I fucking LOVE the Avengers stance on this. They're done not helping the Xmen, Caps done letting genocide go, and Iron Man refuses to be the reason for Mutants death. Thor even recently just freed a bunch of Mutants and wrecked orchis soldiers telling them "get up so thor may smite thee again"

It’s also a form of atonement.
During Civil war, the Avengers were so focused on different sides and the x men were not a part of it.
They tried to get the X men involved but, when Tony and Carol tried, Emma straight up dragged them for the deaths of Genosha and the Decimation that they just didn’t care about.
Especially since the latter was done by an avenger; the Scarlet Witch.
Then you love character assination. Captain America would never do that.

Marvel as far as Comics goes has always seem very connected to me, what’s new?
Emma was at the Gala when Xavier was mentally forcing mutants to walk through the gates. She resisted it and also helped other resist. She was teleported out my (Sebastian ex wife) the reason she has a bandage on her nose was she tried to go back to the Gala but couldn’t walk through the gates.

Fisk is such an interesting character. Aside from his lengthy history, his self-serving motivations cause him to be in some very unexpected partnerships.
Orchis attacked his home and attacked his wife. There is no way they will not suffer for that!

Humans were ALREADY fearful of mutants. That's not a prediction that's merely repetition. Humans were ALREADY trying to kill off mutants when Xavier and company were trying to make nice nice. Mutants left to their own island and humans and their own planet and STILL humans were fearful. Thanks, Tony, for your genius foresight.

Repurpose the military base? Dead.
Relocate to a non used island, offer medicine to the world, solve an intergalactic economic crisis and still fight against events like the Symbiote god? Dead again.

I couldn't have agreed more. I made comments on several video's during the Krakoa era, and I'll still stand by the same opinion from before. Yes the krakoa X-Men were becoming a bit more shady and some of the things they were doing were VERY questionable. But I loved that the not just the X-Men but the mutants as whole created a home all just for them. They were tired of being the victim, tired of constantly being hunted/killed, and tired of taking the high road. Now when they decide to make a home for themselves, have some pride and not to be bullied around anymore, humanity has problem with it? Yeah no, questionable it may be the X-Men pretty much said "We. Are. Done."
Love how Emma has evolved over the years with her character. She always been a bada$$ but now it's so much cooler and better.
I'm also waiting for her to encounter Capt Krakoa and finds out who he is.

-"Captain Krakoa attacks Washington D.C." The Maker did too. He seems to want to turn Earth 616 into a parody of itself, make it in his own image. Honestly he just wants to be God King Doom.

-The Maker has always been critical to Hickman, and Donny Cates' Venom run ends explicitly with "I can't find The Maker."

12:55 she ignore the command to go through gates by the red triangle protocol then got she teleported to New York. Thats why the Iron sentinels attack her this issue
She got Lourdes to teleport her and a handful of others into the Hellfire Basement.
I think there was a thing about that meeting room that, in the comic Sebastian Shaw took over the club, he had the anti telepathy settings altered so Emma could make the then white king gun all the humans down because Shaw believed that Lourdes had died saving him from their Sentinels.
Lourdes died from the gun wounds she received. However, if the settings were restored, that Basement was one of the safest places on earth.
She was there at the Gala. She used the red triangle to resist.
The Avengers and the X-Men should have always worked this well together me, is just sad that it's taken both the A.X.E. & the F.O.X. events for them to pull things together
The best part of the Krakoa arch is that it blurs the traditional good v evil archetypes and allows characters to move based on their motivations. We get to see characters like the King Pin and Apocalypse in a new light. That ends up more closely mimicking real life.
Emma's diamond form shields her from telepathic influence as well

I think Emma was immune to Charles's telepathy because she was in diamond form.
He trained certain mutants a chant or mantra to resist his mind control.
@@EverythingKeem It's a fact that her diamond form blocks all mental attacks. She even did it in the Sin of Sinister storyline.
There can be multiple reasons whatever fits the plot.

Kingpin being affiliated with the X-men is something I wanted to see for a long time. Only thing left for me to see is a conversation between Victor Creed and Cletus Kasady. Marvel make it happen.

Cletus kasady had a conversation with the artist in his new story. If anything they might admire each others work from one being the most bloodthirsty human to the other being the most bloodthirsty mutant.

Cletus is not a human being. He is a concept, an idea, an aspect of Death itself. Earth's Thanos.
Carnage can admire, but only in a twisted, obscene way. His "admiration" is either a quick death, or a long torment with a power boost.

