One of the best looking trucks on the market in my humble opinion
Next to the Ram 2500
It’s sure is a nice interior but the Ram Longhorn Limited is still the best interior in an HD truck IMO. However, since they removed the wood trim off the steering wheel the 23’s are not as nice as the 21-22’s. I love the exterior looks of the GMC almost as much as my RAM. Very rugged but classy…
@HalfShell not sure what you are referring to. I have plenty of room in my MegaCab & I’m 6’3” 270 lbs. I’ve also driven a 22 F350 and didn’t see much difference
@@Over_the_Hill_RV_Rookies The Denali Ultimate interior is every bit as nice as the Ram Limited, if not better.
After taxes and fees, that truck with that trailer is up over $200k. Beautiful rigs. Congrats to anyone who can afford it!
I just got mine delivered yesterday and all I have to say is this thing is beyond amazing!!!!
GMC is hitting it out of the park with the AT4, AT4X, and Denali packages for sure. We love our '23 AT4
My butt was being punished by these seats😭
I just picked up my 2024 SRW 3500 Ultimate today. Tricoat white and it’s beautiful!!,
Gorgeous truck! My only complaint (all manufacturers) are factory wheels. I feel they could do better on appearance.
Very well done, thorough review of this awesome truck. As I have been waiting since April for delivery of mine I am making do with watching every available review I can find! :) Thanks!
Wow JD! It's like you read my comment the other day and made this video just for me. What a sharp looking truck. This is what I'm ordering. Take care.
Thanks for the update and keep up the good work!
You are one of my favorite commentators! What you say is very palatable and digestible😮
Wow! I love this truck! Love it! I do wish they gave you 2 of every type of power outlet, so if my husband and I both had, say, a USBC charger, we could both charge our devices at the same time. And I agree with your suggestions about power outlets and storage spaces. Other than that, this is my dream truck! Though i would probably upgrade to a 3500.
Beautiful truck. Just loved the looks and that interior is amazing
2900+ payload on a 100% loaded diesel 2500 is pretty amazing, especially since this truck has a GVWR lower than the one on my less-featured 1-ton diesel but only 400 lbs less payload. Most 3/4-tons that are loaded with a diesel have a payload in the low-mid to mid (if you're lucky) 2000lb range.
I've driven these and I will say what a huge improvement on the interior over the old 2023
Now that’s a nice truck
I really like the grey with the black trim. I agree with you about the rear under seat storage.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL TRUCK
One of the best aftermarket additions to any 2500 or 3500 is the Timbren SES. Absolutely love it on my 2021 2500 Duramax.
I bought Sumo Springs. About the same thing, I believe. Work great also.
I’ve removed the back seat storage bin in my last two trucks since my dogs are back there. The removal of the 12 volt outlet is a colossal mistake. I mentioned this to my sales guy. He asked when was the last time I needed it. To his credit, I didn’t know. However I needed to use one a few days later.
I pick my Ultimate up first week of July. I ordered 1 ton. I have the 3.0 right now and like driving GMC
I love your evaluations, they are informative and fair, my only problem is the manufacturer only provides the very best to you which I think is not the average trucks people buy. I know you don’t have any control over what they send you, maybe a hint to the manufacturer that the average model would be more beneficial to their sales.
JD you are in danger of losing your Fird fanboy status.
What’s fird?
After dealing with the L5P Duramax issues having power surges and the Allison needing multiple harnesses and updates the truck was in the shop more than it could be used.
Lol
Love the truck. Great review
I'm glad to hear you say it's a good truck for towing "travel trailers". The problem with 3/4 ton diesels with 4 wd and all the luxury goodies is that your payload won't work with most 5th wheels of any size. You have to move up to the 1 ton, or go with the gas engine if even that gives you enough payload.
Agreed, I already had a 3/4 ton truck when I decided to buy a 5th wheel and I was limited to a 29 ft 5th wheel that was 6500 lbs dry weight. My lariat f250 diesel with 4WD only has 2300 lbs payload. I’m not sure why anyone buys a 3/4 ton truck instead of a 1-ton truck even if they don’t think they’ll ever tow. You never know and if you do tow you will be happy you have a 1-ton.
