One thing I've noticed with the fan productions is the crewmen understand the chain of command and talk like adults in a military space setting as opposed to the professionals who have the "crew" acting like hyperactive teenagers who talk back to everyone and talk in modern slang. I will be happy if and when Star Trek is released from bandage and is sold to a different studio that won't have these 20 minute rules for fan productions.😮😮😮
Some of the language is “current” but there is no further quibbling over it. This is a fine video with solid acting and video. It has the ST-TOS “vibe”. I will look for more.
As a very longtime Star Trek 'enthusiast' of African extraction, I am truly impressed at seeing a TOS Era Constitution class Heavy cruiser, with a 'Negro' officer (Old 20th Century description), in command. (While it was 'inferred' that Starfleet Starships were commanded by 'Earthmen' of various 'racial' and 'ethnic' backgrounds during the run of the original series, it had 'never' actually been shown. Yes, Commodore Stone 'mentions' his 'previous' Starship command experience.) Some Sixty Years after "Star Trek TOS" was originally broadcast on the NBC Television network. Change 'does' happen, albeit at a 'Glacial' pace. Thank you, to EVERYONE who gave their time and talents to produce a truly wonderful fan made Star Trek film! P&LL. LL&P!
WalterDWorma.... actually in the episode Court Martial actor Percy Rodriguez played a former Starship Captain who had been promoted to Commodore & was Kirk's superior officer.
@@jeffanon1772 Yes, @WalterDWomack214 had already mentioned that in his comment (read it again, carefully). I think the point he was making was that there was not a person of African descent that was shown actively commanding a starship.
@DL-lx4ei that is a different timeline. The Prime Universe still shows Gene Rodenberry as Captain April in official books, and will always be that person. CBS/Paramount has reconned so much of Trek lore, from uniforms, ships, female hairstyles, to whatever fits their fancy. Rewriting history instead of moving forward seems to all they know in Hollywood the last 15 to 20 years.
Loved the story from the first time I read the script back in 2019. Now, seeing the final product on screen is amazing! I am so damn happy right now, you have no idea.❤❤❤❤
Excellent episode. You really embraced all of the original series down to the music in the different scenes. This is the first film I have seen from The Neutral Zone and I am going to look for new episodes and the quality of this episode made me think of Vic Mignogna videos and after doing a quick check I see he is the executive producer for this series. You have the best people here and you ROCK!!
In my hunger for Star Trek, I have watched some very dingy fan productions, This one is set apart and only Axanar is equal in plot and results. Great job! Edit: I am subscribing.
And at that time era, each starship has it's own emblem that would have been worn on uniforms, as other fan productions have faithfuly implemented. However, the production is quite well done otherwise.
I paused it before the last scene to offer my compliments on a very authentic bit of story trekking. It’s good enough to want to argue with somebody over whether this breaks canon, uniforms, computer operating system, etc. … And I mean that as a compliment!
Great short film! While all fan projects are clearly labors of love in the Trek community, they seldom have this level of great acting. I really enjoyed this.
Superb Episode!! Every bit as good as the "real" Star Trek!!! Kudos and hats off to all who produced this!! Keep up the good work!!-- From a 57yr Star Trek Fan!!
Greetings Neutral Zone Crew, Great Production and interesting story. Note to the Makeup crew: note that in the original series the hair styles were out of this world! Your actors have amazing hair lengths and types just waiting for amazingly creative styles for you to crate, express yourselves. This comes as kind advice my wife requested I pass on to you.
*spoiler* I am confused. Was there a part missing? Did get the ending right? My understanding: 1. Time agent jumped to the date of the attack. 2. Time agent convinced star fleet to intercept the attacking fleet. 3. The attack was stopped. 4. Somehow the other time agent is alive and this was their plan all along? How?
No, by stopping the attack it altered the timeline so that J'laan never became a slave. Therefore, he never traveled back in time to die. Instead, he became a temporal agent. The version of J'laan who died was a "Timeline Remnant" from a timeline that was erased.
Still - the attack only occurred because the J'lan that went back in time was able to destroy the vaccine. Why did they not stop that from happening? To truly restore the timeline, they should have intercepted sooner, and saved 90% of the population & the war footing it put the planet on. Just this small interception by Starfleet hardly fixes things.
If you might argue that this would have violated the prime directive, that J'lan was violating the temporal prime directive by stealing Federation technology he would otherwise not have had - so it was within their purview to stop that, I should think. Perhaps they didn't have enough information to do that, but they surely did by the end. Hopefully they try again -- they were willing to pull Seven back and try again multiple times to save Voyager.....
Liked the story line but found the ending a little bit ending to quickly would have like to have seem what the commander did after leaving the Constellation rather than jumping a few year hundred years and then wading off am attack. Though I thought it displayed elements of ST TOS quite nicely. Thought the actor playing the captain did a nice convincing role. Overall well done. One of the better ST Fan spin offs.
You guys are not the first to reupload a fan film Richard Michael Alveraz at the Rich Alvarez channel had to reupload episode 37 of Stupid Mario Brothers so perhaps i should say join the club, and since the invasion was stopped his future is looking a lot brighter and for the record who says there never is a temporal agent when you need them 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯 percent great story line here!!!!!
The chick at the beginning (to me) looks just like Seska. I like this Captain. I would certainly follow him. Only problem I have, is that the ending is anticlimactic.
Hi Everyone! We had to re-upload the film. Thank you for your understanding.
You confused me lol.

