You come across people like Robin Williams and think life with them, for friends and family must be fun, until you realise Robin Williams committed suicide. How life treats you, is so different.
@@welingkartr416 He had a type of dementia that was misdiagnosed as parkinsons disease. He was losing his ability to control his emotions and to think properly, he wasn't being given the correct treatment for the illness that he had. It was very unfortunate, people were told it was depression, but it was actually a neurological problem, his brain could no longer function properly. Im sure Robin was a complex person like we all are, but from what I have heard online from his family and friends, he was a lot fo fun to be around.
I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. I remember hearing the news early in the morning and before that, I had a feeling something was wrong. Anyway, you’re a genius and an inspiration to all of us.
Same here I was on a cruise ship at the time and saw it on the news in my cabin and was in shock we really did lose a fantastic actor he was my childhood and I still miss him to this day RIP Robin Williams
Of all the celebrities losses we had in those past decades, Robin is the one I miss the most. He was a true light to the world and it pains me so much to know he left in so much pain.
I will never forget when he passed. I cried like I lost a family member. Robin Williams had a way of truly connecting with his audience. The world was a better place with him.
I agree I was at work driving a semi truck and was bawling when I heard I was a 42 year old man bawling while driving a semi I can watch him all day 4th grade picture I wore a Mork shirt
I’m still sad about such a tragic loss. If only mental health was treated like an actual important part of life and treating it wasn’t stigmatized, we might not have lost him 😢
The thing I enjoyed most about this video is that Robin was having a blast. His laughter was genuine and he really seemed to be enjoying the show. The Graham Norton Show was a perfect fit for Robin Williams. I had a smile from start to finish.
There will never be another Robin Williams, he was unique and one of a kind. Even 10 years after his death it still hurts and leaves behind a scar on all of us on this planet.
What a legend, never forget him, loved every movie Robin was in & loved the many great story about Robin since then like Ethan Hawke becoming an actor because of Robin & Robin paying for Jessica Chastain’s Scholarship to Juilliard. Will Miss Robin Williams, R.I.P.
I miss Robin Williams so much. I had the pleasure & honor to see him live, in concert, the year before he passed. He was talking about having to take Viagra due to a heart valve replacement. When he got to the side effects, he said, "You have to go to the ER for an erection that lasts more than 4 hours," I blurted out, "You think?" Not more than 5 minutes later he said, "And I know all of you Women in the audience are saying to yourselves, "You Think." I had no idea that he heard what I had said. I'm so glad it was dark in the theater because I turned beat red, tears rolling down my face, & with me sliding down in my seat trying to hide. When I told my friends about what happened, they all told me, "Well, apparently Robin Williams thought your comment was funny. We wouldn't be surprised if he added it into his show." RIP- Dear Sir. You were a versatile person: acting, comedy, singing, etc. What couldn't you do & do well? You are sorely missed by all of us.
I still mourn him. He was such a big part of my childhood in the 80s and then a constant in my adulthood. What a gift we were given to have him for the time we did.
The absolute greatest at improv, comedy, voices, facial expressions, accents, impressions and acting. The world is a much sadder and unhappy place without this beautiful human being. Simply tragic.
Robin Williams: if anyone asks me who is a genius, I refer him/her to anything featuring Robin Williams. So sad that he gave up on life, but so wonderful that we can see his genius at work in the comedic legacy he has left us!
Hope you won’t mind if I share? 🥹 Mr. Williams never gave up, he had DLB (Dementia with Lewy Bodies) and either acted out his REM sleep dreams, or a hallucination/psychotic episode prompted the behaviour that unalived him. His wife fought for years for proof. So unfair. Miss him terribly. 💔
He didnt give up on life. He had his disease for years and years of being tortured he didn't want his family to suffer and he didn't want to suffer ..what's sad is he went undiagnosed but its very difficult to diagnose definitively but he should have been diagnosed a lot sooner. His brain was literally being eaten alive inside. I dont think thats giving up on life. That's giving up on pain and suffering when it can't be cured the only options are death or suffer to death. Most people who are sane would not choose torture and then death but just straight up death while he had the ability to get out he did. He could still be here trapped in his own body suffering and his family watching him suffer. I think anyone would do the same.
God I miss this man! I grieved more for him than I did for certain family members! (And George Michael - 2 of my all time heros). His film 'what dreams may come' was life changing for me - Watched him back in hi sMork and Mindy days and was blown away by him - So missed.
Yes What Dreams May Come….. I saw it in the theater & balled & remember thinking this is what you watch when you lose someone who means a lot to make you feel better. I have it on VHS (still) & yet I have only seen it the one time in the theater. I just haven’t had the guts to feel that movie again. 😢
Some people are just born funny, and Robin was one of the best. Still, my favourite memory of him was as Mr Keating in Dead Poet's Society, instilling a passion for language and art into students conditioned to conform. Truly his magnum opus.
