  • I. Tips Before Installation
1.No Need to Remove the Steering Wheel: The cover can be installed directly without removing the steering wheel from your vehicle.
    2. Fits Over Factory Steering Wheel: This cover is specifically designed to fit over the original factory leather. Do not remove the factory leather.
    3. Use Single Thread for Sewing: Single-thread sewing allows you to adjust the tension easily, ensuring a smooth and neat finish.
    4. Double-sided Tape is Optional:Our custom steering wheel covers are designed to wrap around the spoke areas. Using double-sided tape is optional and can help achieve a tighter fit. However, if you prefer not to use tape, taking a bit more time during the stitching process will also result in an excellent fit.
    5. How to Use Plastic Blade: Use the plastic blade to press the edges of the steering wheel cover, ensuring it fits tightly around the wheel and to tuck any excess material into the gaps, especially around the spokes.
    6. Notice Regarding Alcantara : We strongly recommend a cautious approach when handling this material. Specifically, ensure that your thread is looped through every pre-sewn stitch to improve durability and achieve a clean, professional finish.
    7. Allocate Sufficient Time: Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the installation. Listening to your favorite music during the process can make it more enjoyable.
    II. Preparation Before Installation
    1. Check the Steering Wheel’s Condition
    • If the steering wheel has worn or damaged areas, use electrical tape or other materials to repair them. This helps restore the original thickness, ensuring the cover fits snugly.
    2. Clean the Steering Wheel
    • Wipe the steering wheel with a damp cloth or alcohol wipes to remove any dust, grease, or residue. Make sure the surface is completely dry before proceeding.
    III. Installation Steps
Step 1: Adjust the Cover’s Position
    1. Identify the front side of the steering wheel cover and slide it onto the steering wheel.
    2. Align the cover so that the top (12 o’clock), bottom (6 o’clock), and sides (3 o’clock and 9 o’clock) are properly positioned.
    3. If the cover has a stripe or marking, ensure it is centered at the 12 o’clock position.
    Step 2: Secure the Cover
    1. Use double-sided tape to secure the cover to the steering wheel.
    2. Important: Avoid placing the tape on the edge of the cover. Leave a 5mm gap to allow excess material to be tucked into the spoke areas later.
Step 3: Handle the Spoke Areas
    1. Use the plastic blade to gently tuck excess material into the gaps around the steering wheel spokes.
    2. Important: When tucking, fold the material inward to avoid scratching or damaging the surface of the cover.
    Step 4: Begin Sewing
    1. Sew in Sections: Sew one section at a time. This ensures even stitching and better control.
    2. Adjust Thread Length: Cut a piece of thread 3 to 4 times the length of the section you plan to sew.
    3. Sewing Method:
    • Pass the needle through the pre-sewn stitching on the cover.
    • Tighten the thread after each stitch to ensure a snug fit. Avoid leaving any loose stitches as they are difficult to adjust later.
    4. Handle Corners Carefully: When sewing around corners or curves, adjust the thread tension to maintain a smooth and seamless fit.
    5. Finish the Threading: After completing the sewing, trim any excess thread and tuck the ends securely inside the spokes to keep the finish neat and professional.
