I've watched this video many times since 2016. I watch it every now and then to get me motivated and inspired on projects. The level of visual craft and photography skill involved in capturing over so many years is not unnoticed, a true piece of art. So glad you stuck with it... it's inspirational. The sound design is the cherry on the cake... it's perfect... keeps me coming back. Good work Keith.
Just got linked this by a friend. I honestly can't describe how impressive this is with words. I dream one day to be able to shadow you for a day or two just to gain insight and learn a fragment of your craftsmanship.
My mouth dropped open.....and stayed there.........I can only dream of being as good as you. It is incredible/mindblowing/beautiful and the amount of time and patience you have got for a project like this, then edited....my hat is off to you sir.
I knew staying subscribed even though there was nothing new for ages would be worth it. I normally don't make it through half of the time lapses out there but this is truly, truly beautiful.
I can't stop watch. this is one of the best things I have ever seen. true art. I lived there in 1969 and it looks a bit different now. where has all the washing gone
Wow. As a timelapser myself I've seen a lot of videos and this is seriously the most mesmerizing timelapse compilation I've ever seen. Some of transitions were just so seamless and smooth and gave off this vibe that this was almost from another world!
Excellent. I had a chance to live in Singapore during 2016, and have seen so many well done things there. But this video...is breathtaking. Simply it is a concentrate of Singapore. Who has never been there, this is excellent starting point to "smell" what it is like there. You had a hard work and spent so may hours to create your project. Thank you very much, you are bringing me back my memories. This could be an official video for that island or, at least, one of them. Thank you very much again and stay safe during this dangerous times (Apr 13th, 2020)
Keith Loutit is the Timelapse-God! Lion City I is stunning as well and this is just AWESOME! How is it even possible to capture the growth of this city in such a special way! Really: To capture the process of the buildings must used so many years and the post production? > So much filigree work! I can not understand, how he combined this with the fantastic camera movements, great effects and the stunning music - so invariably well done! I mean, come on: Cranes are moving and the camera too? Is he flying for days meter after meter? 3:53 or 4:08! CRAZY!
Keith, I wish you and your family prosperity and fulfillment. You've elevated the art to a new level with this selfless project, truly inspiring. I watch this video daily and remain moved by the quality of your work. A timeless masterpiece.
Amazing! You must have spend a lot of time on this. I was waiting for The Lion City II, in fact I have saved The Lion City I on my laptop and I watch it sometimes, i'm addict to your videos :p
Keep pushing the boundaries Keith, you're in a league of your own! Unbelievable planning and execution for this to come to fruition. Credit due also to the music producer, what a great track to compliment it! Looking forward to your next masterpiece.
Congratulations on an absolutely stunning video, brilliant in fact. After 3 years and a million photos it just goes to show good things come to those who wait. :)
awesome... the waltz of the construction cranes. I can really relate to the changes in the island's landscape and skylines almost on a daily basis. for the record, i hate how untouched lands are been decimated in the name of progress. even though am a local, increasingly I feel unsettled by the incredible changes happening around me. I especially love how you have captured the stormy clouds. the whole film has that bit of Blade Runner feel to it.
the quality and dedication in this video is surreal, like the surreality that you have no more than 3000 subs..

just to clarify this is way beyond anything ever seen...this is years of hard dedication and very great technical set of skills. I cannot explain how great your videos are, they are truly inspiring. Good job sir!
This piece of work is utterly stunning! But Keith could you tell us more about how much compositing and additional vfx work you've done on this? I'd be curious which elements have been added subsequently..?! ;)
Truly awesome stuff. Great techniques and cinematography. The planning and executing the timelapse video shooting must had taken a lot of effort and time, but the end results are just brilliant!
Ketih this is unlike anything i've seen. I love doing timelapses, but mine doesn't compare. its amazing the amount of work and years of shooting gives you a near 5min video, crazy stuff. Really refreshing! What camera's did you use if i may ask? D810?
5 years later this is still the best timelapse video I've ever seen. Timeless.
Thanks Jonathan
To this day, this is still my favorite time lapse video I have ever seen. I’m blown away every time I watch this
