This truck is horrible. Like hideous and dont understand how someone thinks this looks good. Lol like its laughable. This guy does cross-fit and voted for Biden for sure
If you're towing, the trailer brake is well placed. It's easily accessed in an emergency and not confused for anything else. As a father traveling with his kids, I'll prioritize safety over aesthetics any day.
I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 high country that is fully loaded and it actually does have the buttons on the back door to unlock it. I must of gotten lucky and found a golden gem lol
What I think GM should have done, is move the screen upwards to where the air vents are and put the air vents below the screen. Along with the screen put the button for power and volume in the top left corner of the screen. The home button should be centralized right under the screen where everyone has easy access. Being a family man myself I believe its just as important to have functionality for the family, as well as the driver.
The complaints seem pretentious on the surface…but I completely agree with needing more refinement in the interior of such an expensive vehicle. Quality is important of all trim levels, but the higher/highest trim levels should always have the best build quality. Product needs to match the price
If the infotainment screen is identical to the new 1500, you can actually make the maps full screen for sure on android auto, not sure why not on apple if just that application. If they changed that just for the heavy duty then thats a bummer
I have the 2021 screen I will say it may seem outdated however I found the Alexa and Google work all the time. the infotainment works every time easy to reach controls and full charging pad. It doesn't show fingerprints. I do love the new seats looks great.
One thing I’m always glad about these I hate videos is that it’s never more than 5 things and I can deal with that. but if it was 6 then I would definitely have a major problem.
jack, I completely see where you are coming from with this, I hope that GM gets the message!!! I think you tend to notice all the little things such as the sunroof button due to all the Audi's you have owned. As my Audi is 7 years older than that truck and has many of those features that the GM is missing...
Doing standard chrome was defiantly the best switch on this truck. Denali is chrome. Not having original chrome just doesn’t look like a Denali. Greta job man!
I’m commenting as the video goes lol. I like how you relate to being a father. Because I have a one year old and how your going down the list of things I like how you are relating to your son (family) with the functions of the truck. These are things that I never thought of but now know it’s a need lol.
My guess is the blank button all the way to the right will be the rear differential lock on the AT4x HD trucks. I have a ‘24 AT4 and it has the blank switch as well.
First face lift is always going to have potential issues. I get the points you are making, especially with that price tag you expect a bit more money and engineering spent on the little things. Hopefully they all get adjusted in coming year models
I love the ultimate interior just not a fan of the price. I’m looking at just a regular 2022-23 Denali HD,Might look at some 2020’s too if the mileage is below 50k. You love your 2020 duramax?
They should have used the vent as the Chevy silverado and layout of the infortatianment in line with the digital cluster and kept the gmc ac control and buttons the same below to make it different.
I also hate the rear door dont have the button but I love that you can fold the mirrors in from the handles because like you I hated having to reach in my pocket to fold the mirror and then I use the button to get in and then I have to push the button vs. The 24s push to lock and hold push to unlock and hold as you open the door. perfect!
13:20 to be honest having the trailer brake there is better than the previous gen, because when some asshole cuts in front of you and slams their brakes on while you're towing 15k pounds, you want that brake controller to be as quick and easy to grab as possible.
i hate that they still put carpet in trucks and i also hate the slider back window. we want a full size roll down back window, the truck beds should all be composite now too
I’m upset mine doesn’t lift the tailgate like the Chevy… I use the tailgate multiple times a day most the time my hands are full. Just a cool option that I wish my Denali had.
The new Ford F350 did that with CarPlay too. Only allowing you to use it half screen but they did an update and now it fills the whole screen so maybe GM will eventually do the same
My 2020 high country has all 4 handle buttons. My mom's 2016 LT Suburban has all 4. They are only adding the front two on the newer vehicles because are availability of the chips
the sunroof controls never needed to be more than 1 switch.. hell my 2010 cobalt ss is only one switch and i can slide it back from the tilt position.. smh
Jack you should try and get a set of front door handles they should fit in the back and have them wired into the same wires that works the front then you should have the button unlock door handles in the back
I have a 2022 GMC sierra 1500 Elevation Limited mine has the button on all 4 doors which is great have to agree. You have heated mirrors on that? Plus interior lighting could be better
Do you have a light in your lower glove box? I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 upper/ mid tier trim and there’s no light in my glove box. Like, why? I think there should be one in both compartments imo
I'd be willing to bet that the screen/shifter issue was done knowing they'd get enough whining to force the switch to the console shifter across the lineup. It'd be cheaper for them to have one shifter option from a manufacturing standpoint. As far as the interior quality, American auto makers have always been about quantity over quality. They know that brand loyalty will have the majority of their buyers coming back to buy the next same refreshed model with a few added bells and whistles. American vehicles just arent built to last especially in the northern states. Coming for a guy who's owned multiple Gm products throughout life.
Okay sunroof kinda ticked me off. My wife 2020 premier equinox 2.0 turbo I I can have tilt and just hit open and it'll close, then open... GMC lacked on the "conveniences" wowwwww
My 2012 Chrysler 300 S v6 has that back handle unlock with the keyless entry and it is really really convenient I would think that my girlfriends 2023 K5 GTLine would have that feature but it doesn’t 😢so I guess seeing that you have that same issue when you got to opening your truck well I guess that’s an option that the manufacturer is not doing quite yet
I know the upfitter switches were available before the refresh but the customer had to pay to have the wiring installed after the purchase so I would think they are still a option
What s the point of having a diesel in that truck? You aren’t going to be pulling or hauling any significant loads with that suspension and wheels. Because you can, I guess. More power to you.
Headlights look almost Ford F150 ish. Just about all of the new trucks in the 1500/2500/3500 lack quality and care. And with a nice equipped 2500/3500 just shy of a 100k that is pretty bad.
All great points. Glad you hit on the laziness carryover center console of the 1500. No need for the trailer brake down there and that void of a spot where the 1500 shifter was,... all so they can put in a big shiny new push start button. Chevy definitely did better at placement. One more issue I noticed is, no more 12v outlets. I use those regularly for working, towing and camping. Those weak USBs aren't going to power my trailer cameras & TPMS, air pump/compressor, random camping accessories and battery chargers (cell phones, kids iPads, power tools). I know it has a 120w outlet but I'm not wanting to start my truck every time.
2024 Chevy 2500 HD Duramax LTZ here. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS! Limp mode and dashboard lights at 200 miles. Happened several times after. Software update from dealer, hard shifting. 2200 miles, transmission leaking. This model year is a LEMON! DO NOT BUY! This thing has and MSRP of $87K! The dealer can give 2 craps about it.......The worst purchase of my life
I hate the 2022 GMC AT4 2500, this truck was the worst pick up I have ever owned. Paid the big bucks to own one, all that luxury and misfit interior. That truck spent more time with the local dealer than in my garage. It seemed I had to pay for visiting right to see what the dealer was doing to get it home. Nothing! You name a problem this truck suffered from it. After almost a year of dealer having possession I got fed up. They bought it back after my attorney explained the details of the LEMON LAWS!! This truck had only 6,478 miles most by the dealer. Never again make that mistake purchasing a GM product. No craftsmanship anywhere.
I’m sorry to hear that you bought one and supported those idiots. Now the world is going to change for the worse because poor engineering is excepted because it’s shiny
4 Things I can't stand... those four wheels and tires.
Agreed.
That’s 8 things sir
Looks like shit
My stocks on my 2024 duramax look better
It’s amazing how many girly boys love highway princess trucks.
The worst thing about that truck is those shitty tires and wheels!
this truck is a prime example of too much paint match. but...I guess it matches the rubber band tires perfectly lol
i feel like he ruined the truck to be honest. no offense to the owner everyones got their own taste
This truck is horrible. Like hideous and dont understand how someone thinks this looks good. Lol like its laughable. This guy does cross-fit and voted for Biden for sure
Im sorry i have to make another comment. This guy destroyed this truck. This guy is a cuck for sure
@@m1quatrohe absolutely ruined a beautiful truck lol.
6th thing is the silly wheels and tires... ITS A TRUCK
If you're towing, the trailer brake is well placed. It's easily accessed in an emergency and not confused for anything else. As a father traveling with his kids, I'll prioritize safety over aesthetics any day.
You actually destroyed it

