Took his money and company, killed his friend and framed him, took his inheritance and burned it, beats his ass then has his toy (which was made with his tech) beat his ass again, lets him live so he can helplessly watch his success. If this is the end of the Krakoa era, i will be upset. Personally i think the Krakoa arc has been the best era for the Mutants. I feel that Mutants are best seperated from the rest of the marvel roster. Not because I don’t like them but the mutant narrative is better by themselves. It just doesn't make sense that humans accept superpowered beings, gods, inhumans, demons etc but can not accept mutants? It doesn’t make sense. But with Krakoa i feel that its all about Mutants and their struggles without being sidelined by the marvel roster. I really hope Fall of X is just a rebirth for a new age of Krakoa and its mutants.

Fall of X is not the end of Krakoa
Mutants need to be a seperate entity. It was their story about racism and hatred that has been engrossing. But in a short time, they crossed over with the other characters in Marvel, they have been sidelined. Which in turn affected their story. This is one of the reasons why I'm sceptical about mutants entering the MCU. I would prefer to keep them away from the MCU. Keep their own stories. I mean there's a ton of mutant characters that deserve to be in the limelight. And the Krakoa arc was excellent for that. Everything about it felt authentic in relation to mutant stories and how they adapt. From having their own country, planet, magical realm and government. I think its brilliant. Fingers crossed this continues.
If these sentinels are built to be basically more powerful Iron Man armors, then Tony's usual arsenal isn't going to cut it. There's a lot of different directions they could go with this but honestly, I want to see Tony take a page out of Doom's book.
Tony is joining Hellfire and taking over Shaw's position as the Black King, as well as marrying Emma Frost, so he'll have access to Krakoa's resources, as much as they are diminished now

I'm sorry but it's still Stark Tech. Tony does what he did in Armoured Wars back in the 80s and designs a nullifier that burns out any Star Tech. In Armoured Wars this included both Stark Armour but also the armours of Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, etc. You can't really protect against it. But that would be too easy I guess.
This feels like such a re-run of the Stane and Hammer take overs and the solutions that worked against them should also work here. The writers really need to think up something different.
And as for these Sentinels they are now going to have to face the Avengers. Thor and Captain Marvel can plow right through them (they have both taken apart Iron Man armour with Tony inside when they get angry enough). You attack one Avenger you attack them all (or so it should go).
They just can't write good original stories anymore it seems like everything is a repeat or a dumb retcon or just bad writing marvel comics haven't been good for a long time for the most part oh and for some reason marvel acts like they can't write ironman properly he's been going down hill since the 2000s
@@oblivion1091 There is also the matter of ownership. The writers continually forget that the Iron Man armour is owned and patented by Stark himself. His companies have no ownership over them. Stark owns all patents of tech that he developed, again his company benefits but does not own these patents. His IP is his and his alone not his companies. The writers continually forget this. Sure the bad guys can steal this which is why Armoured Wars came about but this new bad guy, like Stane before him, has simply acquired the latest Stark company and all that it builds, but anything Stark himself developed is Stark's alone. He could sell the patents but he's not that stupid, only the writers.

It amazes me with how intelligent tony is, he havent found a way to put up some safe guards to prevent situatioms like this, or how he havent diacovered the recordings howard left him. He really is formidable only when written to be.

