A member of the 1970 Marshall Football Team has passed away. Pete Naputano #84 died on January 7, 2024 from parkinson's disease. Pete did not make the fateful trip because he was injured. He spent the last two years in a nursing home. In his will he wanted his ashes spread with his six unidentified teammates and coach. Spring Hill Cemetery refuses to do this and wants to charge $5,500.00 to bury his ashes and place a bronze plaque. Some kind of justice for a dedicated teammate.
My Friend Tyler Bartrams Grandpa Kenny Grant eventually ended up with the Fairfield SCOREBOARD in His Business Parking Lot of the Gino's Pub Huntington... Kenny Passed Away earlier this Year... I Hope The Family Keeps the SCOREBOARD Up and continues to take care of it.