@@fordguy61mi Yeah, if you're going to spend a $million on a 3/4 ton, you might as well spend a $million + $100 on a one ton.
I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on truck if I had it to spend, it’s going to lose 20% of the price as soon as you drive off the lot.
@@robertpulliam9973 Agree. My Toyota dealer has a 2022 Chevy 1 ton diesel on the lot with all the options. $78,999. Don’t know how many miles. They have these types and Dodge’s on their lot quite often. I don’t think they are trade-ins. Probably buy them at auction.
I just checked a 2024 Chevrolet 2500 LTZ loaded (so extra weight) on a dealer lot and payload was 3,065 lbs with max pin weight of 5th wheel of 2865. Now given payload minus passengers and gear the actual max pin would be more like 2300. Max 5th wheel capacity is listed as 19,100. Overall with those numbers I’ve found a decent number of 5th wheel options.
I now own one I had a black one and hit a deer so I traded it with the insurance check and bought another one Downpour metallic I love it and have a lot of positive comments from people who look at it
Nice looking truck but dang 100 grand. Are you nuts ?.
Someone has not paid attention to pricing it appears. Not one of the top 3 has trucks cheap anymore.
Yes I love that mirror also , it’s so convenient, I wish it was also used for the invisible trailer package. I have this package for towing my travel trailer but the image is on the lower screen which I find a little inconvenient. I’m looking down to see what’s following behind my trailer and find this to be a little distracting as opposed to just looking at it in the rear view mirror. The rear view mirror would be much safer and always viewable and would free up the information on the lower screen.
Love this Truck 👍👍
Nice truck I'd def take that set up duramax with a Alison im drooling 🤤
The inside of the cab is awesome
I'm loving my '24 3500 crew cab Diesel AT4
Beautiful truck!
You can order over size storage bins for under rear seats.
2weeks in my 24 Ultimate with Titanium Rush with 8ft bed floats like Cadillac.
GM nail it. So far so good love this truck. Massage chairs Wow! I haven't mentioned to wife yet 😂 😂
Best looking truck
I ordered can't wait
Very nice truck!!!
I love the New 2024 GMC 2500hd SIERRA Denali
Love everything about the truck, except for those hideous wheels !
It is a beauty. I wish you could get the ultimate in all black interior or a two tone black.
I always find it interesting that the most expensive trucks have the fewest exterior color options.
Nice to see a Denali in a color other than black.
I cant believe the specs on that, so much higher then trucks of yesteryear! my only gripes are the brake control seems like its not near any other controls , and how long of extension you gonna need to plug a 4way trailer inside the bed...Glad they still have full size spare tires though
I want it in the at4 package but at the same time I am considering the ultimate as well
🔥 🔥 🔥
I love the location of the wireless charging..... the ONLY reason I'm not trading in my 2023 Yukon for this, is Super Cruise! I'll never give that feature up :D
It’ll be interesting to see if you think the seats are any more comfortable than your 1500. Hopefully they’ve improved things for 2024 (and Ultimate).
I would also like to know this
I love the new GM interior
Love the truck but i like to point out a couple of nit picks of mine. One is why no 12v outlets? I would definitely need to add one. Second is the start/stop button - unnecessary big which forced relocation of the trailer brake controller to the console. I like the console on the lower trim levels and Chevys, a lot better as it seems more useful
Great payload for the highest trim with the diesel engine. Nice to see a higher GVWR
And 4x4 to that. I think dually 3500 from 2011 has a 6300+ payload or 3660+ to be exact.
Nice truck. I think the blank switch is for the PTO.
❤❤❤ beautiful
What about super cruise in the 2024 ultimate? I thought that was coming in 2024?
It is a beautiful truck. I have a 22 Silverado 3500 HD SRW 4wd Crew Cab LT with the Duramax. It has leather and a fair amount of options. My payload is 4086lbs. I paid $64k. I could not justify buying the High Country or Denali and spending an additional $30-35k for ostensibly the same truck for my needs. To each their own as it is their money and they are free to spend it how they see fit.
There is one like that at the Toyota dealer here. $79,999. Ridiculous, but I’d like to have it at a reasonable price.