A testament to the sad state of current Trek...
A GREAT Star Trek story! The ending was surprising and sneaky!

Captain April has been reconned to be black in Strange New Worlds.
@DL-lx4ei that is a different timeline. The Prime Universe still shows Gene Rodenberry as Captain April in official books, and will always be that person. Enjoyed this. I would love to see more adventures of Captain Chandler and the crew of the Constitution.
Why, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

oh this was SO GOOD! thank you all for keeping true Trek alive and well!
Surprisingly good episode with a story worthy of Star Trek TOS.
Thank you for sharing another great video production for the UA-cam fans.
The computer would've totally wished him luck by 30th century
Very entertaining and well made. A lot of these fan made films are better than the Hollywood ones. Keep up the good ones...
In my hunger for Star Trek, I have watched some very dingy fan productions, This one is set apart and only Axanar is equal in plot and results. Great job! Edit: I am subscribing.
It is a genuine tragedy that Prelude to Axanar wasn't able to be made into an entire film & released to the theaters....it would have been AWESOME
Apparently in the 23rd century, they've forgotten how to iron their clothes.
And at that time era, each starship has it's own emblem that would have been worn on uniforms, as other fan productions have faithfuly implemented. However, the production is quite well done otherwise.

Just AWESOME!!! This is the Star Trek that I enjoy watching.
This one was a great story!
Good job, loved the twist at the end when its revealed the time travellers have their own agenda
So.....this is supposed to mirror conspiracy theories about the REAL origin on the covid19 pandemic
4:10 - The Federation Drug Council has determined that satellite dispersion of vaccines is safe and effective.
Wonderful! Great work! I especially enjoyed the camerawork and complete absence of shaky-cam. Congrats!
Chandler is great. Give us more.
Thank you, that's very kind.

Wow this was AWESOME!!
Very nice! Story was well thought out. Acting was good. Graphics were great.
It was refreshing to see a decent Star Trek fan film for a change.
This is one of the best fan films I’ve ever seen kudos from a new subscriber 👍🙂
Wow , just like the Klingon Capt said about Kirk in S.T. 5 ..." Oh , you're good " . Well done to you , whoever you are .
When fan productions such as these are BETTER than the "studio" productions...
Amazing job!
Excellent!
Wow! Great show thank you.
Wow! This is the best Star Trek fan production I've seen yet!

That was impressive! 🙂🙂🙂🙂

This is pretty good! Gonna share it.
Epic opening music. 😍
You'd think that a phaser going off onboard would set off some type of alarm 🤣🤣🤣
Amazing thank you. Love 60s trek better than modern trek
Great! But that guard in sickbay has to be the OLDEST Lieutenant in Starfleet!
my x-wyf has been a lowly cashier at wal-mart for 22yrs. not an head cashier or even a csm, at least this chap made a lt...lol

I'd hate to think what COVID-29 will do... I just recovered from COVID-19 yesterday lol.
Did you build a next gen bridge set??
The chick at the beginning (to me) looks just like Seska.
I like this Captain. I would certainly follow him.
Only problem I have, is that the ending is anticlimactic.
Haven't finished this yet but it appears to have multiple MAJOR violations of the Prime Directive in just the first six minutes...🤯
Operation transwarp?
the captain is so 60s
Freaking commi-UTube-ertials!
this is well-made but odd, why not just fix the vixen, cure humm spelling
