I have a Monstera, it's huge and has actually fruited about 5 years ago. It took another year to ripen and did smell and taste amazing. Love this video.

As someone who owns a 14 stem 6yr old monstera that is in full intense light all day in the UK, I can 100% tell you that the more light and climbing opportunities you give this plant (obviously you have to slowly move it into bright light, as in took me 6 months) the more light it gets the faster it grows and the bigger the fenestrations become, mines leaves are almost the size of my torso now and have center holes as well as side splits I water every 2 weeks ish, and feed regularly (worm casting and fish bone) I haven't repotted it for atleast 2 years and it is ridiculously happy and grows all the way through winter lol Shows how different some peoples care routine is in comparison to recommendation, if your routine works for you and your plant than keep at it 💚
@@Kira-kg4kl Okay cool I'll try to ease it in. It's kinda annoying that every plant seems to be bright indirect light but I have south-west facing windows ☀
My wonderful mum just recommended your videos to me and so far I've found them to be the most informative I've seen thus far on UA-cam! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge in a very digestible way. Keen to watch many more!
AHHH I WAS GETTING SCARED YOU DIDNT HAVE ONE FOR MONSTERA’S!!! I FINALLY FOUND THIS VIDEO ON YOUR CHANNEL! :D so so so thankful for this channel… you have saved so many plant lives you have no idea! 🎉😂❤
I started expanding my houseplant hobby about 3 years ago. My monstera has done wonderfully. Before I ever saw your videos, I just did a lot of on-line search. And it just happened that the only room my monstera could be in, was in front of a huge north-facing window. It grew quickly. I've got about 25 gorgeous fenestrated leave on it. Even this winter, it continues to push out new beautiful leaves. Almost all of the leaves are bigger than my face. I've only used a water-soluble fertilizer in spring. But during this winter, the only nutrition I feed it, is worm castings. I think my plant loves it. 💖
These are probably the most useful and informative plant videos I've seen. I've been looking for some more professional, detailed advice, rather than the typical hobbyist "influencer" videos, and you guys did a great job! I'd love to see a video on with advice on keeping a Philodendron 'Congo Rojo'. I have a rescue plant I picked up that had been discarded and it's grown quite long and leggy, with widely-spaced leaves. I'd like to see something on Rhapis excelsa as well. Skål!!
THE BEST review on Monstera I was able to find in months.. great info. helped me grow mine 2x the size (~1m now) in just one year, beautiful healthy leaves and color.. :) thanks a bunch for sharing!!
Mate that was so nice and easy to watch. You are so informative, you have a really nice delivery style, and your accent and second language speaking is so lovely. Thank you so much for sharing my plant loving brother :D I'm subscribing !

Thanks this has been fantastic information. I’m new to house plant potting. When I found this plant I fell in love with it. The roots are beautiful. Thank you.
Yesterday I saw a large, beautiful Monstera - but it was 40€ and I just wasn't willing on paying so much for a plant right now, also I currently don't have enough room for it (yet!) - but then I saw a baby Monstera seedling with no fenestrations yet - that was a sign! I bought it and I'm so happy I did because it's cute and I love watching them grow :D
I love 💗 how you divide the description in four parts. ✨It’s very helpful from the moment of purchase to bring a healthy plant home 🏡 👏🏼✨👏🏼✨👏🏼✨❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I just got a nice monstera a few days ago that I found on a clearance rack for $5. All that was wrong with it is it needed repotted and staked up and one leaf was ripped up. So now I need to learn how to take care of it, thanks for the info
I have become a huge fan of your chanel. I love the way you explain every thing in details. I have consulted so many experts regarding the placement of aroids, they all say you cannot keep them in the north facing balcony. You are the only one who say that north facing balcony is the best and I totally agree with you because I have placed almost 20 aroids in a brightly lit balcony and my plants looking at the sky and they are thriving

Another great informative video! I’ve been wanting a Monstera for my bathroom but I often see them growing with no direction all over the place so I found this to be particularly helpful! Than you! 🪴
I am a fan of cutting to propogate (and give them away as gifts) to diminish the wild (although beautiful) bushy appearance. They propogate beautifully with the leave still in tact, as the aerial roots propogating in water create wonderful results. Monstera is easily my fave!
This was the most informative video I’ve seen on this plant. I just got one earlier this month. Only 5 leaves but already a new one is beginning to spiral out. I just love this plant. I live in the US in Florida so humidity and cold is never a problem. Thank you for all the useful information.

So do I. Mine has the roots in a filthy overstocked south American cichlid tank. The cutting that I placed in the aquarium is 3x the size of the mother plant that is still in dirt. Huge beautiful fenestrated leaves. I'd say it's very happy.
Very good video on the Monstera deliciosa or Swiss Cheese Plant, Swedish Plantguys. Your video was very detailed and addressed every aspect of cultivating Monstera deliciosa. Your style of presentation is great. I look forward to seeing more videos on your channel.

Thank you very much for the information. I purchased a small monstera last year and it has grown more than double the size, it still has a little while to go before the leaves split. Although the plant is beautiful and green with no brown spots or edges I felt that the plant has been lacking something for a while, I now know that it's the humidity ( I live in Scotland ). I am now going to give it a good spray with water more often. I'm sure my plant will be happier and more beautiful thanks to you 💖😊. My cutting has been sitting in water culture for three months now and is growing like crazy, the roots are very healthy while the mother monstera is still putting out a lot of growth. I cut the top of the mother plant cuz she was getting to top heavy.

I have three local grocery stores that I have bought most of my indoor plants from. Most of the time, the tag just says 'tropical'. Jump online to see if I can figure out what I just bought. Last night, I found a 'tropical' that looked interesting and that I didn't have yet. Was on my way home when I thought 'Monstera'. Uh oh. I've seen videos with huuuuge Monstera's. Mine looks exactly like the smallest one that was talked about. Before the 'adams rib aka swiss cheese' leaf shows up. Okay. Not quite as scared as I was last night anymore. Awesome video. Really helped explain things clearly.
Excellent video. I bought a great Monstera D in a 11 inch Pot which was very nice when I purchased. But it was a very cold days 31st December when I had bought. I did not wrap any paper or plastic around, since I had not seen this video, but brought it home in the car on a really cold day. Its just 9 days to date, and I did exactly the opposite to what you mentioned in the channel. Placed it at a South Facing large window with more sunlight, watered almost every alternate day, and the conditions are dry where with no moisture. As a result, the all the beautiful large leaves have turned brownish and wilted.. but there is life left for sure. After this video I am trying to save it, let me see if I am successful. Thanks for this video.
This is so useful, thank you! I got a monstera cutting through a plant swap a few weeks ago and it's still small, one of the leaves got damaged in the post so I cut it and now I only have one leaf.