Them high trim trucks loses some capacity in payload/towing and mpgs will decrease but the price of the model increase, they may look good but it will burn your wallet unless you the big Boss with the big business.
Wow! What a gorgeous truck! QUESTION: Are the 1500 Denali and the 2500 Denali the same length?
JD, I have a 2022 Silverado 2500hd LT, with the same powertrain with slightly less torque and horsepower and the cargo capacity is 3,091 lbs and a CGVWR of 26,000 lbs. Why does this truck have CGVWR of 27,500 lbs?
What is the color? Love the truck and the hi-def video is excellent. Did I miss the Heads Up display?
Nice
For that kind of money it would be nice if the new chrome grill match the Chrome on the rest of the truck to different colors
Hopefully next year they fix the side chrome to match the grill.
How many times do you have to fill up that Def? I’m new to diesels.
Thanks
Any difference in seat comfort between the standard Denali and the Denali Ultimate?
My 2023, that last button is to turn off the auto deploy running boards. Incase they are frozen with ice, or similar. Surprised they removed that functionality.
I agree. On my '23, I use that feature a lot, if I'm going to be getting in and out of the truck while it's parked (camping, loading, etc.).
I’m a ford guy, but I would take this over the new super duty. Better looking truck🤷♂️
Better looking inside and out without a doubt!
Definitely a good looking truck and I know this sounds crazy but compared to the competition it’s not a bad value. Now of course $94,000 is A LOT of money. But that has basically every option.
This one didn’t have it, but for 2024 GM has a max towing package for 2500s that essentially makes them a slightly derated 3500 SRW. They share the rear suspension and bigger ring gear (12” as compared to 11.5” for a standard 2500) and get a bump in GVWR (up to 11,750
I think).
It’s my opinion they are doing this to avoid exceeding 26,000 GCWR for the truck and say a standard 14,000 GVWR equipment trailer.
Anyways, it’s a good package to get on a 2500 because it will give you roughly 400 more pounds of payload and keep the truck under 12,000 GVWR.
I may end up with AT4 or Denali and I’m not sure Ford is actually going to build the truck I’ve had on order since 10/28/22. I need truck in November. You would have thought over a year of lead time would be enough.
Make sure you check that exhaust break for us 😉 thank you
They are available but even if you pay cash, they do not want to give you a price. My 2022 has the Ultimate package. They just did not put the special grill or larger screen in the HDs back then. I like the engine and towing improvements but other than that, I prefer the 2022wheels and headlights.
No lift on AT4 from factory.
I bet that blank is for the AT4X selectable rear locker.
Love everything but the wheels
I don’t understand why manufacturers have badge everything: GMC Denali HD2500 Allison transmission duramax 6.6 diesel ultimate. Also what is up with the flower power wheels?
Best looking truck on market. Im a ram guy. Now whats quality like....
On the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 AT4 Why only 2 cup holders instead of 4 ... how many cup holders should there be ...Also why doesn't GMC offer rear air suspension like the ram 3500 hd and whats the difference between a 2500 n 3500 4wd.... is the rear axle bigger in size ,,thanks
GM still uses leafs as opposed to air suspension, less can go wrong and GM 2500 series upgrade the rear leafs with a overload leaf to accommodate the 3500 payload.
Are the lights on the fenders real or just reflectors? Thanks 🙏 keep it up 👍
Real.
It is a very nice Truck, but it should be for $94 +!! It's AMAZING how much these Trucks have become so EXPENSIVE!
I live in aus I really like American trucks to own one of these after imported and right hand conversion the price wld go of to the roof, wish the price could be softer for everyone
The placement of the trailer break assist throws me off could of been an extra set of cup holders. And hate how the gear shifter blocks the screen
Better interior than my Maserati Levante Modena.
How does it ride? I passed on the 2023 models b/c they were so stiff and unforgiving, especially the seats. I get that's a price you pay for so much payload capacity, but my 2018 is much more comfortable.
2weeks in my 24 Denali Ultimate, u will not be disappointed at all. I purchased mines with 8ft bed with Titanium Rush. It rides like a Cadillac and fast and massage chairs wow!
