Dude why do you always say that your vids are "boring" bruh i watch every second of yo damn videos. You have one of the best if not the best content here on yt. Keep on uploading my man!💯♥️
ngl, my 86 has been sitting for the past 2 weeks since the alternator & diff pinion seal went at the same time, but this video actually has me motivated enough to deal with the little mundane maintenance I've been putting off since the parts showed up.
I'm so glad you uploaded man, I just had my first RTC and the car's a write-off now. So feeling super shitty today, this will help distract for 30 mins. Cheers
Dang man I had a red kouki hatch back in like 2003. Loved that car it was nearly as clean as yours. Had to sell it becaise I got orders to japan. I cried the day it sold. I can tell you cherish yours just as much from the care you are taking. Ha! I seized an s13 rear caliper doing the same thing lol Ohhhh I also did a speaker upgrade! I had Polk audio and a hidden FM modulated cd changer in the glove box. Looked fully stock but loud enough to hear the eurobeat over the hks exhaust. Anyway beautiful corolla man. Keep her forever.
Damn.. I might have to make at least a 10 hour loop of that first clip of your car just idling with the snow falling, dog in the back. Such a soothing sight to see oddly enough. Good to see another video, thanks for sharing!
I just installed that same head unit in my 03 bugeye. It's wonderful. Carplay is such a life changer. I just stumbled across your channel, enjoying the chill vibe. Definitely a nice change from the wub wub time lapse car videos.
was just wonderin the other day when we'd get an update, seems it didn't show up in my inbox till now tho. Glad to see it coming along. ty as always for sharing : ) !
12:19 I had the same issue as well on my Ralliart wagon but on the right rear caliper. It bent the pad and cracked as well cause it to have a slight stuck up
She is a daily but she still turns heads! Those rims are perfect on that chassis. The ruff might not be perfect but it is a better job than most people could do.
Tack weld the steering column where it overlaps. I'm not sure that the gasket maker will hold up. This is a common issue on 3rd gen 4runners. I put two nice tacks on my column. A couple of years later and a few hundred miles of trails and its held up real nice.
Nice video. Pro tip on pouring oil in to the funnel...pour it on the side of funnel wall, ie: 3 or 9 o’clock position. It will keep tunnel open for air exchange
Love the paint color and it's really inspiring seeing you try and perfect everything and keep everything stock appearing. Beautiful car that has a lot of life left
I just replaced all four calipers on my X7 Cressida with rebuilt ones from Rockauto and thought they were painted silver like yours, but it turns out they were bare metal and they all flash rusted... Just finished painting them after pulling them back off and disassembling/stripping them...
Always stoked to watch your videos! If your looking for a subwoofer I love the sound out of my JBL Basspro SL, perfect for a e30 unless you need a crazy big thud. Pretty affordable too. Keep up the good work man, look forward to the next one.
@@HarleyHawk1 my old one ended up in Ohio or something. Dude swapped an f20c from the s2000 into it. Thinking about going and getting it back if its as clean as it was when I sold it in 2004.
for the steering column, use urethane sealer. The same stuff you use to glue windshields to your car. Window-weld is a product made by 3m and it dries pretty damn solid.
If you stumble upon an even lighter battery for a decent price I'd consider it, you'll definitely feel the weight loss. S13 has the battery in that same super forward location and when I went from a miata battery to a 7 pound battery I could feel it.
I have a quick question........the aftermarket hub for the wheel assembly, what is the manufacture of that? I am currently working on a 1985 Corolla GTS (AE86) and I am rebuilding the front suspension and I need to find the wheel hubs if there is a good aftermarket version other than the OEM version.
Have you given any thought to the M factory 5th gear? Love your ae86. Nice work on the bumper respray, I have a spare usdm bumper core (middle) if you need for your front?
Nice seeing you back on UA-cam, always love seeing your videos. I remember you saying you were tall so, did you have to make custom seat rails or did you adapt something for the recaros. I was going to replace my seats with aw11 seats, but then when i bolted down the seats I found out i don't fit. reacaos seem to be low enough i was just curious on how you mounted them and if you have headroom. keep up the great work Love all of the 86s you've built and im waiting to see what you do to the ls400!
I'm 6 foot exactly and I had a momo T frame bucket in my ae86. I can't remember who made tje frame and rails but it was like the only ae86 frame you could get in CA back in 2002. Anyway it fit great I could wear my helmet plenty of room (no sunroof woo) but I had my dad machine me a 5 inch steering wheel spacer so I didnt have to reach as far to have my arms at a natural droop to grasp the wheel.
watched all the way so that is what the connector on the heater air duct is for, a key buzzer how thick are those wheel spacers? looking for some like those, front wheels fitment are perfect but the rears looks like the disabled dog from family guy
Nice video, I have a 1989 Toyota Corolla GTS Coupe, 16 valve twin cam...I brought it brand new in Germany. It still runs, I want to restore it, rebuild engine first, body work and paint job!!! Do you rebuild engines? Can’t find anyone here in TN to take on the job, would you be interested in taking on this job?
You know the squeeze pump for the inflatable lumbar support? Yeah that almost a cop to shoot me once I swear to god. He drew his weapon at a routine stop amd started yelling WHAT IS THAT WHAT IS IT DON'T TOUCH IT!! I was like dude chill out I dont know what You I are talking about?? Its part of my seat?!
I had the same thing happen to me twice. 1st was a clean red usdm kouki like this one. Got military ordets to japan and had to sell it. 2nd was a 20v stripped down track missile but my dad passed away and left his 66 corvette to my son and I didnt have room for both. Sorry Corolla, corvette wins.
Don’t lie, you tapped the rail on the touge 😂
No, I think he got tapped by Shingo during a gum tape death match.
No tofu for you.
This AE86 is beautiful machine. Worth the headaches I'm sure
Yeah it’s truly a curse and blessing :)
Not as many headaches as an S85 V12 from BMW.
I should be a homeowner by now but my corolla came into my life in 2006. Still worth it
May i ask what are the most common problems of an AE86?
Marcy Pulmano rust

