      Yeah, this is the direction new vehicles are moving. 80% of new cars in the US have this refrigerant with more adding it every year. Eventually all with have this as is the case in Europe and 134a won't be used.

    Question to AC PRO, after screw on the can and hookup the coupler to the low-pressure port, there's air in the hose, how do I purge that air before squeeze the trigger? Don't want to push those air into the system and have issues later on.

    Fixed the A/C problem on my 2018 Honda CR-V. The R-1234yf product was 3 times the cost of the 134a, but way cheaper (and easier) than going to my Honda dealer. Still have half a can of refrigerant in case I need to recharge again. 👍👍

    If you have a 2016 Honda like me get this R-1234yf can because it works! Do not get the other can because the hose will not fit the lower pressure pipe & you will waste your money. It cooled my car down instantly & it read my AC pressure accurately. Took me less than 10 min to recharge it and saved me so much money. Total it cost me $161 w/ tax. 2016 Honda Civic, I too bought the 134 (wrong) can at first. my shop doesn’t have the tools to test the system for the AC leak that I have. So they said if I bought the can((1234)I could bring it to the shop and they would charge it for $60.00. So all said and done $162 for the can and $60 for the install. Not too bad. Last year a different shop charged me about $300 and I thought my AC was fixed. Until 2 months later.

    does this add it as a liquid or vapor through low side? if you're adding through low side you ideally want to add a vapor as too much filling too much liquid too fast can slug the compressor

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  2 місяці тому

      It is added as a gas if you add with the gauge on top. Shake well to mix the additives/oil with the refrigerant. Do not turn over the can when filling or you will slug liquid refrigerant into your system.

  • @Bri5150
    @Bri5150 2 роки тому +1

    It was $150 for the can with the gauge. Crazy price for something that probably cost $10 to make. I get it, the dealer would charge $300-400 for the same thing, but holy crap.

      This product only contains rubber stop leak. If there's a seal in the condenser where gas is leaking from, then it can work for that, but if it's a metal leak it will not offer a solution. We do have an A/C Pro Super Seal product for 1234yf vehicles that works for metal leaks. www.acprocold.com/product/a-c-pro-super-seal-a-c-treatment-metal-rubber-stop-leak-for-r-1234yf-vehicles-1-5-oz/

I think most of us need to diagnose first with a gauge and then decide the next step.

    • @Acprocold

      Not sure what adaptor you're referring to, but it's illegal to put 1234yf in a 134a system or 134a in a 1234yf system. The 134a and 1234yf gauges not only have a different coupler on the end of the gauge, but the threaded piece the can screws into is also not compatible.

    No it is not that simple as described or should I say the process for adding the refrigerant is very loosely treated in this video. There is a big difference in the way you read the gauge with compressor off or on and read the “real” static pressure to determine if your system is actually low.
    This should be treated with more respect to the balance of us that are not familiar with the correct process. Yes, a monkey can shake a can and press the trigger but knowing how to interpret the gauge correctly is missing in this video.

      Are you sure you're on the low side port and you have the right refrigerant for your vehicle. If your vehicle uses R-1234yf and you buy an R-134a product it won't fit. Likewise, if you're on the high side port and not the low side port (between compressor and evap) it won't connect. The ports are standard across all vehicles and we meet that standard so if it doesn't fit one of the above has happened.