Relatively new viewer here and I gotta say i love this channel. I'm a writer, filmmaker, and animator who was never able to get into comics growing up because i didn't have money to keep up. As an adult I've tried to get into superhero comcis but found the barrier to entry extremely high, or the writing being... not the best. This has been a great resource for picking and chosing which storylines to read. Thanks Rob

If you kind of think about it Cable's vision that he has about a possible future where the Avengers had attacked the X-Men, (because of Hope Summers but let's face it Marvel really hasn't done anything with her character since then), seems to be kind of almost coming true and the reason behind this is because in cable's dark future was a piece of Iron Man armor but it was decked out with Sentinel Tech.
So for seeing a bunch of iron Sentinels flying around with Tony Stark's Iron Man face is almost kind of symbolic since Tony is nicknamed the merchant of death.
Is it weird that I actually think Emma and Tony would make an unironically good couple?

So good seeing such GOOD stories coming out of the X-Men since my days back in the 80s and 90s
I actually didn't know until recently that Stan Lee purposefully created Tony Stark/Iron Man to be highly unlikable (I would've said repulsive, for obvious reasons, but the article quoted SL as saying unlikable), in order to "shove them down their throats and force them to like them". And holy crap, did it work. After the movie came out, there wasn't a mofo on the planet who didn't know who Iron Man was. The story about Stan and the origin of the character is just really fascinating and funny to me.
I didn't either... Interesting. He is a commentary on the Elites' Military-Industrial Complex I guess(?)
I think Stan would be proud of how far Tony's come. But repulsed by the modern X-Men. They are antithetical to their original purpose. Taking a step back you begin to realize *you the reader* are becoming xenophobic towards humanity too.
But *remember; Mutants are humans.* They aren't another homo sapien, like homo sapiens neanderthalensis.
They are just humans with a gene that can be turned on and off. *You can turn a mutant back into a human!*
(btw i realize the ending comes off as aggressive, but that's not aimed at you at all.)

The movie was the key. Downey created the best of the character and helped revive him after they made Tony the supervillain supreme of Civil War 1.

I can't even remember the last time i was so excited by how things are going in Marvel, specially in the X-men. The new and old alliences coming to fruition, the main stories and side stories, everything being connected AND feeling important at the same time. I have high hopes and high expectations for this story, and it keeps delivering. I hope it keeps going like that all the way through!
By the way: the setup of Kingpin as a possible ally of the mutants is something i'd never expect to be so essential. I'd also never predict Star and Emma marrying each other, lmao

Whoa...it makes sense for the Kingpin becoming the White King. Pierce was not a mutant but a cyborg and he was a member of the Hellfire Club.

If she was able to take over him and operate the suit how could it be the suit that prevented her from getting the telepathic command from Xavier?
Because Tony can't have a telepathic null zone active at all times. I imagine it was activated when he gave the command to the suit. I think Emma would be sedated by the suit too, it only makes sense right?

No. It would do the same for Tony, if that were so. Why would he turn it on for her? The sentinels weren’t attacking her mentally. He didn’t know what Charles was doing.
It’s just a little plot hole, in a big story, across several different books.

Emma is my current Marvel Leading lady. I hope she doesn’t get too much of this nasty Disney Dust on her. They’ve destroyed Madelyne imo. This goblin garbage & hardcore attempts to mix magic (Disney) into everything is getting to be a bit much. It’s hard enough to understand which edition of a character you’re getting without all of this recent heavy emphasis on mystical & demonic realms in X-Titles.
Although I do love Emma, have to say that she is a very close 2nd to Storm as leading Lady, tho having said that with what the new Jean Grey miniseries is setting up think both are likely to lose out to her

But, because Limbo was a big thing for the X men with what happened to Magik during that time, during one of her more dubious times in the dreaming, she was approached by a demon and, thinking it was a dream, offered her soul so he would find her baby.

Or, in previous times, it was seen as either the retirement of heroes or “we just love each other”.
We kind of forget that marrying for love is a relatively recent concept.
Tony’s parents were in a loveless but strategic marriage.

I would love it if the xmen/mutants would crushed the anti mutants. Ice man can literally freeze the planet and storm can cause hurricanes or tornadoes world wide. Other Omega level mutants can do the something similar. It's ridiculous the the mutants get crushed when they just want to be left alone.
