It's sad that a man who could bring so much laughter to everyone.. Was hurting so deep inside! The loss of Robin Williams was a shock to the whole world! He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten!!

The dementia demons were horrible for him. I work with Alzheimer's/Dementia clients. It's sad to watch what happens. Robin dealt with it with acting and humor. The dementia demons wore him down.

He didn't kill himself because he was hurting, he killed himself because he was losing control of his mind and body, and didn't want to live that way.
I have nothing but respect for his decision.
Lewy Body Dementia is no way to live.

He had a very aggressive form of neurodegenerative disease. There wasn't much that could have been done to alleviate it. It's a horrific scenario where euthanasia/assisted-suicide could have, sadly, been appropriate.

He was used by the people who run Hollywood to trick you and divert your attention away from their agenda which we know is sex trafficking organ trafficking and sport killing. So get real turn off your screen and tune into the light.

HIS ENERGY CAME FROM COCAINE; QUICK WIT AND MANIC DELIVERY.
NO COCAINE, NO COMEDIC SUCCESS FOR ROBIN.
AND IT CAUSED HIS SUICIDE IN THE END AS WELL. WHEN LIFE-LONG COCAINE ABUSERS QUIT USING THEIR BRAIN CAN NO LONGER PRODUCE SEROTONIN. HE GOT MASSIVELY DEPRESSED AND HUNG HIMSELF WITH HIS BELT.

When my son was 6 or 7 years old, we ran into Robin Williams and Zak at a park in Northern California. Zak seemed to be about the same age as my son. I was teaching my Alex how to grill a hot dog. At some point, we wound up sitting at the same table and he was across and down a little from us and I just couldn't bring myself to try and strike up a conversation or invade his privacy. I don't regret the decision. I thought with all the joy he brought the world, the guy was entitled to a little peace and enjoyment of his free time with his young son without some other fan trying to make small talk. May God rest his soul.

Robin Williams was a singular comic genius who could make anything out of anything. His energy and incredible talent were unmatched. Despite his struggles with depression, he turned his pain into humor, creating moments that were both funny and deeply human. He was a seminal talent that no one could replicate, leaving a lasting impact on comedy and film.

Robin, it’s been 4 years, and I’ll never be over your passing. Simply thinking about you still brings me to tears. You were my best idol. You helped me learn what my passion was, from a very young age. I don’t remember a time in my life where I didn’t know you. You’d been a part of my life for as long as I could remember.
I never thought much about how the death of a celebrity would impact me, until it was you. I’ll never forget the day my dad yelled up the stairs at me, to tell me you had passed. He and I cried together. I denied it, at first, thinking it was just another celebrity death hoax. Robin Williams COULDN’T die, he just COULDN’T.
If only you knew how much the world misses you, Robin. You were beloved by so many people. Your legacy will forever live on in our hearts. I’ll never forget how your eyes just lit up, every time you smiled.
May your beautiful soul Rest In Peace, Robin Williams.

For anyone saying the only reason Robin succeeded was by using cocaine, I think they're wrong. That 'upper' might have made him more manic onstage, but his intellect, humor, delivery, cleverness, wit, etc. were always there. The drug does not make you hilarious just because you speed up. All of us on this page (except professional comedians) could use as much coke as Scarface and we couldn't make an audience laugh.
And how about his acting roles where he played emotional scenes that didn't depend on being speeded up (in fact, they depended on slowing down). Let's not forget he was a TRAINED actor. He paid his dues. He had all the chops.
I read that Steven Spielberg used to call him when he (Spielberg) needed cheering up. He said that Robin always made him laugh and improved his mood.
Robin was a national treasure. He played the full gamut of emotions from hyper manic comedian to tragic figures. Very few entertainers have ever been able to make us laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. I've only seen a few Danny Kaye movies, but he strikes me as a precursor to RW. Kaye could have you falling on the floor in a fit of laughter (see the scene in The Court Jester where his coat of armor gets magnetized via a lightning bolt and he is pulled toward any metal), and then have you wiping a tear.
I'm selfishly sorry that RW left us. I would love to see more Robin Williams movies (from when he was in his prime),. But fate plays no favorites.
I know I'm in the minority on this, but my fav movies of his are Bicentennial Man and Dead Poets Society. (Oh Captain, my Captain!).
He was the kind of entertainer that comes along maybe once in a generation. It's a shame he went out from a disease that took away his mind and body. He knew if he didn't end his life himself, he could look forward only to more and more terrible things happening to him. I don't begrudge him his decision. And I don't begrudge him his use of 'performance enhancing' drugs. As someone once said, if you're against all drug use, then throw away most of your favorite music albums, including the Beatles.
RIP Mister Williams. And thank you.

      The voice of Adrian Cronauer,
" Well folks, looks like we have a little roadkill over here, it's hard to say but it looks like ( insert boyfriend's name ) is causing delays with his body dead in the doorway. We will come back later on that Bill "
Boyfriend thinking " wtf, I can barely speak English, let alone anything in a accent "

I can imagine Robin and his daughter's boyfriend alone in a room waiting for her and while they wait Robin would be threatening him in all sorts of different accents and voices. 😂😂😂😂

In 1986, I was on vacation in L.A. and strolled into the Improv. I had no idea Robin Williams was going to walk on. To this day I am very grateful that he did so that 35 years later I could say I saw him in person. May he rest in peace and may anyone battling demons similar to his find help.

I can't even see this guy without wanting to fall apart. Still and probably never will be over it. The most genuine person in Hollywood of all people to be taken away. I hope Zelda is ok. Poor girl.

I miss his crazy performances, such a huge loss when he left this world.

Comedy was never the same since Robin's passing... honestly the world hasn't been either. Still sad...
