This really touched my heart, I want to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force when I'm older, my father, and his father (RIP) was in the Air Force. Although not pilots, I still want to continue their legacy. Even though my grandpa wasn't a pilot, this still reminds me of the stories my dad told me of what he did in the Air Force. Love you Papa.

i was turned away from the RAAF in 2021 and given a 2 year hold on my application. I was lost for a while, scared and hopeless thinking i would never fly for the RAAF. I spent an entire year just working and bumming around not chasing any particular dream. I dropped out of university and basically gave up. I then started looking at where I am and where I want to be in life. I never want to sit at a desk and punch numbers in. No way. That’s not me. That’s not who I am. I needed to change and re-establish my goals. I am currently undergoing flight training to attain my CPL. I know what I want and I know I will get it. It’s mine. In 2023, a day before my 21st birthday I am eligible to try and join the RAAF again. Nothing will stop me from getting in the pilot seat of an F/A-18 Super-hornet. Hard work always wins.

This is what made me who I am today was working hard like this. Currently 5 year member of US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Served in the US Airforce and ANG, in early 90's, have 3 million miles safe driving, and drive for Walmart as a grocery driver, feeding others as a result. Served 30 years as a volunteer firefighter, and made a world class drum and bugle corps because of hard work when I didn't even play a bugle or a drum and will once again this summer play in what may very well be the largest drum and bugle corps in the world as our Bluecoats Alumni corps takes the field. While I must say I am blessed to have a great and fulfilled life There is a nagging point in my life that hits me hard and serves as a reminder to never give up. In 1998 I let fear sneak in and I lost my dream of becoming a Naval Aviator. I had it in my damned grasp and lost it because I let something so simple like fear to take control of me and my thoughts. What I forgot was that I have control over that fear and because I forgot that, it cost me everything. That fear took control over me for years and made me think I was worthless because I did not make it. Today though I am proud to say that I have served by feeding thousands with my job, saved hundreds as a firefighter, and continue to serve my community and nation as a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and hope that I can continue inspire others to keep moving. Don't let fear control you, you can control it. MOST IMPORTANT DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T GIVE IN, AND KEEP YOUR ASS MOVING.
This is my goal. I will not stop until I get there. I've sacrificed so much. I CAN. I WILL. I MUST.

Today my dream of becoming a USAF pilot was realized. I’ve worked so hard to achieve this. I am humbled by those who have gone before me and hope I can live up to their legacy. I finally got some air and I can now connect the dots. I learned to stop being about my feelings

I tried a lot to satisfy myself with other career options available. M a Hotel Mngmnt student and which in itself is a vast and rich world to build career in, but the zeal and Hunger for flying pulls me back to IAF, and for me Becoming a Fighter Pilot is everything and one day I will 🔥
That bit slap is sometimes exactly what we need to hear from those who know what it feels like to make it through the toughest times and still make it through to the 🔝 motivation mindsets. 💪

I never really knew what I wanted to do in life which all I knew was that I wanted to join the marines, but as of lately I think I found what I’m meant to be a fighter pilot, I have always like aviation but never really got in to it because I didn’t think I could do it but I don’t know why about it seems right

Generals, Commanders and people of the nation they represent especially
sometimes
with the amount of armament that they carry sometimes on their fighter
jet. from 30mm canons to explosive missiles of different sorts to
nuclear armaments, all at their finger tips to deploy awaiting commands
from central command and military intelligence.