thanks a lot!
I had a cd in my MR2 I made 15 years ago. Haven’t driven my MR2 for the last 8 years, turned it on yesterday and was greeted with techno/rave. Haha.
ngl, my 86 has been sitting for the past 2 weeks since the alternator & diff pinion seal went at the same time, but this video actually has me motivated enough to deal with the little mundane maintenance I've been putting off since the parts showed up.
Nothing beats driving home on a pinion with sheared teeth.
Almost shook my eyeballs out of my skull.
Watched this and ate some really good trail mix. Best Monday I’ve had in a while.
Watched it the whole way even though I've never seen your vids.
me too

Your videos are instant classics. Love the fact that you don't rush anything, pretty rare and underrated.

Jinsang nice choice of tunes!
Love you're AE86. Super Clean!!
From Olivais Lisboa Portugal, EU with Love for Cars. Keep up the good work
Tasteful modifications. The seats are an awesome upgrade.
Really looking forward to more videos of this AE86. Subscribed! Thank you!
I know it’s a small thing but matching the radio color to the dash was a great touch 👍
Dude it's so nice to see a clean 86! Pog
Damn.. I might have to make at least a 10 hour loop of that first clip of your car just idling with the snow falling, dog in the back. Such a soothing sight to see oddly enough. Good to see another video, thanks for sharing!
Nice work man. Sandwich plates are good fun. You can never have too much foresight with cars and mods.
Fun video. Your 86 is soooo clean I love it. I gotta get my sr5 cleaned up and running again.
The long awaited return
Aaahhhh the long lost 86 that we all love 😎
Most beautiful 86 on the internet for sure 👏
I just installed that same head unit in my 03 bugeye. It's wonderful. Carplay is such a life changer.
I just stumbled across your channel, enjoying the chill vibe. Definitely a nice change from the wub wub time lapse car videos.
Lowkey playing Jinsang in the background. I dig it, I have it on Vinyl!
Nice build watching all the way from Southern California
was just wonderin the other day when we'd get an update, seems it didn't show up in my inbox till now tho. Glad to see it coming along. ty as always for sharing : ) !
Nice! Miss your videos so much man! I really love watching your builds and stuff especially if they are AE86 related!
Those snowflake wheels complement the car so well, glad to see you're still working on it.
Corona Familiar! It's nice to have you back.
Homie workin on the car with jinsang playing.. W
Hell yeah man! Looks super good!
Good to see a upload once in a while. Thanks man
nice RC46! love them in blue!
thanks, custom painted!
ur videos are always great to watch, much love man

