Really enjoyable film. I liked the focus on the Burnham and Tilly characters. The actress who portrayed Burnham did a nice job capturing her character.
Nice way to blend TOS and Disco elements; I do hope those 79 rescued officers and crew get a thorough medical analysis to make sure there aren’t any leftover active alien cybernetics!

More classic, traditional Star Trek in the style of DISCOVERY! in addition to some remarkable special effects, it is amazing how this motion picture starred two ladies who look and act just like the real Michael Burnham and Silvia Tilly from DSC! 🙂
Very interesting this visually feels more like how Discovery should have been. Just parts of TOS verbatium with small amounts of new tech, uniforms and characters added to further the story. Not just a dramatically major retcon of all elements and technology just to seem "newer".
Congratulations Team Tesi. I thought everyone involved did an outstanding job. The story, the acting, the fx, music everything was just great. I want more!!!!! :)
Some nice technical work. Too many plot holes for me though. Two days to repair the ship but the crew has only been gone a day. That's a plot hole you can drive a truck through. The engineering ensign on the Constitution being less capable than jumped up cadet Tilly? Tilly didn't even finish the Academy. Archer never saw a Borg cube either if memory serves correctly.
It's good, but one flaw , Borg do no take prisoners, the crew would be directly assimilated ... or would be in the process of assimilation. The crew that came back were still the same.. Micheal mentions archers reports but no mention of phlox way to fight the Borg assimilation
There are some mistakes. The borgs during NX 01 time was from the future from the Star Trek first contact. Plus the suppose borg vessel wasn't a borg vessel. They simulated a ship and turn it into a borg ship. When The NX 01 approached the Borg ship. The borgs didn't see NX 01 as a threat until the NX 01 took action to make them as a threat. So when Michael order the crew to approach the ship on thrusters. The borgs still saw your ship but didn't take any action because it was not a threat to the borgs. The borg ship can easily take over the ship. Other than that it was still good.
I was the VFX artist for the film. Originally, I explored building and texturing a CG model similar to the assimilated ship seen in the ENT episode "Regeneration," but since dialogue described the ship as a cube, I had to shift directions. In my mind, the cube seen in this film is much smaller than a traditional Borg cube, bigger than a Constitution-class starship but not by much. It's a long-range scouting vessel that looks like an early version of the tactical cube seen in VOY. Not exactly canon, I know. (And believe me, I know. I've got a 30 year old collection of Trek technical manuals, blueprints, and sourcebooks on my shelves.) But, I think it worked for this film.
I've always thought that the whole 'Borg won't respond until you threaten them' was a serious disadvantage when you boarded their cubes. What's to stop someone from boarding and planting anti-matter charges all around the cube and then detonating them?
Ray Tesi did an Awesome job as well as all the others. But I especially enjoyed the Camera Angles, Lighting, Special Effects and Music !!! KUDOS to All !!!
I guess one can call that maneuver against the Borg as a "sneak & Snag". Sneak up to the Borg cube ship and snag the hostages without being detected. Well done to all in this episode.
Not a “boo-boo”. The ship depicted in this film is not the Enterprise. It’s the Constitution. As this film took place after April commanded The Enterprise, it’s perfectly reasonable to assume he could be commanding another ship after commanding the Enterprise.
@@allanwhite5747 This film takes place at least 10 years prior to TOS. There's no established date for his promotion. This fan film was also shot before that episode was released. So, it's only a 'Boo-boo" in your mind.
The Borg in the alpha quadrant in the twenty third century, a whole bunch of them should have assimilated more people into drones but the seventy nine people rescued only had some implants and they left the ship damaged and the junior officer's alone but not assimilated which is not Borg standard operating perceedcer so something is strange is going down here and in my opinion they were too busy repairing the ship to complete the assimilation of the crew.... bottom line those Borg were slipping eight ways from Sunday 😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏!!!!!!
not really they're basically mixing the two aesthetics together. since the discovery uniforms are still in use in the 2250s and the constitution class was sporting the TOS style uniforms we just see the change from the audience perspective but i'll assume that the season 3 TOS uniforms were supposed to be what they were wearing in the 2250s just no budget for the pilot.
Great job! I'm not a big fan of the Borg being in "Enterprise" and in TOS because they were unknown when Picard met them. I did really like the overhead bridge shot, nice work... Not really sure about the plot of "sneaking up" on a Borg cube, but otherwise I enjoyed it. :-)