Comics aren't interesting when Tony knows everything, or the Hulk is unbeatable or Thor never grapples with his worthiness, or Peter Parke5 has nothing except sunny days. I'm not sure where this recent sentiment of new comic fans comes from but Tony is always defined by his hubris, that's his thing. He's arrogant, and he misses stuff or fucks up because he thinks he has the answers to everything. He might learn a temporary lesson here or there and rally himself but his assumption that he can anticipate everything is usually his downfall. That's what makes him interesting, and separates him from other geniuses of the world. He's not T'Challa, he's not Reed Richard's and not everyone needs to. Octavius feels undermined, Osbourne is manic and psychotic, Stane is ruthless and greedy, Richard's can't see the forest from the trees, T'Challa is haughty, Hank Pym is a narcissist, Bruce Banner is desperate for control or to be left alone, Doom is a megalomaniac, Xavier is unethical, and om and on it goes. Arrogance, hubris are Tony's fatal flaws and define him as a character.
@@clnblk7773 A resurgence came in when comics became movie themes, everything is done in two hours or less, the sequel can't roll back the dysfunction, just progress. Tony in the comics is wonderfully flawed, he is not gifted with Peper's affection and child he never had.
Nope he is drunk, hubris is out of control, a genius who can't fathom others are smarter than him, the man is constantly imitated but never replaced. The MCU gave Tony the messages for his father with its Tony created a new element, in the comics his enemy finds them, something both never would look for from his father. Tony is in a deeper hole; he must invent his way out of at his lowest. He will get it all back as a drunk and then some. New readers think the movie themes overlap the comics, they should not.
@clnblk7773 it's not about him knowing every, he doesn't know everything even when he's on his game, having the character behave as he should, if it was Reed then expect him to know almost everything earth comes across or atleast figure it out fast. Tony has always had his parents on his mind so why wouldn't he have searched for something his parents left behind? Especially when he's had similar situations in the past.
@BossWolfHomieG I dunno why he didn't search endlessly for any tokens from his dad, he had a lot to do? Why would he even assume his dad left secret messages? Peoples parents die, and they find out weird shit later all the time. Most people aren't actively searching for it. Tony is busy, if nothing else

You forgot Rob, that the Iron man Sentinel was created was introduced back in the Avengers Vs X-Men: Sanction when Cable showed off the Iron Man Sentinel tech armor.
Orchis just reverse engineered the tech that shield probably got from the fight.
Never understood why Stark never has any failsafes in his tech to stop other people from using it against his will
Ironically in the MCU Donut Shop scene Fury facetiously asks Black Widow if it were possible?,..and she replies they(Stark Tech) have redundancies against such things. So weirdly MCU Stark thought of this, but Comic Stark hasn't I'm guessing.
Yah. It's always really confusing since it was such a big part of the plot of "iron man and friends" in the 90s

They lost the plot. Hickman's clear implication is that the mutants were becoming as bad, if not worse than regular humans. They dropped that when he left seemingly. Don't think about it too much, otherwise you'll realize how hypocritical the X-Men are now, and that Krakoa's the Marvel Universes' North Korea; except way more dangerous.
That armor is even powerful than the sentinels.....it'll be the end of the mutants but trust me there's nothing mutants can't defeat

This is the best representation of Tony Stark, hard drunk some personal flaws added to his hubris, yet he is functional to the point of drawing his attention is not a good thing.
I do like the metal in his father notes was not a repeat of Ironman 2, which led to Tony creating a new element his father actually discovered. Yet in true form an oversite by Tony in his relationships and leaving what's old behind.
Feilong is an interesting opponent in this situation with the right person to antagonize, as I recall if he is the same character he was easily dispatched when the Eternals struck, he had to flee despite his tera formation project, he had tech suit then that did not pan out.

It's weird to me that Stark not only didn't record the bag guy's evil plans, but also didn't put failsafes preventing his tech from being used.
Even weirder is how he didn't notice he lost stock ownership of his company. You'd think these are things he'd keep track of.

At least Stark didn't make that Mutant-Buster suit. I know comics Stark has Buster-suits for EVERYTHING. But you'd think he would've made one for Mutant villains, allowing other villains to use it to their advantage if they ever got their hands on it. Similar to Failsafe, the thing Batman made as a contingency plan for everyone, INCLUDING HIMSELF, because nowadays, that alien Batman is a split personality of Bruce.
Hell, MCU Stark(up to Civil War) would've made one.
Mutant abilities are way too varied for tony to make a mutant buster suit that isn't just another "Godkiller" but on a smaller scale.
And even then Tony would get wrecked by most of the omega levels. It would be a moot point to try and make a mutant killer, Afaik he has/had some suits to counter certain mutants, but at the end of the day no suit he could realistically make would be able to deal with Mutants as a whole. Unless he turns himself into nimrod.
