I wanna participate! :D Do I have to do a UA-cam channel? We could do a "Subscribers' Edition". :D Also, need to get in touch with you about what we talked about at the beginning of summer.
I'd like to suggest Wildfern. So happy you won! Congrats💖 Cute video too. Also love the brainstorm ideas. And the little peak at the man of your life at the end there. Aww he's so cute and you guys are just 💗
You won the plant competition, but you also win hearts with your fantastic storytelling. You really captured your great efforts. This was so nicely presented.
That was so fun to watch !! I really hope this becomes an annual event we all can enjoy! It's really awesome to see some of your favourite plant youtubers competing ❤ congratulations Kristina on winning 🎉
Why did I cry at the end? I mean, wow. I felt this. I think it’s because you took us along on your journey and I was all the way invested. Here cheering for your continual success.
I didn't even know what to say to you until now but, I just love that I could let you all in on the whole process and the whirlwind of emotions that was this challenge 💚 Thank you for sharing your thoughts & kindness.
one of the best videos ive ever seen on youtube ! German engineering excelled in this challenge , Planning and organizing also add you special touch give you an excellence result ! Kristina youre the best i swear 💚👌
Hahahaha Zakaria your comment made me laugh out loud 😂 I'm dying over here. I'm flattered to have earned the german engineering compliment, thank you. 💚 Glad, you liked the video 😉
@@LeafyLuster Oh god😄 yeah i said the truth and you deserve better ....You are the Sebastian Bach of the world of planting and decoration also editing videos ! you play a special melody 🎼
Omg, your adansonii tree turned out so FCKING awesome!! Not just in terms of winning, but I love that you used an actual piece of wood to mount the plant. It looks epic. I'm inspired!!
Congratulations, Kristina! Well deserved!! Your creative approach was BRILLIANT! Thank you Lee, @KillThisPlant for introducing me to this channel, and this awesome challenge!!! I would LOVE to see Harli G in round 2! However, she did an ABSOLUTE PERFECT PRO job in judging!!
What a brilliant transformation! Thank you for sharing the journey, and such cool tips along the way, the whole Saran wrap, and wrapping up the plastic idea is just brilliant! Definitely triggered my excitement to do this to my sad looking adonsonii, hope it turned out as great as yours ! ❤
I went and hacked down some invasive vines to make all natural support branches recently. Great minds think alike! Congratulations on a well deserved win! 🏆 Alles Gute!
It is so beautiful, you've really outdone yourself, Kristina! So happy that Harli was the judge! You absolutely deserved the win - and hope there's a round 2! And now I need to recreate this set up some day. 😂
Permission granted...I absolutely fell in love with the display the second I put it together. And Harli as judge was the best surprise ever! She did a great job judging as well, and I am not saying that just because I won 😅 Plant Challenge 2024 is definitely coming 😉
Came here from KilThisPlant and not gonna lie, I know I'm a newbie plant parent, but your skills with this beautiful adansonii made me feel it in my soul. Hope to see you in the 2024 plant challenge too!
Congrats Kristina!! I’m a new subscriber here. Just purchased my first monstera yesterday from a green house and so excited to train it to climb! Also love your videos, you are entertaining beautiful and creative keep it up!
What a great way to colaborate on youtube. Looks like so much fun! Congrats on your win, you have a wonderful presentation. I hope you update us on how it looks now. And congrats on all the participants.
Well done, Kristina. I love the effort you put into the display and the bagging idea to encourage attachment was a pro move on your part. Way to go! I love the cork idea for this project, by the way. We recently found a huge piece at a garden center in Germany that we transformed into a wall-mounted air plant display (with lights). It was a fun project that turned out great as well. Looking forward to updates! -Rob
Congratulations Kristina! Well deserved! You’ve really put your 100% to this project and I love the outcome. I honestly cried happy tears after you’re announced as the winner and when you’re proudly showing your accomplishment to your fiancé. I’m so happy for you!😍🎉💚🪴👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It looks insane and also with the lights inside❣️😍 wow❣️ I hope I can create soon the same what you did, it’s looking fantastic and it give me so much inspiration with that idea🌿🥰
What an awesome idea. Loved this challenge- also a great idea for such a fun and creative competition!!! This is the first time I’m seeing this channel. Definitely will catch up on your videos!!!
This looks amazing! Definitely a well earned win, you went all in from start to finish and it shows. The revival of that alocasia was impressive too from the other participant!
Same, can't wait for the 2024 Plant Challenge. Thank you dear 🥰 I was so happy with my idea but even happier when it actually worked out just as I planned 😅
This was/is such a great, educational idea to get ppl who not only love plants but also who kno what they're talkn bout, together for a fun harmless challenge. I enjoy watching and learning from y'all. When is th next competition and who are the runner-ups?
Great job on the win Kristina! But I really want to know, what happened when the monstera outgrew the wood? Did you cut it back? I also just want to know in case I try doing something like this. But once again, great job and plant!
Thank you Jake, I didn't have to cut it back yet, but it has reached the top by now. I will 100% make a video about cutting it back. I'm a little scared about the roots that have attached themselves to the bark 😅
Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Kristina. Sehr verdient gewonnen.
I wonder how long that cork bark will last getting moistened all the time, I’m sure you might get a couple years out of it maybe? I’m so inspired!!! I wanna build one too!! I’ve been using those birch bark branches they sell at Christmas or just decor on shingling plants, the white bark and green leaves is stunning, I don’t think the birch wood will last forever for sure, but it’s beautiful nonetheless!! Omgosh! Love it sooo much!!! Zehr gut!!!
I also think it should last a good while. I am more worried about what I do once the plant outgrows the bark. How do I cut it back, will I be able to detach the roots again etc. 😅🤔 Birch sounds like a great match, I agree.
THIS! I want to do the same kind of thing for my Thai constellation but I’m concerned about how to manage it as it gets bigger and if it would get any nutrients or if I. An just spray it down occasionally as if it was raining in it’s natural environment? I love this.
I think Monstera Thai constellation doesn't need a lot of support but you could definitely grow it on a pole or a tree trunk like I did. As far as nutrients I would suggest a fertilizer you mix in while watering or there are also foliage spray fertilizers. Only showering it wouldn't really help with nutrients. As a side note, if I am not mistaken Thai constallations have short internodal spacing, sooo a large pole like mine should last a really long time.
For round two, I think it might be fun to try something like a euphorbia dragon bones, trigona rubra, maybe even a chocolate drop. They grow super fast and It might be fun to roll up with a succulent that doubled in size (Mine sure has) lol.
I don't know if I have enough expertise in Succulents to pull this one of yet. I'll have a look into those though, always love learning about new plants 💚thanks for the recommendations.
When you are screwing from the bottom of the planter, you should use a washer to prevent the head of the screw pulling through the plastic of the bottom of the planter.
Hey, tolles Video! Ganz lieben Dank, Silvia 🥀
This was so much fun and stress and excitement can't wait for round 2. Who do you want to see in the 2024 Plant Challenge? Leave some suggestions 💚