Agreed. Screens always should be on top .Thats what I always hated about mine 2012 LML. Vents above screen LOL

100% agree with the back door button, the shifter and aux switch. But is not enough for me to switch to RAM or FORD.
One thing I’m always glad about these I hate videos is that it’s never more than 5 things and I can deal with that. but if it was 6 then I would definitely have a major problem.

Yeah, my '22 has the unlock buttons on the back doors, use that function all the time, would be seriously upset if that disappeared...

I feel like this new interior was rushed to keep up with ram and ford quality.
It’s not a total new redesign truck just a refresh just wait another 2 years to see the next total refresh and how great it’s gonna be
I agree
Still not there yet.
Fan boys will be fan boys

I reckon the 2026 model year will be EPIC for gmc. Here's why,
- the supply chain should be way more stable.
And Trump will have been one year into axing the rot? 😂 one can dream
I really don’t like the new dash/console layout and screen. I have a 22 AT4 HD and definitely prefer it.
i have a 23 AT4 and prefer the smaller screen also. can drive at night without being blasted by the bluelight screen
@@happyhealthyhumanThe screen can be dimmed. I felt the same way 48 hrs into owning my AT4.
Awesome video - how are you getting the headlights customized? Are they taken apart and painted or something similar?
My 2020 Silverado LT has the keyless entry buttons on all 4 of the doors… it’s a little odd the Denali ultimate doesn’t
I love the ultimate interior just not a fan of the price. I’m looking at just a regular 2022-23 Denali HD,Might look at some 2020’s too if the mileage is below 50k. You love your 2020 duramax?

