Kudos on the story, and the acting was pretty good as well. I know these are not done with a huge budget so I will say congrats, keep up the good work. It would be nice to see someone take this up a notch since these are getting more popular.
I love that the quality of most of these fan made episodes are in line with a regular TV episode, although I am not a fan of the CGI generated episodes. I make this comment while keeping in mind that these fan films do not have 1/10th the budget of even a TOS episode and therefore the special effects are not the best, but still better than some studio made movies of the past 50 years. Keep up the good work guys.
My kids love my acting debut! We had movie night tonight! I’m a star in my home! Thanks Pete, Dr Spinner, John, and the whole team !!!!!! I’m so thankful to be apart of this! ❤
The Captain Janeway of this USS Defiant must be the great-grandfather of Kathryn Janeway? I seem to remember that in the series Star Trek Voyager, it was said that the Janeways have a long tradition of serving in Starfleet.
Yes, that was an "Easter Egg' in the story line. You may have noticed that Dr. Erickson (Dr. Schofield) lied and told Captain Janeway that her name was Kathryn, she was trying to conceal her identity to him and gave him a false first name. He responded that "he liked that name" and he would remember it.
A minor but notable performance by Robble Keuchler (Lt Veto) at the OPs console. Appeared comfortable and natural in his delivery. Robble should get a promotion and greater exposure in future episodes.
My understanding, from the animator, was that he felt that Romulan ships (similar to the Klingon cruisers) could probably navigate and land in the atmosphere of their planet. Therefore, it would not be unreasonable to assume that a ship that operated in the atmosphere would have some oxidation on it. Since he felt (for the time period) this was most likely one of the first ships the Romulans installed cloaking abilities in they would probably use an older ship for the experiment, hence, the reason he added oxidized plating.
there are free oxygen ions in space - they make up a not insignificant percentage of interstellar dust. Smashing into those at many times the speed of light you're going to get some ionic stripping of hull plating.
This is how you would expect a starfleet crew to behave undres distress, better than the normal scripts from star trek. I kind of hated the idioteen character, well played by the young lady.
Thank you, our entire team is made up of educators. We try to schedule an episode each year as a finale to augment our free children's instructional programs that we film and produce (Spacegatestation.com) throughout the school year.
The answer to that question was intentionally left out of the story so the viewer could decide what they thought she eventually did with the pictures. However, that being said, we are working on a video short that will highlight the two girls and their Tick Tock video including the pictures she took during the episode. Stay tuned!
Yes, in Kingsland, Georgia. All our episodes are filmed there, and the set construction is outstanding. They are an amazing group of people to work with and have always treated us great when we use their facility.
This is the USS Defiant NCC1764. The one that on stardate 5693.2 the Enterprise (TOS) located after it was reported missing. The crew had died, and it had been lost between universes in a space warp.
Excellent, brilliant, superb, awesome & cool!! A fun little romp to the future and back home again😁😁😁
Thanks again!

very true
Have to admit that gal being jumped into starfleet gave me a giggle.
it was fun project
Great graphics but I have a question. How does hull plating oxidize in space?

Our team thanks you for your positive comments. Anna, who played Ms. Hernandez, was a joy to work with and the most talented of the cast.
Nice work folks you all played your parts really well and the story was good to, i hope you make more Star Trek based content in the future.

@@spacegatestation I think you could all make really good Star Trek fan films.
We appreciate that, if teaching children didn't take up so much time we would.
@@spacegatestation That is a huge shame because you were all very good at doing it.
What are talking about? Appalling acting by all involved, totally spoilt it for me.
🤠
Thanks
Fantastic. Love the story line..
Glad you enjoyed it
One question, all those pictures that girl, Erika, took. If she ends up posting them all to TikToc or Instagram... 🤔🤨😶
The answer to that question was intentionally left out of the story so the viewer could decide what they thought she eventually did with the pictures. However, that being said, we are working on a video short that will highlight the two girls and their Tick Tock video including the pictures she took during the episode. Stay tuned!
Did you film this at Neutral Zone Studios?
Yes, in Kingsland, Georgia. All our episodes are filmed there, and the set construction is outstanding. They are an amazing group of people to work with and have always treated us great when we use their facility.
@@spacegatestation I wanna plan a trip there to take a tour.