A golden pothos dying is uncommon I think. lol Poor thing. I wonder what happened. XD Anyways, congrats! Now I kinda wanna look for a big tree bark.
Go for it, it's such a statement piece! And thank you 💚
Great challenge. And your plant was my personal favorite. And one other thing, does your boyfriend look like Ryan Gosling?
The ladies who chose alocasias are craaaazy lol. Both of them looked way better than they would have in my care.
Wow

you are literally amazing. x
Amazing! Is there possibly a link to the pot used? After a nice wide one like this and like the look.
In the beginning I would have pruned off the worst leaves so the plant could focus on new growth instead of struggling to keep dying foliage alive
Good point!
Congrats!!

well I think it looks f*cking nice !!
i bought one 1/4 the size for 20Euro 2 weeks ago... 10 bucks is a steal congrats
Thanks, I do hope yours came with less spidermites though 😉😅
Good job, looks nice.
Thanks!
Loved the challange!
Hi Kristina! Where did you buy the corktunnel? Thank you :)
Hi Barbara, I got it in the Aquarium/ Terrarium section in Dehner Garden center. They have it there all year round in different sizes.
Thank you sooo much! What do you think does it work with monstera dubia? How does it handle the water?@@LeafyLuster
Where did you get the support bark thing? I would love to get one for myself
I got that from the terrarium section in dehner garden center, it's fully just treebark 😁.
Did roots ever appear attached to the moss pole? 🥰 P.s. LOVED this video!
Yes! the did, especially after I wrapped it with the clingfilm 😅
Hey, tolles Video!
Going to copy this with a pothos.
What a gun challenge and a beautiful plant
Very nice
You should test different fertiliser ratios