So they did better in the chevys..? I think the trailer brake is on the left of the wheel, and the screen is higher up in the chevys..
The screen area is what the vendor gave gm. Usually Johnson controls. Same as with the sunroof issues
When I navigate using Google maps, it fills the entire area. It's glorious. Maybe it's an Apple issue? 🍎
And Laura Buick service department is so bad I wouldn’t even let them put air in my bicycle tires
The back up camera only takes up that amount of space due to resolution. any bigger and the quality of the image degrades.
the sunroof controls never needed to be more than 1 switch.. hell my 2010 cobalt ss is only one switch and i can slide it back from the tilt position.. smh

#1 , them city pimp wheels !!!
WTF. Is that the Wigger package?
I’m a Ram guy. But man, I like these new GMCs. I want one.
I am planning to buy one. Should I be worried about engine and transmission issues?
Why are you selling it??
Took the screen size from Ram, but didn't take the hint where you can use the entire screen.
That truck is so slick
I don't see nothing wrong with it
I agree they completely wasted the center console.
Hey Jack, any tips for someone wanting to start a channel??
Where it has Duramax, that would be cool to have Sean make a “DIRTYMAX” instead!
I would take it just like it is, I think it would pull my 33ft camper just fine.
GM is trying to make the ugliest trucks possible, because they know dummies will still buy them.
You sound like you drive a Nissan Frontier.
me personally would pick the stock grill/ chrome package
My 2012 Chrysler 300 S v6 has that back handle unlock with the keyless entry and it is really really convenient I would think that my girlfriends 2023 K5 GTLine would have that feature but it doesn’t 😢so I guess seeing that you have that same issue when you got to opening your truck well I guess that’s an option that the manufacturer is not doing quite yet
I have a question about powder coating. Will powder coating run like paint if it gets put on to much in one spot or would that be the clear coat?
It can depending on the shape of the part and how much powder is applied
You really have bad OCD just like me 😂 Congratulations on your baby on the way ❤
I think the home button can be moved up? drag and drop?
I love the Vader chrome and regular chrome especially on the titanium rush metallic Color I ordered.
Mine... The Speedometer is on the wrong side of the cluster
I'm digging the Yeti peacemaker 😉
perfect position ngl
Such a sweet truck.
Is Canada included in these give aways?
Upfitter switches are still available on Chevy I don’t know why they aren’t available on gmc.
I love the vadar crome
You mean the company that said “we don’t care about 70% of our user base” when they got rid of Car Play in their vehicles misses details? 😮
In all reality I don’t think people of really picky when it comes to trucks, expensive or not their main use is for work
6th thing i cant stand are those wheels and tires!!!
I know the upfitter switches were available before the refresh but the customer had to pay to have the wiring installed after the purchase so I would think they are still a option
GM has upfitter switches? As a accessory from dealer? I would be interested in these. I have 17’ 2500

Did gmc finally add the automatic closing tailgate like the high country ?
No but it needs it
Such a difficulty to deal with the sun roof
Yeah business pickup is depreciated over 5 years. Not one year. Nope.

2024 superduty dually in the background?
The riding would be on the top of my list
I like the Vader chrome , it’s the future..,
What lift you have on this truck and tires ?
My 2020 High county has buttons on all four doors!!!
If you don’t like your GMC truck I’ll take it!
when are you gonna do a 1500 duramax?
Are you selling this new truck and the dually to invest it into real estate??
@max-jc4wq it's for sale at LRA along with the King Ranch F450 he debuted not long ago
@@max-jc4wq they are both for sale on LRA
so do you hate the ford limiteds too bc its the same concept lol i think u missed the point of the ultimate
Hey gotta question what was the name of your truck that your giving away
2018 Mega cab dually longhorn with a gf6 mega cab. I have one personally with a secend gen swap. Best tow rig hands down
Give me the Ford super duty and im soo happy, you can jeep that GMC thang
No cigarette lighter for radar / recording camera and also the seats are not comfortable JS
For 100k truck I would hope that it would have a panoramic sun roof
Well, one thing i cant stand are the wheels and tires... just saying.
Has anyone made some parts fall off these trucks yet?
The wheels…
I’m sorry to hear that you bought one and supported those idiots.
