No there’s still the motor and trans mount underneath so you don’t need to worry about that, these just prevent the engine from rocking front to back

New mounts wouldn't solve the issue. What this procedure over comes is the verticle rubber being pulled sideways, instead force being applied to one side of the rubber beam. Gm builds the mount and installs the rubber vertically. If you look at one in person, the rubber mount looks is a square with a rubber beam running through the middle, only connecting 2 sides. When this beam is situated vertically, it prevents the engine from moving vertically, but allows movement forward and backwords. Causing the engine to rock and shudder back and forth engaging a gear and sudden acceleration. By resituating the beams horizontally, the engine now has a stiffer resistance to the forward and backward motions, allowing firmer shifts and less jitter with transaxle. It does allow engine to move vertically more though. This is a good procedure for a free modification, however, this can cause excess strain on other motor mounts as well if they are worn out. The best option is zzp polyeurathane mounts. They are solid and prevent the motor movement completely, while still absorbing hard movement

kyle hodges how much for the 6.0? I can find 5.3s and don’t need the harness or ecu. The few 6.0s I’ve seen have been expensive! I though about buying a wrecked truck with a 6.0 and 80e for the drivetrain also

Doing one at a time will allow each new mount to be extra stressed, however, it should be fine to replace in pairs. Both uppers, then later the lowers in horizontal pairs.
