@@ramasamy4787 the score is still from scratch. When you compose, unless you are directly alluding that other piece by copying the exact music when drawing the score, it's considered original. Inspiration and reference are quite different in composing. What you linked does have similar approaches in rhythm and progression, but I'd still say 100% of the Interstellar score is original. As cliché as it sounds, when you know you KNOW. You don't need a degree to prove you're good at your craft: you just prove it all over again, every single day.
Hans Zimmer is a master. He should be up there with the classical giants. This song is so double edged. There's hope. But also despair. Life vs. Extermination. And the struggle humans go through. Love vs. Hate. What is the best truth for you? Compared to everyone else? It's an amazing song.
So emotional ... my eyes are full of tears, I just feel the pressure in my chest. I know most people understand what I'm talking about. Fantastically !
Hans Zimmer is an extraordinary composer, one day he will be viewed as a rightful heir to Beethoven, Bach, The Beatles, Glass, Strauss, etc.His brilliance is timeless.
Bach & Beethoven ? Sorry but those two are on a completely different level entirely. Zimmer himself would be the first to admit that. Richard Strauss too.
Zimmerstellar. Or when a composer catches perfectly the deepest meaning of a story of microscopic human beings transcending logic, time and space. Goosebumpingly priceless.
When I saw interstellar, I came out of the theater, it was a clear, cloudless night. The milkyway shone . I immediately phoned my son. I told him he HAD to go see the movie. I told him it was like the time we went whale watching and how small and insignificant I felt. This sound track, this work still makes me feel small, but stirs in me a the same sense of wonder and curiosity I witnessed in my children. The sense of what humanity can be, what we strive to be. This sound track ... Thank you Hans Zimmer
In the dimensions of time, space mankind is even less then a tiny grain of sand... We believe we're smart, yet we know nothing about what is to come those days and aeons ahead of us...
The whole soundtrack has to go down as one of the best movie scores ever created. Actually, that's beyond music. It transcends reality. It shreds you to pieces and then brings you back together. A feeling that I can't describe.
I highly doubt I can ever find a movie as beautiful as Interstellar. Was it because the music was so enchanting? Was it because I love the mystery behind space? The plot? Or the incredible actors and actresses in the movie? I’ll never know.
While scrolling through these comments I tried to think of a way to describe how this music makes me feel. As you said, it’s a feeling that I can’t describe. And I’m not sure if it’s good or bad, I’m not sure it can be expressed in those terms. But it does make me feel.
I usually come home after 9-10 hrs of work, take a shower then dinner. I turn on Hans Zimmer interstellar masterpiece while collapsing on my sofa! That soundtrack takes me to another galaxy! It's so calming, hypnotizing and very soothing indeed.
There should be a redo of the Oscar's and this film should sweep the board. It's a masterpiece. Probably the best film ever made in terms of having everything.
to me it looked like the magnificent soundtrack had nothing to deal with the film, which is a rather poor cinematographic achievement. So childish in some of its parts

i cry every time i hear this soundrack - this absolute masterpiece by Hans Zimmer. I feel priveleged and proud to live in a time when he creates history. Thank you.
I was lucky enough to hear the Royal Albert Hall organ perform the entire soundtrack over the film live, along with zimmer and his orchestra, some years ago, along with talks from Kip Thorne, Caine, Hawking, Zimmer, Cox and Nolan. I think about it every few days and sometimes wonder if it was a dream. This really was our generation’s 2001 - but honed and refined. I still think the switch to the romantic theme as Cooper locks eyes with Brand and detaches is one of the single greatest moments of film and music coming together too.
I've been thinking this (the Coop/Brand scene when he detaches) since I first saw the movie on release and it feels amazing to know someone shares that oppinion. It's cinema perfection.

In my opinion this is one of the greatest film sound tracks ever made. I've listened to it hundreds of times but it still gives me goosebumps and triggers so many emotions. Just beautiful.
The kind of soundtrack that sticks with you for many many years if not your entire life. Hearing this gives me emotions and feelings I can't really explain but it's a wide spectrum of feelings. Maybe that's why it's so powerful, it truly can take you to anyplace your mind allows. Chills every time.
I've been listening to music for nearly 10 years now, and I think that the film and soundtrack of Interstellar were not designed by humans in the same order as other humans. It's so excellent from start to finish, every detailed element of the soundtrack or the film is in its place.
If you think it's the kind of excellence a little beyond even human genius, then you are right. The Holy Spirit does this kind of stuff - constantly - including in the 21st century, including through technology. He wants to encourage us to reach the love and truth of God in the universe. Basically what the movie was about, of course focused on the Salvation of humanity (again!!!)
Getting closer and closer to that dramatic musical climax at the end makes me cry like a baby every single time. That masterpiece is such a gift to our generation!
Does anyone else feel a sense of calmness in Zimmer's music? I know his orchestral compositions are pretty heavy at times but that man knows how to strike every chord of emotion in his music. I still haven't found the name of the exact feeling I get when listening to this specific track but it definitely hits me differently every time. Let me know what emotions this song makes you feel, I'm genuinely curious! All the love
believe the word you're looking for is Awe. or terror. or fear. or any of the other amazing things this man can do with music. sends shivers down your spine.
The film tells us that LOVE matters in the universe - so much indeed that it can trump the laws of physics. The film makes me cry for three reasons (because the Earth is dying and is fed up with human beings; but also because that state of affairs is so intolerable - to God - that He finds a way (bridged by love) for future human beings to influence the past, probably several times; and also because I am a father with a daughter and the strength of that love is known, even as we can only speculate at the ecstasy-agony of the daughter waiting her whole life for the father to keep his promise). The solutions (one found by the father and one by the daughter) are both nevertheless LESS perfect than the original one of us living on the amazing Earth. But then, when we were thrown out of the Garden of Eden, we had less perfection, less protection, but more freedom to act - to choose to be good and to do our best or not. The music is about all of those things, but a religious person (and more so a Born-Again like me) is going to see the Holy Spirit in the music, which means it is sad-happy-healing-inspiring-true-cleansing-advocating-supporting-sustaining-forgiving-enlightening all at the same time. No surprise that we cannot fully put our finger on what we are feeling, even as we know that - for the Holy Spirit as the inspirer of transcendent human genius - all of those emotions are ONE - just variations on the theme of endless love and truth, which the Paraclete is. BTW, as we see now from Putin and his hideous lackeys, evil is not just less good and more bad than good, it is also more random, chaotic, devoid of meaning and sense and value. In contrast, good and beauty and truth in the universe have meaning and order, and we see that in the film, just as we hear it in the stunningly beautiful music. NOTHING IS BY CHANCE...
I'd say interstellar is literally one of the best movies ever made. It's not just about space or saving the world; it's really about the bond between a father and daughter, and how that love can stretch across time and space.
This music transcends categorization. It is above classical, modern, jazz, rap, soul and all the other kinds. It falls into a category of its own. Let us just call it an international treasure.
I've watched the movie once, but I can't count how many times I've listened to the music. I love this music. I love watching covers of this music. Thanks for the video!

