, cool and freeze in an ice cream machine. It doesn't get any easier than THAT. And if you want to go wild, throw in a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon for "Mexican style". Creamy, smooth and totally decadent!

you can put your ice cream mixture in the freezer, but you have to give it a good stir every 15 to 20 minutes, so I doesn't form ice crystals. It takes of course a lot of time for it to completely set (like 5 to 6 hours), but I guess it's worth it.

I am hugely lactose intolerant and I have a starving sweet tooth. Do you have ideas for Almond milk. Soymilk is not an option either.
