What I like is the use of old school dogfight tactics. In his book, “the red battle flyer”, the Red Baron talks about how they would intercept their targets with the Sun behind them so they couldn’t see you coming. You can see maverick do this multiple times during this scene.
This is my favorite scene because before are this they were all cocky especially hangman and they’ve been told they were the best. But then maverick comes in and takes them all down with no sweat. This is why should fear an old man in a life where men die young. That’s why veterans get great respect.
Not a fan of the original Top Gun but amazed at how good the sequel was in comparison. Right up there with Road Warrior on list of sequels far superior to the original.
I like the part in the movie where the one guy says "...we're picking up a signal from Rooster's E-Set"....and Cyclone (Maverick's boss) comments "...Maverick". And of course: Who else would steal an enemy plane and then take off with it.
Just goes to prove, before you make a challenge like 200 push ups, make sure the person you're challenging doesn't have years of experience. When rookies challenge authority, it doesn't usually end well. It does make them more humble when they get some sense slapped into them. Just something to think about.
Right? “Old man” is a Navy Captain (O-6) , combat experience and the only ‘modern’ fighter jock to shoot down multiple MiG’s, was also a Top Gun instructor and is STILL alive AND flying while his counterparts are flying desks, retired or dead.
You know I have to give the writers alot of props, these kids could have been insufferable, especially the girl. But I'll be Goddamned if she isn't one of my favorite new characters. She really shined in a cast of great performances! Almost enough for me to wish to see more of them. I don't want more of them, but man they got really close for me to be all: I'd watch a spin off franchise where these kids are the main, with Mav being way back in the background. This movie sets the bar for what a great action movie should be.
"Lets try not to get fired on the first day" *He's Clearly Used To This* 💀💀💀
Great touch that Rooster puts his visor down first and says "guys..." when the bet is made.
He knows how good Maverick is.
4:30 I thought Maverick was going to give the finger and say greetings
Underrated comment!
He's matured. Slightly.

Love how this is representative of Tom teaching them in real life
Great movies..........I was in the Navy in 1986 when the first Top Gun came out!
I’ve watched this like 20 times, so cool
Tom, you said in an interview a couple of months ago that you could do a better TGM will do it. Your fans want to see the finish of the story,
which needs an ending. It will be a big hit for you & fans. They love you & respect you as is. They will love you even more finishing the TGM3
bc they are waiting for it in bated breath. Please do TGM3 for us. We need another feel-good story from you & we all know you can do it bc you're a great person & actor.
Take care, be careful, love always a long time fan of yours.😊❤
Hudson: Hey Vasquez. Has anyone ever mistaken you for man?
Vasquez: No. Have you?
One of the GREAT LINES...
@@bobsullivan5714 ... stolen from the Aliens movie.
This is an awesome compilation! Whoever put this together 😢🫡😁👍🏿💪🏿👌🏿
The impact of Phoenix plane crashing reminds me of my love life.
What I like is the use of old school dogfight tactics. In his book, “the red battle flyer”, the Red Baron talks about how they would intercept their targets with the Sun behind them so they couldn’t see you coming. You can see maverick do this multiple times during this scene.
The Bird Strike scene had me on the edge of my seat in cinema.
That spiral scene had to be the sickest ive seen besides the simulator course
This is my favorite scene because before are this they were all cocky especially hangman and they’ve been told they were the best. But then maverick comes in and takes them all down with no sweat.
This is why should fear an old man in a life where men die young. That’s why veterans get great respect.
This could be my favourite movie of all time...
It's a crime to watch such great scenes on Mobile ..
This movie is literally meant to watch in theatre that too Imax ❤
Not a fan of the original Top Gun but amazed at how good the sequel was in comparison. Right up there with Road Warrior on list of sequels far superior to the original.
0:25 so do you buddy boy, so do you
That moment with Coyote (7:30-810) was eerie! 😟
When Maverick speaks, Rooster is the only one who gets ready.
I like the part in the movie where the one guy says "...we're picking up a signal from Rooster's E-Set"....and Cyclone (Maverick's boss) comments "...Maverick". And of course: Who else would steal an enemy plane and then take off with it.
It's because overwatch reports an F-14 tomcat headed their way. Maverick's their only pilot who can fly a tomcat
Once saw dogfighting maneuvers while fishing in the 80's. Never saw a fighter jet do a 180 on a dime. Great 15 minutes.
I love at the start that rooster knows what mav is about to do and has his mask ready
"That's a lot of pushups."
This wasn't a lament. It was a warning.
Just goes to prove, before you make a challenge like 200 push ups, make sure the person you're challenging doesn't have years of experience. When rookies challenge authority, it doesn't usually end well. It does make them more humble when they get some sense slapped into them. Just something to think about.
Absolute 10, great movie !!
Well the only movie that's as cheesy as it is classy, as cliched yet just as genuine. That earns my 10/10
One liners era will not forget this songs
Its already pass your bed time but when you hear YEAHHHHH !!!!!
you know what it is 😎😎😎
4:42 this scene is sooo anime 😂
Area 88 or Ace Combat vibes
So crazy how from 8:28 with the bird strike things escalated so quickly 😅
I like how the Hangman character is basically like: "Bob, go do push-ups.... Let me see what that old guy can actually do."
The only movie that's come out of Hollywood in the lastr three years I spent money to watch. That folks, is how you make a movie.
Tom Cruise really needs to run his own studio or something.
Thanks for sharing! That was cool as hell! 👊😁
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome movie!!! "Not this time old man" LOL.
Right? “Old man” is a Navy Captain (O-6) , combat experience and the only ‘modern’ fighter jock to shoot down multiple MiG’s, was also a Top Gun instructor and is STILL alive AND flying while his counterparts are flying desks, retired or dead.
@@rayedward5465 actually, the "old man" can be any CO, even if that CO isn't an O-6.
Humbling you with Talent !
To be fair, I'd be way more open to this had it not taken 30 years for us to get a sequel, but yea.
Agreed, it's a diverse cast that isn't pushing diversity, but excellence. Great movie, and really needed during this woke era.
Love this movie!!
First.....never underestimate your opponent.....second....protect yourself at all times......
Gotta hand it to the pilots flying those fighters. They know what they’re doing.
Tom Cruise stunning Maverick you are Wonderful Amazing great i love so much all this movies and i love so much thé actor man and producer see you soon Maverick 👍🇬🇧🇱🇷🇫🇷💪🕶️💯🔥🛩️✈️🎞️🏍️❤️❤️🗼🗽
This movie was so badass!!!
"Baby on board" Geez, I crack my self up.
Maverick going after Coyote is so Tom Cruise.
