For those of you wondering why the quality increases when badwater is encountered; Compression works by basically taking the difference between 2 keyframes and blending them together, so when the keyframes are same or similar quality becomes clearer. Its not an intentional part of the ARG.

Scouts entire body filled with fear as he ran, faster than ever. He ran as fast as he could, trying to reach a safe place, but he never could have. Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I think there is someone controlling scout. My proof is that there is a HUD and the title. The title, “TF2 sawmill gameplay” implies that the scout couldn’t of posted this because he doesn’t know he’s in a game (at least is don’t think he does) and the entity that helped scout didn’t post this either because why would it call it gameplay. I think that the entity that helps scout doesn’t post any of the other videos like “passage” or the video after “broken TV” I think that the player controlling the scout is the one posting them as a cry of help. Thoughts?
this is genuinely horrifying because it implies that the red scout in these videos was once a regular tf2 player who just wanted to play a game of sawmill only to be captured by a gmod player and forced to watch helplessly as the character they could once control is trapped in someones gmod machinimas.
Having just found this channel, one takeaway I have with this first vid versus the rest of the series is how the presentation being more like a typical TF2 player as opposed to the "living ragdoll hostage" concept, but seems to get rather quickly dropped so far. Sadly that seems like a missed touch, because it would be interesting to play off more of a weird TF2/GMod gameplay collision; TF2 players somehow connecting into a GMod session and having their character hijacked by the GMod toolset, or if a GMod player somehow single-handedly took down a whole TF2 server worth of players. May not hit the same horror beat outside of isolation, and may take more work than a solo animation project, but there's a lot of potential thoughts here that this series so far has kinda glossed over for its own approach, which while good, could try for other things.
Now here's a cool detail i noticed. The entire video itself is low quality until the scout sees the Kleiner player, where the fuzziness clears for a moment before the scout runs again.
Basically, you can see Badwater and Heavy, Badwater Puts a TV in a table, Badwater sees Scout, and Scout started running from him, Badwater decides to follow him, Scout gets dragged by the Gravity Gun. And he used Scout, Heavy to make the video: "The Broken TV."
Just kill him again. . .? Scouts can kill each other easily and they have 125 health, the player has only 100, also, just bind k kill and when you think youre in trouble say farewell cruel world

I have a theory that the door in ''Passage'' was a type of underground train station in gmod where the player could go to one place and another which means that the scout possibly could have gone to GM_Construct unknowlingly but once the scout learned how to control it he also gained a ability when he could sense that the player was coming, and with that he had the ability to swiftly run away

Then this would have been a true ARG, rather than ARG lite.
the way the scattergun moves means this is (probably) supposed to be an early pre release 2007 version of tf2 since after release they removed the wweapons moving alongside the camera like in half life 2, you could see the weapons like his in beta tf2 videos. plus while running, the weapons bob also like in half lie 2, just like in the tf2 beta!

I think that's how video compression works. When the scene doesn't change, encoder has more time to refine the details
