    I got the duo crisp for Christmas from my wife. I have been wanting one for quite some time. When I saw the new one I told her I wanted it for Christmas. Tonight I tried your wing recipe and we were amazed at how good this thing works. I am going to try more of your recipes. Thanks

    John, Thanks for this video! I'm a beginner and have not had much success using the air fryer mode. I just made wings following your instructions and they were some of the best wings I've ever had. The wings were soft coming out of the pressure cook as expected and the air fryer finish gave them an amazing crisp. Your video is exactly what I needed - something very simple that is hard to get wrong.

    This is the video I've been waiting for. Thank you for making this. I have the 6 qt Instant Pot and have been making the Franks Red Hot Wings from your first Instant Pot Red Hot Wings video. This Duo Crisp will save me that extra step of transferring them to the oven to crisp them up. Not that there's anything wrong with that method but an all in one machine is what I'm looking for. Great explanation Jelly and look forward to more recipes in this machine. My decision is made. The Duo Crisp is my next purchase.

    Just made these in my new IP Duo Crisp. Yours is the first recipe I tried. Other than getting the C9 error code at the beginning of air frying (not sure what Sensor in Air Fry Lid open circuit means in manual?), they turned out awesome! I cancelled air frying, repositioned the lid, made sure it was secure and restarted air frying. That seemed to get rid of the error code. I followed your recipe to the T with success. Yummy! My teenager had that look of mom, why didn't you make more!! Thank you!!

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  4 роки тому +1

      You picked an excellent recipe...we love them...I think that error you got could be from the connector on the lid not being seated properly, I always push down a little on the part of the lid...just fyi...but either way that is some valuable information, thank you for sharing that and thanks for trying my recipe and glad y'all enjoyed it!!!

      me myself and i you will use way less hydro electricity because the pot is contained and somewhat insulated for the pressure cooking. Also John measured the temp. Of the leaving air, on the air fryer, and found it to be lower than others. So they must be doing some thing smart with using a heat exchanger to transfer heat between airstreams. Compared to a stove top burner it will use less power.

    Thanks for the vid John. I got my air fryer lid for my 6qt Instant pot and use it a lot. My only complaint is that, with the basket installed, there is not a lot of room for a typical portion for two adults ... and still leave room for air circulation around the pieces. It still does an amazing job. Maybe the 8 qt model would have been a better choice for us.

    Loving all the new Instant Pot Duo Crisp videos. Have had an instant pot but bought one of these for our motorhome. Thinking I am going to need two because I love it so much in the house that it may not make it out to the motorhome! Loved knowing the heat coming out the back while frying was so much lower than the Ninja.

      @@JohnSanders OMG!! They were so good. I found Buffalo Wild Wings Caribbean Jerk sauce (my favorite) at Walmart, so I used that and put them in for another few minutes after putting in sauce, and they were even better than BW's wings! Nice video.
    You should risk dirtying a saucepan and melting some butter, garlic (crushed cloves or powder), onion powder, tabasco sauce, crushed red pepper flakes, and adding enough Frank's Hot Sauce to turn the butter to the "Buffalo orange" color. Adjust sauce by adding either butter or Frank's. A little garlic powder and salt wouldn't be lost on those wings before air-frying as well.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  4 роки тому +1

      I do a recipe with a few more steps and it involves merging butter and regular Frank's until the color is almost exactly as you describe...and Frank's red hot dust goes on in the beginning...but your other ingredients sound good also...they are a excellent quick and easy fix for something everybody around here loves...thanks for sharing your recipe and thank you for watching!

    I bought the InstaPot last year for daughter but haven’t got one for me yet. I’m afraid it is way to complicated to use. I’m sure many others think the same as me so wonder why it hasn’t happened yet.

      The air frying basket is fairly large in this unit and I will say that I have had larger ones in stand alone air fryers but none I truly liked...when you put more than say two pounds of fries in a basket with one handle it gets a little hard to handle...or that has been my experience...you might look at air frying toaster ovens but most of them are limited to about the same amount...hope this helps Sandi and thanks for watching!
