Just got a Swiss Cheese plant from a monthly plant club (Mother's Day gift from son) last evening so I watched this video. Great info. You have a new subscriber!
Thanks for video info. I really enjoyed it. Hey, just a heads up to you but I have no humidity in my home and our general area in BC is very dry so, I wanted to find an economical solution. I found portable mini humidifiers. The ones I have work great and can be spot placed, as I have mine keeping my monstera happy. 🇨🇦

You can buy a magnetic vet reflector direct the air towards the wall or out into the room I use this near my plants I also bought a humidifier I go through a gallon of water every two days plus I have two small atomizers on my kitchen bar near my monastero plant
Your monstera is a beauty and I hope it stays that way. I have a little one of these too but the growth of the plant is stunted and new leaves are so tiny. Can you please suggest something? Thanks in advance 🙏
These get really large if you give them a board or plank (rather than a moss pole) to attach to. Search for "plank trellis" or "board trellis" and you will see how to encourage the aerial roots to fasten to the wood. Once you do that, and if you give it medium light, the new leaves will be larger, and eventually twice or thrice the size of the ones you have now. Wishing you success!
I have this plant but these days its having white powdery material and the leaves are getting crippled, what sort of disease is this will it harm other plants, and what treatment should i give to prevent this.
I have one that has been very neglected by my wife and she is thinking she can save it. She was worried when you mentioned that you had one that was very root bound and it didn't make it. Should she just start over and not even bother with the mother plants? There were about 4 vines in a 8 inch pot.
I also have this same I pruned one stem of two small leaves from restaurant and planted but it is not growing fast and it is growing very very slowly and that too very little leaves and pls tell me Or suggest the tips to grow it fast and bushy
I have one on my shelf, it keeps getting taller, will it start hanging at some point? Or it’ll just keep growing and standing high by itself? I don’t have enough space to have it climb up.
@@giggalz I later found out that "crying" isn't really a sign of overwatering but rather a way in which the plant reacts if there's too much humidity in the air. So it's a mistake to avoid watering it if it "cries"...
I know this original comment is old, but I’ve found that this plant is suuuuuuper low light. Even being near the smallest grow light causes yellowing for me 🤷♀️
You can propagate some cuttings and stick them back in the pot, or do some pruning to encourage growth. But if it literally is one vine you may just want to buy a larger plant 😂
I had one cutting that I rooted and planted, so it grew long, but the top of the pot was really bare. What I did was take the long vine and curl it on the soil in the pot and pin it down to the soil with plastic-coated wire in several places where the nodes were. After a while, the nodes that were in contact with the soil rooted and I was able to cut them off from the main vine and have them grow on their own. It's a lot easier to do this than to take cuttings and try to root them in water...and my success rate was 100%.
You can also try giving it support like a moss pole instead of letting it trail. That can help it grow bigger leaves, because in nature they grow up trees.
I live in North Florida and my Monsteras are beautiful. We have them everywhere. If you like to watch plants actually grow, this is the plant for you

My plant looks similar to yours with multiple shoots, can I add or moss pole, or leave it to hang like yours?
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing plants collection lovely in doorplants
I received one last year & it wasn't in the best shape. I stuck it in my bathroom, now ita outside. It still has some yellow, funky leaves 🤷🏾♀️
Beautiful plants you have ! I love them all.
Thanks so much friend! :)
How do you repot it? I finally have one that wasn’t A trimming and now I’m scared to repot it.
Thank you very informative. I just bought one of these plants
Your video was very informative, too! Thank you

Oh lovely! 🪴 Which cabinet is that in the background? Such great tips for this plant too!!!
It's the Detolf from IKEA! Thank you! 💚
I just bought my first Monstera Adansonii in a self watering pot at home depot. Should I replant it in another pot?
It should have read I just pushed a Swiss cheese it's only 8 inches I call it a baby ,and I luv it .
I have one on my shelf, it keeps getting taller, will it start hanging at some point? Or it’ll just keep growing and standing high by itself? I don’t have enough space to have it climb up.
Yes, it'll start hanging down as it gets bigger 😊
@@SproutsandStems I hope so, right now it has many leaves already and is growing like a spiral staircase.
I like how bushy yours is. So lush. How many vines are in there?
My monstera constantly has yellow leaves and it "cries" even if I water it very little... idk what to do with it...
Mine does the same
@@giggalz I later found out that "crying" isn't really a sign of overwatering but rather a way in which the plant reacts if there's too much humidity in the air. So it's a mistake to avoid watering it if it "cries"...

Stop watering too much.I have one where I have it on direct light I water it ones every 3 weeks to ones a month try it you should see a difference.
Someone told me to water it in the morning and it should stop the crying. They told me it is called “guttering”.
Mine is growing straight up not trailing. Will it eventually fall? It's not held up by any poles
She’s beautiful 😊
Let's grow it!
I was trying to find the ikea greenhouse cabinet but no luck!
on the monstera,if use the moss pole do we need to wet or spray the pole or not
Spray the pole.
Do you have a video for how to get rid of white bugs on monstera adansonii?
Probably mealybugs.... can put rubbing alcohol on a qtip, and touch each bug with it... kills them instantly.
Wow Wow that a perfect montera ❤️ 😍
How do you make it full?? I feel like mine is just one vine lol
You can propagate some cuttings and stick them back in the pot, or do some pruning to encourage growth. But if it literally is one vine you may just want to buy a larger plant 😂
propagate..its simple literally

Thank you!
How do i get bigger leaves on the vines of my swiss cheese vine. The plant seems to be gowing well bt the leaves are quitet small.
First thing I would try is more light!
You can also try giving it support like a moss pole instead of letting it trail. That can help it grow bigger leaves, because in nature they grow up trees.
Just got!! 3 mo ago. New growth wild. Some older leaves r dying. What do I do. I don't over water. Help!!
I have one and the leaves are turning brown I think the leaves got sunburned. How can i fix it
I have
Unfortunately, it has black spots
How do I treat it
Because the plant is at risk of dying
Hi. Monstera Adonsonii yes, but its known as a Monkey Msk.
Subscribed :)
my plants nodes are blackish, is that bad or?
بالتوفيق 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🎁🥇🥇
amazing
Have you tried this plant in leca? I need helpppp be it soil or leca she doesn’t love me🙈🥀
No I haven't! If you do, let me know how it goes!
Plant doesn’t need fertiliser? I find that unless I feed it every single time I water it goes limp and develops yellowing.
I noticed slow release fertilizer balls in your plant's pot.
Maravilha eu tenho uma 😍
This was so helpful
"or Philodendron"... Monstera:" excuse me?!"
For those in the comments that really knows why : mine is getting stringy and the leaves are getting small , I’m doing everything right 😢🤔
Hi👸
look like Monstera Monkey Mask to me
This plant is also toxic to humans and everytime you touched the leaves I got really worried about you and hoped you washed your hands very well
Omg, I had no idea, thank you so much
Poisonous plant
Don't eat it
Great video thank you.