I miss you bud! Glad to see you upload.
So clean 🧼

good idea
Love the paint color and it's really inspiring seeing you try and perfect everything and keep everything stock appearing. Beautiful car that has a lot of life left
Hey man, loving those graphics you added to the car...stay awesome!
man that is sooooooooo clean!!!
wow buddy, nice car!!!
1 of my dream cars the AE86
looks like you might need an oil filter relocation kit to make your life easier! Keep up the content dude.
The 10w30 only thicker, when it's cold. Always better to use thinner cold side, if the engine's condition allows. So if you want to thicker, use 5w40.
clean hachiroku and diggin' the Jinsang lofi beats. 👍👍
I just replaced all four calipers on my X7 Cressida with rebuilt ones from Rockauto and thought they were painted silver like yours, but it turns out they were bare metal and they all flash rusted... Just finished painting them after pulling them back off and disassembling/stripping them...
The 86 ones I’ve gotten are always just bare plated metal. That’s a bummer man.
Always stoked to watch your videos!
If your looking for a subwoofer I love the sound out of my JBL Basspro SL, perfect for a e30 unless you need a crazy big thud. Pretty affordable too. Keep up the good work man, look forward to the next one.
Very beautiful
Today is a good day. Noelol and Backyard Built posted videos today.
So happy to see ya back man! Aleays love the uploads
Love an all original corolla
Beautiful car, can't wait to see more
Oh how we've missed your channel
Can I highly recommend an oil filter replicator kit. Just get it setup in the corner of the bay. Mint 👌
Filter relocator. Yes I had one on my s14 on japan and im like WHY have I never done this before???
@@RandomStuffGarage619 so useful when the filter is in obscure places hey!
That's cool!!👍Reilly, long time no see.
Been looking for one for quite some time. Makes it tough when you're looking in the Midwest. All these cars are on the east and west coast
And south don't forget south
Find the cleanest one. Fly there and dive it home. These cars are worth it.
Haha yes. That's all I can think of. Thanks for the support. I'll keep looking
@@HarleyHawk1 my old one ended up in Ohio or something. Dude swapped an f20c from the s2000 into it. Thinking about going and getting it back if its as clean as it was when I sold it in 2004.
Those Recaros are gorgeous! Keep it up man, I always look forward to seeing your videos in my sub box :)
Remote filter setup asap. Car's looking good man.
for the steering column, use urethane sealer. The same stuff you use to glue windshields to your car. Window-weld is a product made by 3m and it dries pretty damn solid.
i still want to be able to remove the steering shaft at some point
Consider Evaporust for those rusty metal bits that you'd like to reuse.
Really love the content bro.
You had me at getjapan!😍

I used xcessive seat brackets and generic sliders and made it work. looking for a more permanent solution later down the road.
Right 86 are solid axel arent they? They make look similar to my Celica but we got IRS instead...
watched all the way
so that is what the connector on the heater air duct is for, a key buzzer
how thick are those wheel spacers? looking for some like those, front wheels fitment are perfect but the rears looks like the disabled dog from family guy
lol, 25mm
sheesh he's back 🤙
Can you list any era appropriate bucket seats that come to mind for roughly early to mid 90s cars?
I had a momo t frame in my ae86. Bought in 2001 so that is about right? For late 90s anyway.
Nice
Yeah buddy 👍👍👍💨💨💨💨
Nice video. Would’ve been good to paint the column whilst you had it off aha
So this is a gts right? Not an ae86? It's just the western release of the car right? Just looking for clarification lol
Nice video, I have a 1989 Toyota Corolla GTS Coupe, 16 valve twin cam...I brought it brand new in Germany. It still runs, I want to restore it, rebuild engine first, body work and paint job!!! Can't beat those stock rims
What did you do with your Toyota Corolla FX-16 ?
I just finished the second season of Initial D. Now I see this in my subscriptions. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
You know initial d has 5 seasons right?
Camp Lo @11:00 got me lowkey hyped
classic!
What brand spacers are you using?
What the name of the color on the car? and how could i find more info on it?
Bless
OEM gts corolla seats were the best seats ever installed in a production car. - Car and Driver.

Prefer the 87' UK GT corrolla not Levin style 1, had it 12yrs forced to sell wish I hadn't... but couldnt find dry storage @ the time.

What ended up happening to the FX16?
Love it
Will come back 💯💯💯
Good stuff man 👍

AAAAAHAHAHAHHAA the key minder!!!! That was the FIRST damn thing I did on mine was get rid of that! Of course now its probably worth like a c note lol