Very nice truck. Not a fan of the wheels though, they remind me of the old Hotwheels toy cars 😁
Sterling gray or thunderstorm gray?
That 2500 is closer to the 3500 SRW of the other manufactures. My 3500SRW has a 12K GVW with a 4342# payload for a diesel. My 2018 Ram has both diesel and DEF fill in the same spot.
What about the the upgrade switches? Where or are there any?
It's got 'em, GM just kinda hides theirs in the button strip at center-dash.
It's really time for GM to bring out a nice Realm
Just looked at one at my local dealership 93k sticker
I have had one of these for almost three weeks and it’s incredible! Mine has max tow and camper front springs and rides surprisingly well. I have dual alternators, painted fenders and upgraded wheels and it’s the truck of my dreams… It was $4,500 to put tags on it though 🥴
So what’s the difference between a 2500 with max tow and a 3500? It seems like that mainly puts 3500 suspension on the 2500. What was the decision making process for going one way or the other. Genuinely curious.
@@ArkansaDave1 Honestly, I bought the truck off the lot so didn’t order it that way, but my understanding is it gives the 2500 a higher safety margin for large loads but it doesn’t encroach on the 3500 because it isn’t officially rated for as high a payload. This circumvents extra DOT requirements that the 3500 has to follow.
Dang you got one off the lot when my 3500 I ordered in January still hasn’t arrived. What is your payload? I thought the max tow got it real close to 3500 payload.
@@ArkansaDave1 I actually had a AT4 on order for a year with no build date in sight and a friend happened to see this at another dealer so I bought this and cancelled my original order… According to the door sticker my GCWR is 30,000lbs, Max Payload is 3,315lbs, Conventional TWR 20,000lbs, Gooseneck TWR 21,600lbs
Beautiful truck! Very expensive though.
Still 4-pin connector in the bed instead of the bumper, and no camera connections in the bed for us fifth wheel camera users. And for $95K you would think they would have a sunglasses hold like they had in my 2016 Sierra Denali. At least it looks like it comes with the garage door programmable button.
Thunderstorm Gray?
needs better looking wheels. Do they even have power tilt/telescope wheel?
I think that's a beautiful and well appointed Truck. Not a fan of a diesel for an Off-road vehicle (too heavy). But all in all, that's a great value at $75k, and not a penny more.
Are you saying this truck starts at a trim you want for $75k? Cuz in the video the Monroney says it's $94k MSRP.
@@SurelyYewJest no. I'm saying that truck isn't worth what they're asking for it.
@@randylester1219 OK, why do you (and many others) insist it's not worth the asking price? I've read this kind of comment so many times and I haven't gotten an explanation yet.
@@SurelyYewJest I guess maybe I should have said, To me it isn't worth that price. Mainly because I have a good truck. But also that same truck basically with the options 4 years ago was roughly $75 $80k. Now with options it's $125k. Sorry but the Made Up Inflation the world 🌎 has seen doesn't equate to the working class NEEDing to justify those 40-45% increases. For me, Ain't Gonna Happen. I'll just never buy another New Vehicle.
I want one. My dream truck. Wonder what it runs in price. Are you allowed to say
$94,000
What color is the truck?
Nice truck not sure I like that dark chrome I like going to chrome shops so .
Also car show goer in me is not likeing that kinda half baked shiny chrome and dark chrome mixed look.
Especially at what those go for $.
I guess while I am on a slight tirade .
Those flippin black splash guards around the wheel wells drop 80k$ and get the same one as on the base work truck at least have them factory color matched with with upper level trim .
I like the GM trucks more than Chevy.
Not Mt McKinley package. I’m old . Beautiful Chevy except the wheels but then I’m 73 😂
Big 3 have priced themselves out of the average person's reach. Similar to this in Canada was 108k
Very nice truck. $95k?
Would Love To see trailers for 1/2 ton SUV’s
Check Winnebago.
$94,000 is way too much money for the average family. I wish the towing capacity sticker would be required on all trucks. GM is going above and beyond on the sticker. It’s a beautiful truck but the number of people that can reasonably afford it is very limited.
It’s definitely a nice ride. Wouldn’t want to pay the price tho.
