He retired. Bowman drives the 48 car now. JJ races in indycar but only the road courses.

Holy moly Jimmie! We watched Indy races and I told my hubby takes more to drive those cars around a track than a Nascar car. Now, don't get me wrong, you can drive the wheels off any car, you proved it 7 times. I admire you😊 you be safe and show them how a 7 time champ in Nascar can drive these type of cars ❤️😉😄👍🙏

This is the kind of thing I overlooked. Sure JJ, you've always been part of the top of fitness for NASCAR drivers, if not the top. But Much like how a F1 driver will shift their workout from super G-Load focus to more upper body strength, it's interesting to see your shift from one type of cardio to another.

not really. F1 drivers still focus more on G-loads. In fact, Romain Grosjean had to put on bunch of muscle coming from F1 cuz the IndyCar is far more physically demanding than an F1 car. you dont need the upper body strength to drive an F1 car. They need a strong neck and to be as lean as possible. IndyCar drivers look like body builders next to F1 drivers, who look like track runners.
