Stumbled across this channel and you just earned a new sub bro, nice build! Bout to binge watch the build videos 👍🏻
I did headers on a gtp I had, i found if you take the front Dogbone mounts off and ratchet strap the motor forward you get to the rear very easy.
Timothy Mosley that's a good idea thanks for the heads up
Boosted Buckets yw
Timothy Mosley I know they sell shorter ones which are suppose to benefit you somehow but I just recently found out you can get shorter ones from a junkyard out of like a Pontiac Montana van lol
Great content dude can't wait to see this channel blow up. I know that it will!!!!
the flood thanks I hope so!!!
Wow I'm speechless 👍👍👍
I found the clamp if anyone cared haha
Boosted Buckets sweet mustache broooooo
What kit did you buy(Specific name)?
What kind of suspension plans do you have for the car. It's gonna need some help keeping the tires planted lol cool build so far
victor dontyouwannaknow not much for right now I don't think this motor will last more then like two months lol and after I want to swap in a v8 and at that time I'll start working on like the suspension and I want to strip the interior but I want this coil over/ k member package for the front end and I'm not sure about the rear ha
That inner fender is really structrual part, don't cut it. For the oil supply i suggest to read some forums, i'm not too familiar with usdm. Greetings from europe! Also for the hood dumps you can always make the right side turbo dump a little bit longer under the hood so they come up at same place, would look nice.
122funny ok do you think I can get by by beating it in a little with a hammer? Haha and I didn't think about that for the turbo dumps that's a good idea
Boosted Buckets little beating should be fine.
122funny cool thanks for the info
Boosted Buckets as a trained body technician I will agree, do not cut that inner fender well. denting it is not ideal, but would be much better than cutting. dents might just compromise some integrity in a crash, but in a build like this you shouldn't be too worried about that.
ak operator yea I mean I'm not as worried about getting into a crash I just don't want to have the front end rip off on me or something hahah
You should totally ad side pipes on each side or right through the front bumper but it's your build so do what ever.
Semi-Deep Thinker hahaha I thought about that too that would be pretty sweet
Best video ever !!!
I did actually read some mustang forums and you can delete ac with a shorter belt. no extra pulley needed. just some FYI to consider, though I'm not trying to push you into doing it lol
ak operator really? I think I would have to remove the tensioner too cause the way the belt is routed it would be backwards on the water pump pulley, tomorrow I'm just ganna take this big hammer I have and beat the inner fender in so I can bolt the turbo up and get the other side that far then do the oil lines I just want to be able to start it and hear the spool hahahah
Boosted Buckets I saw a forum a guy had a pic posted of it together, but I didn't see it run lol. I saw several people claiming it works, some of them even posted part numbers to the belts they used. I just googleed "mustang 3.8 ac delete"
ak operator I'll have to look into it again when I was doing some researching all I found was something about the tensioner needing to be moved or something and then something about it turning the water pump backwards but idk
ak operator I think you can only get a shorter belt with the gts and have it work not on the 3.8 if you look up a belt diagram for the 98 v6 mustang the ac is at the top left and without it the belt would get caught on it self at the water pump pulley unless you came up with something I think
I was wondering the same thing. Bummer if it's not possible. I honestly like the older Japanese design that uses two belts, particularly Subaru's which has an AC only belt, so you don't lose water or power steering if that belt is gone.
damn bro you dont see much vids like this anymore, keep em up i really wanna see how this turns out
That Ricer Jason thanks man and I definitely will I've always wanted to make UA-cam videos and now that I'm started it's getting easier to talk to the camera and stuff. Glad you enjoy it!!!
How much was the kit? Cuz I keep seeing twin turbo kits for like $1000 and that seems WAY to cheap...
Syndicate441 yup I paid $1000 probably not the best quality and everything but it will get you going if that’s what you want to do!
Boosted Buckets I’m really wanting to put one on my car, and I’m not trying to make 1000 advertised horsepower, so I’m really thinking I wouldn’t be blowing up. Thanks for the input
Syndicate441 no problem bud
Either way man nice build
Cody Brock thanks man, kinda disappointed I went this route cause my real goal is to swap in a ls junkyard motor from like a Silverado and boost it and I think that’s another reason I’ve lost a little motivation with this twin turbo build but I just need to finish this up and mess around with it for a bit and have some fun and then tear it down and get rid of the engine and trans and start to swap it and make some real power, I’m in the process of looking for a 5.3 or 6.0 engine currently but any major updates or progress will definitely be uploaded to my channel! Thanks for the interest
Did you ever get it working
Dude what's up with the build are going to make any more videos
Cody Brock it’s where the most recent vid is I just haven’t had the time to work on it unfortunately and it’s already cold here, I know I need to just finish it
Boosted Buckets did you finish your car
@@BoostedBuckets what kit did you get?
Just a universal kit?
@@Z33trell no it was some eBay kit specifically for the v6 mustang but being eBay it was like half complete and stuff didn’t fit right I ended up not continuing with it and it’s sat for a few years and I’d like to put a Chevy v8 into it now that’s kinda always been my end Goal