Some people were put on this Earth for greatness. Hans Zimmer was one of them. Seeing him so passionately and knowing and feeling that this came from his heart and mind is incredible.
I don't usually get upset when the commercials cut off the video but in this case I got pretty mad when the commercial cut it off. This song is a masterpiece.
This track always makes me think of the way he talked about “waking up on the shore of your own subconscious”… the things we convince ourselves of in our attempts to find happiness, and the weariness that we all feel in trying to determine our most “real” reality. And of course, the concept of never knowing which path is right until you make a choice. Love love love the poignance of it. ❤

How is it even impossible to create something like this from scratch. Hans Zimmer is a legend.
Saudações, terráqueos Hans zimmer, conexão perfeita gratidão universo...❤😂😊❤❤❤❤❤
Non credo ci sia alcun dubbio su questo. E' una persona straordinaria !
I have thought that so many times
This music may not be from scratch..
ua-cam.com/video/cS3m6v0F4Ow/v-deo.html
The theme music of this Indian film is very close to interstellar score.. May be Zimmer inspired from this.
They're different enough apart that I'd consider it coincidence over direct inspiration.

Hans Zimmer is a master. He should be up there with the classical giants. This song is so double edged. There's hope. But also despair. Life vs. Extermination. And the struggle humans go through. Love vs. Hate. What is the best truth for you? Compared to everyone else? It's an amazing song.

Interstellar is a great movie that keeps being great. Like Shawshank Redemption
it returns to my screen in front of the couch about once every couple months.
I was stupid enough to not watch it in the cinema.
It's majestic piece of Art (with Caps on)

Hans Zimmer is an extraordinary composer, one day he will be viewed as a rightful heir to Beethoven, Bach, The Beatles, Glass, Strauss, etc.His brilliance is timeless.
The Beatles? Lol please.
Paul Roige Clever. And that's an original. ZIMMERSTELLAR. ✨

100% agree, I felt like I was starting a new life when I walked out of the cinema... it changed me somehow.
What a wonderful comment😊🌌
In the dimensions of time, space mankind is even less then a tiny grain of sand... We believe we're smart, yet we know nothing about what is to come those days and aeons ahead of us...
L'une des meilleures BO de tous les temps....
The whole soundtrack has to go down as one of the best movie scores ever created. Actually, that's beyond music. It transcends reality. It shreds you to pieces and then brings you back together. A feeling that I can't describe.
Sooo well said dear so well.
You described it beautifully.
I usually come home after 9-10 hrs of work, take a shower then dinner. I turn on Hans Zimmer interstellar masterpiece while collapsing on my sofa! That soundtrack takes me to another galaxy! It's so calming, hypnotizing and very soothing indeed.
god bless you🤗

Just saw this movie last night and am blown away. Can’t stop thinking about it.
@@androumeda9538did you actually watch the film? It's integral to the movie
@@InfiniteMonkey888 Yes unfortunately I had to watch the movie all through to the end because I was not alone and it would not be polite to walk away from the movie theatre. But the only good thing I remember of that experience is actually the soundtrack. All the rest sounded very stereotyped and hollywoodian to say the least
You don't know anything about the music, you barely notice it in movies. But this piece resonates with you and your ears so well, that it carves itself into your brain. And the next time you hear it in pop culture anywhere, you just know it's 'this Interstellar music'. And that's how you know it's a masterpiece.
I respect your feelings. For me the music was undeniably a part of the whole experience. It was visceral and relentless.
@@StephenOwenAgreed. Not to sound cliche but the score was as much of a character in Interstellar as the landscape was a character in The Revenant.

I paint to this music ❤😢
I was there too, great night, remember it every so often and am still blown away by the whole experience

Hans Zimmer Live in Prague is a must watch, one of the greatest concert recordings I’ve seen.

Him, Howard Shore, John Williams, and Ramin Dawanji, are so incredible. We're certainly blessed to live with their world.
